Leigh heard the thumping on the door. Her first thought was to reach for her knitting. Her second thought was she wasn't in her own bed. She tried to figure out where she was.

"Leigh, Leigh." Fran's voice came through the door. She remembered everything; the children attacking, Marie bleeding, Jim missing. She thought for a moment it would have been better if the children had killed her.

"Leigh, please," Fran said, "Wake up."

"I'm awake," Leigh left her wish ...
