Nora's POV

I step out of Brittany's room. Close the door softly behind me.

Mason is waiting in the hallway. He looks tense. Wound tight.

"Come on," I say. Take his hand. "Let's get some air."

"But Brittany—"

"Needs rest. Not us hovering." I tug him toward the exit. "Alexander will be back soon with Joy. Right now, you need to breathe."

We walk outside. The night air is cool. Clear.
