Rowen was sleeping when he was awakened by a loud noise after a restless sleep.

The door of the infirmary was pushed open, and before Rowen could open his eyes, he smelled blood.

He rose nimbly, without any hindrance, took his gun from the pocket of his hanging white coat, loaded it, and darted to the side of the door.

Before he could make another move, the familiar voice outside said, "Rowen, it's me."
