Chapter 4

Emma pov

“Father, I care for him deeply, can't you tell?” I walked around the living room, unable to stop my tears as I glanced at my phone to look at the invitation sent to me by alpha Tyler Ronan, my very own alpha Tyler Ronan. He is marrying the same omega he caught just days ago?

“Ah!” I yelled, dashed to the couch, and threw myself onto it, tears already clouding my sight. My father didn't say a word as he focused on the magazine in his hands, sitting in his favorite armchair.

“Emma, alpha Tyler is merely a business partner and a friend, he is not your mate. He has found his mate and wants to be with her. What is so hard for you to grasp?” He asked, looking at me over his glasses. I curled up on the couch, crying quietly.

“But I loved him.” I whispered, my voice breaking.

"He isn't yours." That confrontation shattered me, but then an idea sparked in my mind. I rose from the couch and sat up straight, clutching the throw pillow. I cleared my throat to catch my father's attention, my eyes shining with understanding.

“What if I claim him for myself? What if I make him desire me instead?” I pondered these random thoughts, smiling and enjoying my ideas because I was determined to win over Tyler Ronan.

I am quite certain that the lady won't see what's coming, and alpha Tyler won't even realize what has hit him when I finally execute this plan and it succeeds for me. I let go of the throw pillow and stood up, shaking my hair, which flared out.

“Emma, don't do anything silly because Tyler isn't just anyone; he is more dangerous than you think.” My father cautioned, taking off his glasses, fully aware that I often get into trouble.

I walked confidently to sit down, my heels clicking on the floor, one after another, as I gently tucked a strand of hair behind my ear while settling on the arm of the chair.

“Father, trust me, I won't do anything to jeopardize your relationship with Tyler; I just want to ensure he has the best mating ceremony ever.” I leaned in close to his ear.

“Don't you trust me?” I whispered coldly, leaning back with a menacing giggle.

My heels clicked purposefully as I walked. Tyler Ronan is my Alpha and my obsession.

I burst into my room and shut the door hard behind me, leaning against it for a moment, my chest heaving with quick, shallow breaths.

He’s going to marry her? That thing? That miserable little omega he discovered crawling in the dirt?

No. Not while I’m here.

I grabbed my phone from the vanity and pressed the screen with a shaking finger. My tears had dried up. All that was left was determination.

I scrolled through my contacts until I saw the name.

Muhammad.

I tapped it.

That dude knows his job, so I would choose him for this job, that stupid Omega lady won't have my own Tyler while I sit and watch.

The line rang once, Twice, it was still ringing the third time when he picked up.

“Emma?” His voice was low, cautious. Like he already knew I was about to do something illegal, Or stupid, Or both.

“Listen carefully, I don't want excuses, this is an important job,” I said, my voice calm, but my words slicing like ice. “I need a truck, A black one, No plates, no tracking Id, if you're caught through tracking Id, then you face the consequences because I warned you.”

There was silence on the other end. I could hear him breathing,Thinking. The last job he did was too tough because it was outside phoenix, guess he wasn't expecting another job in the long run.

“There’s a mating ceremony happening at the Shadowclaw packhouse tomorrow. You know who’s mating, right?”

Another pause.

“You mean Alpha Tyler Ronan?”

I gritted my teeth. “Yes. He’s making a mistake and I plan to fix it, don't ask me how I want to fix it and what makes me feel I can fix it.”

His silence dragged, which irritated me. “Muhammad, I swear, if you let me down..”

“I won’t,” he cut in sharply. “Just tell me what you want.”

“I want the omega.” My words were pure venom now. “I want her gone, not dead, damnit, no. I’m not a savage. But out of the picture, Kidnapped, Hidden, Disappears her for a while, long enough to make Tyler question everything.”

He exhaled. “You’re serious.”

"Emma, this isn't just a business partner you can confront easily. We're discussing the powerful and ruthless Tyler Ronan, the alpha who shows no mercy. Do you understand what you're getting into?" He asked, his voice trembling. I could hear the fear in his tone.

“I don’t call for jokes, Muhammad.” I looked out the window, the moonlight brushing over my skin. I could see the Shadowclaw lands from here. I could almost feel him. “This is important to me. I don’t want disappointment. Not from you.”

"I will take care of it," he stated. "Please send me the schedule, dress code, and timing. I will blend the team without any errors, and remember to send a picture so I can recognize her correctly.”

I nodded to myself and then whispered, “Perfect, make sure you don't fail me” and just like that, I ended the call.

I sat there for a moment, still staring at my phone and also my reflection in the mirror, it looks different now. No smiles, just a rare satisfaction of an incoming mystery. Power looked good on me.

A sly smile tugged at the corner of my lips as I dialed another number, my designer.

“Francesca!” I sang the moment she answered. “Darling, I need something… spectacular, when I mean spectacular, you know exactly what Emma Luis wants.”

She laughed. “ Yes, I do. For?”

“For tomorrow night. A ball dress. Think blood-red silk, dramatic slit, neckline low enough to choke a priest, it wants to look breathtaking, the media should use my dress as their front page in the fashion magazine.”

There was a pause. “Emma, is this for..?”

“Yes,” I interrupted, twirling a lock of my hair around my finger. “At Alpha Tyler’s ceremony, he’s expecting a show, I’m going to give him one.”

“Done. I’ll have it delivered by morning, don't disappoint me.”

“Make it fit like warpaint.” I hung up before she could respond.

I stared into the mirror again. Then slowly stood and walked toward my closet. Opened it, dragged my fingers along the designer gowns and shoes stacked perfectly by color and purpose.

But nothing compared to the dress I’d wear tomorrow, tomorrow, I wouldn’t just be another woman in the room.

I’d be the woman.

The one they’d all whisper about, the one Tyler would see.

That omega, what’s her face?I wouldn’t even get a chance to scream before Muhammad’s team had her loaded up. Out of sight, out of Tyler’s heart.

I sat down at my vanity, took my hair brush from the table and started running it through my hair slowly, deliberately, like a queen preparing for battle. My lashes were still wet from tears, but the sparkle in my eyes.

That wasn’t sadness anymore, It was fire.

That girl thinks she’s special because Tyler marked her?

Please.

Tyler marks anything that bleeds submissive. That doesn’t mean she’s worthy of being Luna.

I was bred for this. I know how to walk into a room and make kings drop to their knees. I’ve done it before. Tyler will be no different.

He just needed a little… guidance.

I slid off the vanity chair and strutted back to the window. The wind blew gently through the slightly open glass, brushing my cheeks with a chill.

Perfect weather for a storm.

I imagined it, her being dragged out of the ceremony, confusion on her face, maybe even fear. And me?

Me, already standing beside Tyler, offering a handkerchief, a shoulder for him to lean on, a smile of satisfaction.

He’d look at me then, Really look, and once that happens?

There’s no going back.

My fingers danced over the edge of the window frame. I leaned out just a bit, whispering into the night like I was talking to fate itself.

“Tomorrow is mine,” I said, and the wind carried it away.

Then I turned, humming as I walked to my bed, phone still in hand.

Everything was set.

And by tomorrow morning the press will declare a missing omega… the king is mine and I won't lose him to anyone else...

I laughed out loud, my voice echoed through the walls of my room.

“Only kings roll with kings, let all drums roll in my favor.”
