"I thought there were no hunters on the island," she said to Mary.  

"When Kael the Conqueror found the Isle, it was already inhabited. The hunters lived here, Kael and his allies defeated and killed them all, or so we thought. Noah always said the island was too big for none of them to have survived. Apparently, he was right."
