It was time for K.As meeting. The time is 2.00 pm. Aryyah concluded on giving a final cross check on her project slides on her laptop. She must give her best to this presentation because so much is expected of her as the new appointed SGM of Petersons International.

In Jackson's office, files were scattered on the table. He had just finished making some international calls, he was tired already due to the dramatic morning he had. He thought about Aryyah and knew he had some explanations to make.

He knew there are questions that needed to be answered, they both had gotten married within a very short time as the family circle had demanded he finds a good woman to marry quickly in order to preserve the family inheritance because delay is consequential.

Aryyah will be feeling betrayed right now. He thought about last night, his dreams and today's drama. He frowned a little, rubbed his hands over his head and his face. 'Aryyah is all that really matters now' he whispered.

Jackson? Aryyah came knocking softly on the door. She opened gently and stepped in quietly. Her face lit up and looked bright like nothing actually happened. It's time for the meeting with the K.As. I'll be on my way now. She said.

Jackson kept starring into the air unaware Aryyah was right there. Jackson? She called and tapped the table. Jackson blinked his eyes and shook his head. 'I'm so sorry, I didn't know you are here' He said. Aryyah repeated herself and turned to leave. Wait for me! We'll go in my car, He ordered. I'll like to go alone, we'll meet there. She responded. I just said we'll go together and that's final. He ordered again.

Jackson stood on his feet and came to stand facing Aryyah directly. 'I know you feel disappointed somehow about me kind of but I have a confession to make'. He said. This is not the right time, Jackson, time is running and we'll be late if we do not hurry. She told him. OK if you say so, He said. Aryyah walked out of his office. I'll wait for you, she said.

'Sweetheart please, let me'. He said. Let you what? she asked. Jackson bent a little and kissed her lips. She stood still and didn't know whether to push him or let him. Anger rushed over her but she stood still starring at his face, he closed his eyes and ran his hands over her body.

Claire knocked, come in, Jackson said. She came in and felt ashamed when she saw Jackson holding Aryyah. Here are the files sir, the slides are ready too and I already sent them to your email. Thank you Claire. He said and kissed Aryyah again. I love you my diamond. Jackson said. I love you too sweetheart. Aryyah said and smiled. Claire walked away feeling jealous and defeated at the same time.

In her office, she was filled with fury within her. How can that little ant come to steal my shine and chance? How could she snatch from me what belongs to me? god damn it! I need to teach this girl a lesson she won't live to forget. She bit the finger in defeat, sadness, determination and anger.

Thirty minutes later, Jackson and Aryyah were already in his own rolls Royce on their way to the K.As. Both of them didn't speak to each other. They were both lost in their own world and also trying to stay emotionally stable and mentally prepared for the meeting. Raymond kept looking at them both through the mirror but remained silence too.

Who would have thought he could get such a highly paid job after he had lost his job five years ago? He felt fulfilled and grateful to Jackson and that's why he will continue to mind his own business without interfering in other people's lives and will also remain loyal to him.

In few minutes, they were already in K.As. Don't get intimidated by anyone, don't feel timid to express yourself accurately during your presentation. Remember this is your first meeting with the K.As as the senior member representing Petersons International and whatever you do here will determine the fate, pace and place of the company in the world's leadership list.

My family looks up to me and I also believe in you, Aryyah. Please, do not fail the Petersons. I understand. Aryyah said as she stepped down from the rolls Royce. Jackson also stepped down from the other side too while Raymond sat back in the car.

While the meeting and presentation was going on inside K.As, Raymond began to reflect on his past and the few lessons life has taught him.

He grew up in polygamous home filled with hatred, discord, bloody fights and all of that. His father married ten wives and each of the wives gave birth to at least four children. There are other concubines who at one point or another came to drop some children claiming his father owns them. His own mother was the first wife, after having so many baby mamas and other children outside wedlock, his father absconded with a very young girl who was just fifteen years old then.

When the younger wives could not cope with the responsibility of the children, they would dumped their children and run away. His father had build a very little house on a family land. He was a dealer of timber and wood and was very rich at that time, the reason for his frolicking with different caliber of women. Those who stayed built bamboo houses on the family land so they could have a place to lay their heads with their own children.

After some years, they were told that his father had been used for money ritual by the young girl he absconded with. His father's corpse was brought back home at the middle of the night with his body headless and other vital organs in his body were harvested. Growing up was really a sad memory which he hates to remember, life had thrown him down many times, yet Raymond refused to give up.

He already made up his mind that none of his children will drop out of school or have bad childhood memories like his, hence his passion, determination and focus on his job so he would not fail as a father like his own father. His own mother could not afford to send him to school so he had dropped at lower grade. He is working tirelessly to build the future he never had got for his own children.

He began to wonder why Aryyah and Jackson never spoke to each other on their way to the K.As. He was not aware of what happened in the office earlier today. He had sat at the staff corner watching the pictures of 'The Moon' newspaper because he could not read. He was able to learn how to speak fluently when he was a school bus driver.

Aryyah was the last to give her presentation at K.As. At first, she was nervous and got curious as all eyes were on her but she decided to remain calm and stay focused so she could deliver and she did deliver excellently well.

The overall boss Dr. Hema after seeing Aryyah's presentation slides decided to postpone the meeting saying the company will like to do her underground check and would also like to see the original versions of the company's designs. Jackson felt a bit disappointed and knew that their chance to be listed as number one had just been dwindled.

Aryyah being an intelligent young lady had brought her original designs with her unknown to Jackson and presented them also when chaos arose among the judges in the meeting room questioning the originality of their designs.

At then end of her presentations, silence returned to the room after a while, the judges put their heads together and converse in low tones. Then Dr. Hema spoke aloud ' thank you everyone present at the presentation today. Then he began to cough softly, 'hmmmm hmmmm' and then loudly. He coughed uncontrollably and threw the whole room into chaos, confusion and panic.

Aryyah and Jackson glanced at each other for a moment, Aryyah shifted on her chair and adjusted her suit jacket. It was one of those wears he had ordered for her before their wedding. Now, they both do not know what fate holds for them at the K.As.
