When the nurse finally left the room, I was in sheer shock. Nolan slumped on the floor. I kept replaying her words over and over in my head.

This didn’t make any sense.

I always took the pill when Nolan and I got intimate; how on earth did this happen?

I pulled my hair, hoping that the pain would remind me that this was just a mere dream and nothing more.
