The next morning, Brittany's side of the bed is empty. Cold.

I check Theodore's bed. Also empty.

I search the house. Kitchen. Living room. Nothing.

Avery appears in the hallway. Carrying sheets.

"Where is she?"

"Guest room. East wing. She asked to move."

I head there. Find the door closed.
