The first thing that I became aware of was the fact that I couldn’t move. My limbs felt heavy and it was dark. I was vaguely aware of a warm voice that seemed far away, calling to me and trying to bring me back to consciousness.

I was floating in darkness but I felt strangely at peace. There was no pain here like I had been experiencing over the last several hours.
