Avery's words won't leave my head.

"He's starting to believe her act."

I can't lie here anymore. Can't watch while Rachel wraps Alexander around her finger.

I call Avery. Then Harper. I talk to Theodore quietly.

"We need to watch Rachel," I tell them. "Everything she does. Everyone she talks to."

Avery nods. "I'm on it."
