Mason's POV

We burst through the clinic entrance. My chest heaves. My legs burn.

The first thing I see is Alexander.

He's pounding on a door. Both fists. Over and over.

"Brittany! Open the door!"

Nothing. No response. Just silence.

"Please! I need to explain!"

Still nothing. The door stays closed.

"Damn it!" He slams his fist harder. "Someone open this door!"
