"I think this is enough" I muttered, stared at the mirror across and took in the view of my dress.
It was a long off shoulder gown, revealing my collarbone and neckline, forming this beautiful sweetheart shape.
The top was well fitted too, hugging all the right places, And below the waist was a cute slit that opened up to my thighs, revealing my soft-milky skin.
I looked again towards the mirror and gave a satisfied nod at what I saw. Gently, I grabbed my head band, letting down my long hair.
If there’s anything I truly admire about myself, it’s my soft, smooth hair. Its fullness could fill a large hand, and its silky shine could turn heads.
"Although I know a little about my late mom, from the picture my father showed me, I can proudly say I got that from her.”
After putting on the right jewelry, I grabbed my bag and stepped out of the room hoping this date won't drench the remaining strength out of me.
I got into my car and zoomed off with mixed feelings.. Part of me felt guilty for doing this behind my boyfriend's back, but the other part reminded me that I was only helping my best friend.”
"well, this is just a date. And believe me, after tonight, nothing else." I mumbled easing the tension going through my heart.
Not long, A song by Popi, Shaly, came on the radio and I sang and danced along, shunning of the guilt till I reached my destination.
The five star hotel was something of magnitude. One of the finest structures to ever behold. Very tall, glassy, and polished so well. Right at the top of the entrance was the company's name boldly written in golden color.
Vinex Hotel is one of the most talked-about hotels in town. Although I hadn't visited the other top hotels, yet I was sure this right here, beat them all.
I stepped in and marveled at the beauty inside
The floors were clean and made of glasses and up the ceiling were chandelier light, giving this warm and rich glow. Of course the air can never smell bad. Very fresh like a mix of vanillas and something sweet I couldn't name.
The walls too were so smooth, endowed in soft cream gold. Besides them stood green plants, sitting inside polish pots.
I stepped on the long red carpet that leads to the restaurant and damn! the inside looked even more luxurious, complete with gentle, soothing music that plays in the background.
"Everywhere screams so much peace." I smiled walking towards a young man at a table who turned out to be the only one here.
A few more steps from me, I got to this man and my God! Words can't describe what I saw.
Tall, handsome, and just the perfect amount of masculine charm.
He looked like a real-life model.
His hair was light brown, kissed with a hint of auburn, cropped short at the side, with a longer strands at the top looking a little bit messy like he ran his fingers through it.
And his body; oh heavens.
He’s thick and strong in the dreamiest way, with a broad chest and arms that fill out his white shirt and dark jeans trousers.
The upper two buttons of the shirt were left undone, revealing a glimpse of his collarbone and a silver shiny pendant that rested gently on his neck.
And That husky frame? It’s lot of temptations. My eyes lingered a bit too long, and I swear my mouth watered before I could stop it.
For once I had to look away and remind myself I had a boyfriend.
like he noticed my presence, he lifted up his face away from his phone and gave me that strong solid look that made my heart skipped a bit.
"You bitch, you made me wait for fifteen fucking minutes, are you insane!" He snapped, catching me off guard with his sudden outburst.
Did he just curse me? I took a step back and gawked at him. With the way he appeared so cute and smart, no one would ever thought such words could roll off his tongue.
I took a breath and reminded myself again; I was only doing this because Kate begged me to.
"I'm sorry dear. I'm so sorry. My boss delayed me a little at work so..."
"You better close that crap mouth of yours and have a seat. That's one thing with you women, talking, talking...."
What! "I'm not your problem. With all due respect sir, whatever you're going through, I'm not the problem. So you better be mindful of your words" I snapped.
He let out a mocking luaghter, clapped slowly and stood up. "Seems you don't know who you're dealing with" he muttered but only gained a smirk from me.
"And who are you? President of United States? You know what, I don't care who you are. And I don't even want to know. Just learn how to talk to people. That..."
"And if I don't?" he cut me off "If I decided not to learn what will you do?" He came closer with a folded arms, dearing me to do my worst.
"I might not do any silly things but I'm sure I will teach you. I Jewel Nathan will make you give me the respect I deserve. Try me!" I warned with a heavy, deadly glare.
Although, he looked so unmoved, I was sure these particular words got him.
"OK then, let's see." He spoke calmly. "Just sit please, we can't keep going on with this fight." He pleaded calming a little bit of my nerves. I took some breath and gently sat at the seat he was gesturing at.
"I already ordered some food before you came. Maybe after eating we go to one of the rooms and have some fun", he smiled, showing off his designer gold.
Despite the fact that his smile made some heat drop into my belly, I still had to stay composed to avoid boosting his ego.
"Uhm... please, what kind of fun are you talking about?" I smiled back, but his sudden outburst got me curious again.
"What do you mean by that question? Are you a kid? "You don't expect me to spend such a huge amount of money, booking off this place and not have a taste of that soft pink pussy of yours, under your skirt...."
"What the hell, are you losing it? Of course, you definitely just ran out of the psychiatrist's home before walking up here", I yelled, banging harder on the table.
Now listen, mad man! I blamed myself for coming here in the first place. "Clearly, you son of a bitch isn't even worthy of cleaning my shoes, not talking about sitting on a date with me." He widened his eyes, and just when he was about to speak, I cut him off.
"You know what? I pity your future wife and the unlucky girls who find their way into your worthless life. Because people like you deserve to die alone and miserable. Bastard!" I cursed, picked up my bag, and walked out in anger.
Without wasting another second, I got into my car and zoomed off… Rushing home to video call Kate and tell her the kind of insult she dragged me into today.
