Alpha Baron POV

　　It's just a few minutes more before the chiefs come for the brief meeting. I was worried because Albert already gave me a tip of what the meeting would be about. The meeting has to do with my marriage and I have no plan yet on who I am going for.

　　"We will tell them the truth, we don't have to fake any story and tell them what's not true." I stared at Albert's face and I could already tell he was more nervous than I know he was only trying to maybe make me feel better when he's in a worse situation than I am.

　　"I'm good, I just have to pick my words carefully." I said to Albert and sighed.

　　I decided to step out of the clamber so that I can feel less nervous, I sighted Lilian looking all soaked. It was a little bothering because she's my friend.

　　"Lilian," I called her name, she immediately turned to look at me when she heard me call her. I signaled her to come to where I was standing.

　　Lilian walked up to me and I realized the cloth was worse than what I was seeing from afar. Her clothes were soaked wet. I wonder what happened and if it was her carelessness that caused it.

　　"Why do you look this way?" I asked her while looking at her face. Lilian looked really upset. I could tell from the way she was looking at me.

　　"Are you not going to tell me anything?" I asked her.

　　Writer's POV

　　"I was a little careless while cleaning." Lilian lord. Lilian was too upset that she was not ready to use her present situation to gain pity from Alpha Darrell.

　　"You don't look okay, stop pretending to be okay, did anyone do this to you or you were just careless." Alpha Darrel insisted on knowing why Lilian looked soaked wet.

　　Lilian was letting go of the anger of what Luna Becky did to her and seeing how Alpha Darrell was concerned about her and why she looked soaked made her feel better. She stared at his face and thought it was the best time for him to fall for her.

　　"I really don't want to talk about it because even if you know what happened you'll be unable to do anything about it." Lilian said, trying to make Alpha Darrel more curious to know what happened to her. After hearing what she said, just as she wanted Alpha Darrel got more curious to know why she was looking sad.

　　"Tell me." Alpha Darrel insisted.

　　"I got your mom upset so she…" Lilian didn't complete her statement; she waited to see the reaction on Alpha Darrel's face before she completed what she was saying.

　　Alpha Darrel was about to say something when Albert called his name, Lilian was so upset tgat she wished she had the opportunity to Punch Albert on his face for ruining the moment she was having with Alpha Darrel.

　　"We will talk about this later." Alpha Darrel said to Lilian and walked away. It was so annoying because she thought she was slowly getting him and the fact that he was bothered about her made things easier. If only Albert did not call him they would still be having a conversation.

　　Alpha Darrel went into his chamber and the moment he got in the chiefs walked in. He was already relieved after having a brief conversation with Lilian so he is prepared to face the chiefs and know why they are so Interested in his marriage.

　　They all greeted him and sat on the chair, when they sat down the meeting started. Alpha Darrel listened to what each of them had to say and after listening to them he realized how important it is to have a jare as soon as possible.

　　He began to read on with them after hearing from all sides of view, now he has to give them a positive reply so that they know he is putting in an effort too.

　　"After listening to what you all have said, I have decided to push further with my plan on getting married to Alpha Baron's adopted daughter."

　　All the chiefs present were shocked to hear what Alpha Darrel said, they were so shocked that they couldn't hide it, it was written on their face.

　　"What do you mean? I mean, Why do you sound like you mean it?" Albert whispered to Alpha Darrel. Alpha Darrel acted like He didn't hear what Albert said to him.

　　"Just give me little time and everything will be sorted." Alpha Darrel assured all of them, they were all convinced after listening to him, they decided to wait till he brought her and they also gave him enough time to plan well.

　　When they were done with the meeting, the chiefs headed back to their houses and it was just Alpha Darrel and Albert in the chamber. Alpha Darrel still cannot believe he told them he's getting married to Alpha Baron's daughter when he has not even tried to make any love to get her.

　　"Why did you have to lie like that?" Albert asked Alpha Darrel, Alpha Darrel was still finding it hard to figure out how to go about it so he was not interested in listening to what Albert was telling him.

　　"What were you expecting me to tell them? You want me to tell them that I don't have a plan on getting married yet, or I haven't even started trying anything." Albert was quiet because Alpha Darrel was telling the truth but at the same time lying was not an option.

　　"Still you shouldn't have lied to them, what if things don't go well?" Albert asked.

　　Alpha Darrel was quiet because He didn't know the reply to give, somehow Albert was right and he was trying to make Aloha Darrel see reasons with him but Alpha Darrel already did it so the only thing they needed to do now is find a way to turn the lie into a truth.

　　"It's fine, I know I told a lie so what do we do now, because right now I can't think of anything." Alpha Darrel said to Albert trying to stop him from talking too much. Even though he was telling the truth.

　　"We have to start by having a conversation with your mom, I think your mom and Alpha Baron go way back," Alpha Darrel was shocked to hear what Albert said to him because it's his first time hearing it.

　　"What do you mean?" Alpha Darrel asked Albert for clarity.

　　Albert repeated what he said which left Aloha Darrel in a state of confusion, he was wondering what their relationship was and how to get to know each other.

　　He remembered how people used to call his mother all sorts of names then he started connecting the dots. Even though he thought it was wrong to believe them somehow he was curious to know what the real truth is.

　　"How did you know about this?" Aloha Darrel asked Albert because they are about the same age so how is he aware of such a thing.

　　"Everyone in the pack knows." Alpha Darrel felt chills all over his body after hearing what Albert said. He realized he was the only one in the dark that was not aware of his mother's relationships. He was curious to know what kind of relationship they had.

　　"I have something important to take care of, I'll be back soon." Albert said to Alpha Darrel and walked out of his chamber.

　　Alpha Darrel was left alone in the chamber still in thought. Even though he tried not to think too much about the kind of relationship they shared he couldn't help it.

　　"I need to know how they got close." Alpha Darrel muttered.
