By the time I get done training with Kai and I get done taking a shower, Lux is sitting in our room. She sits on the bed as she waits for me to speak. I sigh and ask, "How are you doing, sunshine?"

She asks in a soft voice, just a smidge louder than a whisper, "Are you still mad at me?"

I look at her and watch as she lifts her hand up to wipe her face. Guilt rushes through me as I realize how much I must've upset her.
