Blabbermouth

Marion had this amused expression on his face as he fixed his eyes on Aliyah. She folded her arms across her chest as she wondered what was making him smile. Marion was marvelled, he didn't get the reason why she looked surprised to see him because this was his room while Aliyah on the other hand was furious as to why he came into the room even though she had locked it since he was well aware that she lived here now.

"What is it Alie? You look like you have just seen a ghost," Marion chuckled laying on the bed.

"How did you get in? I thought I locked the door, " Aliyah mumbled when she finally found her voice.

He sighed and then sat up his eyes flickering with mischief as they roamed her.

"About that, how could you even think about locking me out of my room? This is my room, or need I remind you?"

"Excuse you, since you thought that the both of us getting married was a great idea then you'll have to find another room," she stated with a straight face.

Marion's mocking laughter filled Aliyah's ears making her scowl at him.

"Seems like you've lost your mind," she mumbled rolling my eyes at him.

He shook his finger as his laughter died down and then he kept a straight face.

"I haven't Alie, I think it is you who has lost your mind. You can't possibly kick me out of my own room and I won't be cruel to kick you out so we just have to sha. ."

"Hell no," Aliyah snapped cutting him off. There was no fucking way that she was going to agree to share a room with the one person she despised so much.

"I am not going to share a room with you. It's fine if you won't leave this room, I'll just leave. It's a great thing that there are a lot of rooms in this mansion."

"Alie, I think you are forgetting something. We are a married couple, you know what that means right? We are husband and wife so we are one now, what do you think people would say when they find out we live in different rooms?" he muttered standing up, he took steps closer to Aliyah but the moment he came close she walked away from him keeping a distance between them.

"I don't care what people would say, Marion. They are not the ones who have to live in the same room with someone as annoying as you are Mr Brews!" Aliyah snapped glaring at him.

"Ouch," a frown marred Marion's face and he placed a palm on his chest pretending to be hurt by Aliyah's words.

"That is so much hatred. Why do you hate me so much?" he lifted a brow at her and she gave him a do you really need an answer to that look.

Mario started the whole thing he loved to bully her whenever he came to the house to see Kylie he was always throwing jibes at Aliyah. She always ignored him but then one day he told his Kylie that Aliyah had feelings for him and that was enough to create a huge ruckus at the house that almost made Aliyah homeless.

Kylie accused Aliyah of trying to snatch her boyfriend and Kylie's mom called Aliyah a whore. The only reason Aliyah's aunt didn't throw her out was because she feared what people were going to say when they get to know that Aliyah was no longer living in the mansion. Ever since that incident the relationship between Aliyah and Kylie worsened, Kylie hated Aliyah even more she saw Aliyah as her worst enemy.

"Fine I know that we aren't friends and that we don't really get along but I think that is all a misunderstanding. I was thinking that since we are married now we can put all of this aside and try to make something out of this," he spoke.

Now it was Aliyah's turn to laugh, she broke into waves of laughter. The expression on Marion's face was enough to fool anyone but not her. She knew Marion, she was never going to fall into his trap. She wondered what he had in mind? 'Maybe he had a scheme fully planned out to make her part of the numerous girls he said were willing to do anything to be with him but she was never going to be a part of that gang.'

"Really? Do I look stupid to you? You have the right to think whatever you want to think but one thing that will never happen is me believing your words Marion not after everything you have done. Remember when you told your runaway bride that I have feelings for you and because of that I almost became homeless!" Aliyah fumed glaring at him.

Thinking about that incident was bringing bad memories which she wanted to be buried forever.

"What are you talking about?" Aliyah's words drew a blank stare from Marion.

Aliyah scoffed, "Really dude? Are you going to play a game of pretence with me acting like you do not have an idea of what I am talking about? I'm no fool Marion Brews."

"Alie I truly do not know what you are talking about. I have never in my existence told Kylie that you have feelings for me or anything of that sort, it was Kylie who had said on several occasions that you liked me and were trying to win my heart, " Marion tone was calm as he spoke. For the first time after hearing Marion speak Aliyah wanted to believe his words. The expressions on his face made her feel like he was being honest but when she remembered how crafty and cunny Marion was she scolded herself not to believe his lies.

"You don't expect me to believe that do you?" Aliyah squinted.

He shrugged, "It's fine if you don't believe me because you never do and you think I'm a really bad person."

"Well, aren't you? You are not a saint. I'm pretty sure my cousin realised that no wonder she decided to elope with her lover. And we all thought you both were in love."

"What lover? What are you talking about?" he inquired with raised brows.

"I don't get you. I'm pretty sure you are aware Kylie eloped."

"Yes, but the part about the lover is new to me." his chin jutted out.

Shoot! Aliyah bit on her lower lips when she figured out that her aunt didn't tell Marion that part. She must have hidden it from Marion and his mom that Kylie eloped with her lover.

"Please can you excuse me, I need to get dressed," Aliyah muttered lifting my head to gaze at Marion. She was done talking about this matter she regretted bringing it up in the first place.

Marion's disappointment was evident from his downturned mouth. Aliyah couldn't blame him, he just found out the lady he was supposed to marry eloped with a lover.

"Can you tell me what you know about this Alie? Please."

Aliyah wondered if it was her imagination or she just saw tears in his eyes.

Aliyah averted her gaze from him. She didn't want to feel pity for Marion or make him think that she gave a damn about him.

"I know nothing even if I did I won't say a word to you. Whatever happens to you is none of my business. Turns out not every lady wants you after all, even your beloved Kylie rejected you," Aliyah mocked and regretted it immediately.

"Right," he nodded before sauntering out of the room.

Aliyah felt that she was really insensitive with her words, she shouldn't have said that to him. They weren't friends but it didn't mean I had to be inhumane, she was not that kind of person.

Aliyah took a sharp breath and facepalmed. Thinking about this she couldn't help but think about where Marion was headed, she just hoped he wasn't going to confront her aunt. She could get into trouble big time for being a blabbermouth.

Aliyah got dressed and began to pace around the bed before the beautiful stars peeking from the sky caught her eyes from the transparent window.

"Stars are light up in the sky shine so bright, beauty of nature," Aliyah smiled reminiscing the words of her mother. Her mother always said that to her whenever they gazed at the sky together.

Aliyah wiped the tears that rolled down my cheeks before walking to the couch and plopping on it. That was one of the reasons why she always avoided gazing at the sky it always made her cry when she reminisced about all the lovely moments with her mom.

"Yes, come in," Aliyah responded as soon as she heard a knock on the door.

The door screeched open and a woman walked in with a tray. Aliyah figured she was one of the maids in the house since she had their uniform on, a blue gown with black capes.

"Good evening ma'am Aliyah. Mr Marion asked me to bring you your food." She muttered bowing slightly and then placing the tray on the table.

Remorse washed through her as she recalled my words to Marion earlier before he left. She expected him to bemad at her and not ask the maid to bring her food. This side of Marion was really giving her the creeps, the Marion sjw knew didn't give a fuck about her. What changed?

"Ma'am is there anything else you would like?" The maid asked when she veered around to face Aliyah.

"Please where is Marion?" Aliyah inquired.

"He just got back, he is at the poolside," she answered.

"Ok. Thank you, that will be all, " Aliyah mouthed. The maid nodded, she bowed her head before walking out of the room.
