Aryyah was presenting Q2 projections to the board on a Thursday afternoon, seven and a half months into her pregnancy, when she felt the first sharp contraction that made her grip the edge of the conference table for support.

"Mrs. Petersons, are you alright?" Marcus the CFO asked, noticing her sudden pallor.
