I sit on the bleachers alone, legs swinging above the ground.

A baby sister.

The thought makes my chest feel warm and tight at the same time. I picture her—small, fragile, needing protection. Like Theodore, but even more delicate.

'I'll keep her safe,' I think, hands curling into fists on my lap. 'I'll watch over her every day. No one will hurt her.'
