This guy's been following me around school. He’s weird. I think he's stalking me or something.” She sent and attached a photo.
They all looked at each other and didn't say a word. They replied to her earlier and now neither of them decided to say a word.
“Why won't you guys say something? He's really staring at me and acting creepy.” Jennifer sent another text. Her heart racing fast. Her eyes kept moving from her phone to Daniel. What was he up to? She threw her phone in her bag and walked out of the cafeteria.
“Where’s the best sister in the world going? Your brothers are hot, Jennifer. Can I meet them?” Evie, her roommate, appeared out of nowhere, clapping her hands and giggling.
Jennifer chuckled nervously, “I'm sorry, Evie. But I have to go.”
And she was out of sight. She stopped a cab but couldn't get into it. Her phone dropped, and beeped.
“Don't take the cab. I'll be there soon.” Axel sent a text. She looked at the Cab man and smiled lightly, moving away from the cab. He realized she was no longer going and drove off.
Anxious, she kept waiting and shaking. After five minutes, Axel showed up and pulled his sleeve. “Hop on.” He said, grabbing her bag.
The last time she rode on Axel's motorcycle was when she was nine.
“Let's go for a drive. Nobody will see us.” He had said.
And they were having a drive again. She placed her hands round his waist as he rode. They finally got back to the house. Blaze and Jace were standing guard at the door, more like they were waiting for them.
She ran off and hugged Blaze but he pulled her hands off immediately.
“Get inside your room now.” He commanded. She thought it was strange, neither of them responded and only thought to come pick her up.
“None of you responded to my message in the group. Is there something I should know? Am I being followed?” She questioned.
Jace pulled her away, knowing she Blaze is a ticking time bomb in situations like this.
“Come on now. Go to your room and change. There's food in the—”
“No! Tell me what's going on.” She cut in.
Jace stood still, and Blaze wasn't even listening to her. “Axel?” She called, “Please tell me if I'm being followed.”
“No one's following you, Red.” Jace interrupted, “Just go to your room.”
“What is wrong with all of you!?” She snapped. She saw the way Daniel looked at her, she had a bad feeling and her so called brothers were hiding things from her?
How could she be calm?
Blaze stood up, pulled her close and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear.
“Listen, Doll. No one, and I mean not a single soul has the audacity to stalk you. You're fine and we're here, remember? There's nothing to be scared of. Just go into your room and rest.”
Jennifer sighed and ran upstairs, slamming the door. “They still love me, don't they?” She murmured, pushing her bag one side and grabbed the headset Axel got for her.
Axel walked in and kept his eyes on her. “What do you want, Axel?” She asked.
“You just need to understand, Mouse. We're your step brothers and we need to protect you. Three for one, remember?” He said, grabbing the headset from her hands. She folded her arms, pretending not to see him or hear him talking.
“I'll set your playlist for you.” He smiled and watched her grumble.
Axel placed the headset on his hands, trying to set her playlist. He froze, and let out a chuckle.
“What's funny, Axel?” Jennifer asked. Her rage fit her cute face.
“I didn't know little mice listen to things like this. Guess you aren't our cute innocent Jennifer anymore.”
“What do you mean?” She asked, trying to grab the headset. She didn't realize what he was talking about until—
“Oh my God! Axel, give that back!” She yelled. Axel stood up, running round the room. Jennifer ran after him, and they started a child's play.
“Come on, Axel. Blaze shouldn't know I listen to that.” She said,
“What shouldn't I know?” Blaze asked, stepping in.
“Fuck!” She cursed under her breath. Axel hid the headset right by his back and gently tried to hand it over to Jennifer.
“Give it!” Blaze grabbed it. Jace stood still watching things unfold.
What would Blaze think of her if he heard that?
“Please don't listen to that.” She pleaded.
“Why? What's in there?” He asked, his hands pulling up to his ear.
“Wow.” He exclaimed, his expression unreadable.
Jennifer covered her face in horror. Jace, who stood behind, was interested now.
He took the headset from Blaze and….
Muffled sounds, Moans, such…such tension grabbed his attention.
“This is interesting.” He commented and they all gathered round her.
She took her hands off her face, expecting to get a scolding but they all gathered round her.
“What? I'm old enough to listen to that. And this is my privacy!” She mumbled.
They all looked at each other,
“Sit.” Blaze said.
“I'm in for it!” She thought to herself and gently sat at the edge of the bed. Blaze sat right next to her, his eyes hitting her legs covered with the jean she wore.
“I thought I asked you to change earlier.” He said, rubbing her hair.
“Red, tell me who you fantasize about when you listen to that.” Jace moved closer. Axel followed. Jennifer stiffened.
The room was hosting a tense party, Jennifer's legs wobbled.
What were they doing? Her heart raced, each of their smells hit her at once as they got even closer. She looked up to find her diary in Axel's hands.
“Since you didn't give an answer, I figured I'd look it up myself.”
“Axel… I didn't mean to—”
“No, you didn't.” Blaze grabbed her head. Their eyes locked onto each other and without a long talk, their lips met.
