Everything finally stills. Settles.

We're collapsed on the floor. Tangled together. Spent.

The blankets beneath us soaked with sweat. Warm. Damp.

Alexander holds me tight. Arms wrapped around me like he'll never let go.

His head buried in the curve of my neck. Not moving. Just holding on.
