Alpha Darrel pov
After returning from Alpha Baron birthday party I have been confused as I was trying to wrap my head around the name. The moment the little girl mentioned her sister name I got a flash of Edna.
"Why do they have the same name?" I placed my hand on my head tiredly. It has been really draining because I have been thinking about my actions that day and how she was in kicked out of the pack.
Few hours later I sent some men to check the birder and they said she was no longer there. I had to believe that the rogues have take her away, or she found her way around and moved to another pack.
"Why am i bothering myself about her all of a sudden?" I asked myself tiredly when I heard a knock on the door.
The person opened the door and surprisingly it was Lilian. She walked in and served me a cup of coffee.
"Good morning Alpha Darrel." She greeted as she handed the cup of Coffee to me. I stood up from the bed and headed to the couch in my room.
"Lilian, how are you?" I asked her and took a sip of the coffee. I let out a soft smile after tasting it because she always get the taste right. I dropped the cup of coffee and focused my attention on her because there are some questions I was hoping to ask her.
"Have your seat." I said to her and her without hesitating she sat down. I was quite surprised because I was expecting her to hesitate before sitting.
There was a short silence between both of us as I was thinking if how to start the conversation so it doesn't look like I care too much.
"Were you really close to Edna?" I finally spilled the question. Lilian was shocked to hear what I said, it was obvious she didn't expect me to ask such a question.
"We-w-we we're, she was my best friend here." Lillian replied me after stuttering. I know she must be wondering why I was asking her such a question. "Is there a problem?" Lillian asked.
"No, I was only curious to know how your relationship with her is." I replied her. I realized it was stupid of me to ask her the question in the first place so I decided not to ask anymore had let her go.
"Do you regret kicking her out of the pack?" I was shocked to hear the question Lilian asked me. For a maid she was too bold to ask such a question.
"You are excused." I said to her and immediately stood up and walked out of the room. The question she asked me was like a slap on my face because I kind of feel like I regret what I did but it seems really hard for me to accept it.
I picked the cup of coffee and sipped it. "It's cold." I muttered and dropped it back on the table. I couldn't stop remembering the question she asked me before leaving.
"What us wrong with you Darrel?" I asked myself trying to shake of the horrible feeling I was having.
*******
It wass getting dark already had my mom was still not back from where she went to. It felt very calm in the pack house with her absense. Miss Agatha was not shouting like she would always shout.
"Looks like they're all doing their works perfectly." I muttered and continued walked out of the house. I took a stroll around the house trying to get my head back on track because a lot seemed to be going through my mind which was messing with me badly.
I remembered the little girl I met at Alpha Baron's birthday party, she looked really cute then iflased back to the part where I asked for her sister name.
The name rang a bell in my head which is still troubling me.
"Why does she have to bear the same name with a lowly maid?" I asked myself and sat down on the pool seat. One of the maids walked up to me and asked if I needed anything.
"Alphs Darrel." I heard a familiar voice call. I truebed side and saw Albert walking towards my direction. I felt relieged seeing him because I needed to tell him what's troubling me.
"There you are, I have been looking everywhere for you," Albert said to me when he finally got to where I was sitting. He sat down beside me and sighed. Albert looked stressed.
"Where were you?" I asked him a little worried because of the way he looked stressed.
"Running errands, I need to sort out a lot now," I was confused when I heard what he said.
"What do you mean?" I asked him with a surprised look on my face, I was trying to make it obvious to him that he got me confused.
Albert was obviously not going to tell me anything so I decided not to ask him about it anymore.
"Why are you here all by yourself?" Albert asked me, I was also wondering why I was seated there so there's no way I would answer that question correctly.
"I was bored inside there." I said to Albert.
"Your mom is still not back?" Albert asked. I felt it was embarrassing for him to ask me that question because I have no idea where she has gone to, she didn't tell me anything.
"No news from her yet." I replied to him almost immediately, anyone that hears the way I replied him could immediately tell that I was upset but I tried my best not to let it show. Albert picked my glass of wine and gulped it.
"You seem to forget that I'm your Alpha." I said to him and we both laughed, while we were chilling and in our thought Albert phone rang, I just knew he wasn't going to spend time with me before he runs another errand, Albert has become such a busy man, one would think he's the pack Alpha.
