Aryyah shook him gently as she called his name. Are you having a nightmare or some kind of dreams? She asked Jackson who opened his eyes slowly. He raised his head and stood up sharply, checked the time and ran to the shower without a response. Gosh! It's late already.
Aryyah heard the shower running and got dressed too. She went downstairs and saw the table already set for breakfast. Good morning Mrs Petersons, Lucas the chef greeted smiling. Good morning, Aryyah responded. She sat down to eat some bread, Omelette and tea.
Jackson rushed down the stairs, sat at the table to have breakfast too. Good morning Boss, Lucas greeted. Good morning, he responded. Aryyah stared at him whether to greet him or not.
Finally, she greeted good morning dear. good morning, Jackson responded with a straight face. He munched some slices of bread hastily, gulped down some tea, got up and adjusted his suit. He kissed Aryyah on the cheeks and left the house in a hurry.
Good morning Boss, Raymond the driver said as he opened the door of the rolls Royce. He closed the door as Jackson got in, he quickly turned around to set the car in motion. soon, they arrived at the office.
Good morning sir, Claire the secretary greeted him while smiling in a flirtatious manner. Jackson understands the look, he responded with a straight face immediately. 'Get the files into my office immediately'. He said.
Ok sir, Claire said in a seductive manner. She adjusted her blouse and pushed her breasts upwards before she took the files to his office afterwards. Here are the files sir, she said. You have a scheduled meeting with the K.As She added.
Jackson buried his head in the files, he lowered the files a little and saw Claire shake her shoulders slowly so her breasts could shake seductively. She looked at Jackson and pouted her lips then rolled her tongue around her lips. She blew him a kiss in the air gesticulating with her right hand.
Aryyah arrived in the company, James her driver drove her carefully this morning as she had instructed him. She had excused him from driving her home the other day it rained. She had followed Jackson behind in her own rolls Royce, the exact model Jackson gifted her on their wedding day.
She got to the reception and met no one so she went straight to her office. She picked up a file and headed for Jackson's office. She opened the door quietly and the file fell off her hands. She bent down to pick the scattered papers that Johnson was supposed to sign. Hmmmm hmmm! She cleared her throat loudly seeing the state Jackson and Claire were.
Jackson had stood facing Claire, he knew exactly what she wanted, to have him on her lap and be sexually devoured by him but he is not that kind of man. He is more disciplined than to mess around with anyone in or outside the company because he has an image to protect and the family circle must not be broken by a strange woman.
I understand you are new in this company, your work attitude and personal etiquette will determine your stay in this company. Is this how you go around seeking bed warmers to warm your laps on the office tables? What you are thinking in your head or mind can never happen between us. Do you understand? You are a pretty lady and a smart one too but I don't mess around. Please, look else where. I don't do office sex as you presumed by offering me your body freely. No real and unique lady would do that. He said.
Claire couldn't move, she kept looking into his eyes mesmerized by his soft pink lips as he spoke. She had imagined more than what he is saying now. In her mind, she is married to him and she even bears Mrs Claire Petersons in her dreams.
Excuse me Ms. Claire? What's happening here? Jackson? The door knob turned sharply and a lady walked in and moves straight to Jackson's table. She sat partially on the table on one leg and the other leg on the tiled floor.
Mrs Petersons, what are you doing here? Aryyah's ears twitched, she turned to Jackson. Who's she? Aryyah asked. Claire straightened her skirt, 'excuse me, she said as she walked to the door and went back to the reception ashamed of herself. I have never been this humiliated by any man in my life. I have always been irresistible! I promise you that you will surely fall into my golden laps. I promise'.she fussed silently.
You heard him right! I am Mrs Petersons. Judy said as she faced Aryyah and who are you? She asked. I am Ar... She's Mrs Petersons! She's my wife. Jackson said smiling. Darling, he pulled Aryyah close. Meet Judy Petersons, my cousin's wife. Jackson said.
Nice meeting you Judy Petersons, Aryyah smiled extended her right hand for a hand shake. Judy ignored her and turned to Jackson ' Can I have a few minutes with you? Aryyah dropped her hand and knew immediately that she didn't like her. Well, Arryah is not a stranger so you can say whatever you want to say right away. Jackson said. Aryyah clears her throat. I'll come back later. She said and walked out of his office.
She walked past the reception, Excuse me? Claire said as she walked up to her. 'Don't ever think you can change my game here or play smart because I'm not going to let you win. You met me in this game you are trying to play with me by trying to take over what does not rightfully belong to you. You God forsaking, miserable, husband snatcher. You are such a pretender! You met me in this office, I was the one who booked your interview and you dare come to change the dice I have been tossing for nine months into your own direction? You snitch!'
Aryyah became stunned, speechless and shocked but she comported herself and simply walked away. I can't begin to exchange words with a shallow mind filled with inferiority complex as this! I am too sophisticated for all that. She says to herself.
She came into her office, opened it and locked the door behind her. She took a deep breath as she sat on the chair. What a dramatic morning! She exclaimed.
Why is everything happening at the same time? She soliloquizes. Jackson, Claire, Judy.... What? I mean what? There is something I don't understand, why is everything centered around him? Who exactly is Jackson? Oops! I married a non familiar stranger actually. She thought for a while, ok, I see and now I understand why Claire had always showed some kind of attitudes towards her.
She stood up to go pick the file she left in Jackson's office as she needs to attend to it urgently. as she approached the door and over heard his conversation with Judy. 'See, Jackson, don't be hard on yourself. He has other women frolicking around him, he doesn't even care about our contract. He has refused to pay me for two months now and I'm getting tired. Judy said. 'How much is the total amount of the two months'? Jackson asked. '$50,000 only' She answered.
Aryyah peeped through the key hole, Jackson bought out a cheque slip, he signed it and handed it over to Judy. She collected the cheque put it in her bag, stood up and smiled, its nice doing business with your family'.
I can as well do a good business with you if you don't mind, you seem to be a good and loving man. You will be a very good bed warmer too. I'd like to set you on fire and take you to the moon and back someday but pretty soon. She said and walked towards the door, she opened it and met Aryyah at the door. She paused to took a look at Aryyah before hissing and walked away majestically.
Aryyah horridly walked to the table, took the file and ran out of the office. she couldn't control what she had experienced that morning. The whole thing keeps getting complicated. Jackson called her back but she didn't respond. She began to wish the rain would fall right now and wash off the tears welling up in her blue eyes and the humiliation she really felt.
She told herself, I will not cry anymore, great people don't cry, they convert the tears to testimonies but then, the welled up tears in those blue eyes began to flow uncontrollably. She suddenly stopped crying and wiped her tears with the back of her hands. ' I will definitely change this whole game you all are playing. I am not only the game changer, I am the entire game itself'.
She said and paused for some minutes and continued her work for the day like nothing had happened.
