I walked into my room while Irina went to make sure that her loyal pet was in her room .

Few minutes later Irina walked into my room , saying “ you better have a valid reason for hanging out with that bitch” she said in a stern tone.

“Before I tell you anything, you will have to promise me that you would not tell anyone about this including Alina “

She smiled and said “you do not have to worry , I will not tell a soul “.

“I am serious, you would not tell a soul “

“Ok, if you say so “ . I said even though I was scared that Irina would not keep the secret.

Last weekend when I went to my family estate at zhukovka .I and Irina had lunch with our family.

Lunch with my family was nice , I always enjoy spending time with them . During lunch I was thinking about what it would feel like when I become the pakhan of our mafia family once my grandfather agrees to retire , it has always being my dream .

After lunch my mom and my grandfather asked me to accompany them , I did even though I do not know why they asked me to follow them but it was a privilege.

We got into a black SUV and the driver started driving. The driver was already informed of where we were going but I had no idea where we were headed.

My mom and grandfather kept making calls through out the drive . I guess that is what it feels like being in charge .

After an eternity later we finally got to the location. It was in avtozavodskaya district .

It was an abandoned industrial sight near zil factory . The whole place was quiet.

We got into a old warehouse and all the silence I felt outside disappeared , I could hear screams immediately I realized what was going on.

The warehouse was surrounded by armed well-built men that works for my family .I looked forward and saw two men and a young lady tied to different chairs.

The female looks like someone I could fuck on a normal day but she was being tortured alongside the two men . their clothes were filled with blood and their faces were swollen.

Two of the well-built men brought out three chairs for us to sit .

We sat facing the three people hung upside down. They started begging us to forgive them but my mom and grandfather did not feel sympathy rather they asked the men to punish them more until they confessed. None of them confessed, they just kept begging.

Grandpa asked one of the well-built men to cut off the fingers of the first man one by one until the man confessed, the moment the man saw the bolt cutters he screamed .

The sight of the bolt cutters made the man confess. “We have being spying for the volkov family , to earn double “ the man said with fear filled in his eyes .

Mom signaled one of the men to bring a gun for her . The man loaded the gun and brought it to mom .

Mom held the gun for some seconds before looking at me and said “This is what you have always wanted , take this gun and kill them “

I collected the gun without hesitation and looked at the three people hung upside down, I could see and feel their fear but I don’t care .

I pulled the trigger, shot the first man twice in the middle of his head . I was about to shoot the lady when mom stopped me and said “She would be useful don’t kill her “

I shot the third man without looking at his face. I stood and watch as life leave the body of the men .

Mom signaled two men to untie the woman and take her away .

Few minutes later Some ladies arrive to clean up the blood on the floor while some men took care of the body.

Mom looked at me with a proud smile so I asked “does this mean I’m officially going to join the bratva “

“No , you have to do something for me first then I will retire “ my grandfather tells me with a grin

“I would do anything to become the pakhan grandpa “

“Alexei all you have to do is make the daughter of the volkov family fall madly in love with you , then I will make you the pakhan”.

I tried to remember who the daughter of the volkov family is and why she will fall in love with the son of her family enemy.

“Her name is Tatiana and she also attends MGIMO as you, if you make her fall for you then I would make you the pakhan “ he told me with a stern tone.

“Ok, but why will she fall in love with me when she knows I am from the antonov family “ I asked confused.

We left the warehouse, the moment I got outside I could feel the silence again .

We got into the car and the driver drove back home .

I looked straight into Irina’s eyes “ You see I am not just after a girl, I’m after an empire” .

“ I am happy grandpa is ready to give you what you deserve but why does grandpa wants you to make Tatiana fall for you, is it like a punishment for her family?” .

“I don’t know , can you leave my room now “. I asked her with a serious tone .

“ Fine” she said as she stood up , I thought she was going to walk away but rather she leaned closer and kissed me on my lips, the kiss was soft and gentle but I did not feel the tension and excitement I felt when I almost kissed Tatiana.

I looked at Irina who was already sitting on my lap and trying to unbutton my shirt , I pushed her off and said “ I want to sleep Irina “

“we could sleep together just like when I first got adopted and was scared of sleeping alone “ she tells me with a slutty smile .

“Irina leave , you are no longer a child “ I replied angrily.

Irina walked towards the door so I told her “do not forget to not tell anyone about what I told you “.

“I will not “. She replied , it felt like she was trying to hide her anger .

After Irina left I let out a sigh . I laid on my bed and stared at nothing just thinking of the time I spent with Tatiana.

I remembered how she felt emotional earlier today and I knew I had to find out why she was touched by my words .

I tried to sleep but all I could see and think of were the colour of her eyes , BLUE .

Her eyes were as blue as forgotten oceans.

Tatiana’s POV

We got to our penthouse when I realized that I was still wearing Alexei’s blazer. I guess the blazer was part of the reason Lev got really angry .

I ignored everyone and walked into my room . I did not care about how scattered my room was at the moment, I took off the blazer and sniffed it and It had Alexei scent on it .

I held the blazer tightly as I thought about Alexei and the fact that we almost kissed. Just thinking about It I could feel the same tension I felt when we almost kissed then I stopped myself from thinking about Alexei because he is a womanizer and he must be thinking he can get to have sex with me because I do not see another reason he would try to hangout with me .

I hung his blazer on a coat stand and laid on my bed as my thoughts kept drifting .
