Writer's pov

　　Alpha Darrel and Alpha Baron meeting was going well, he never expected Alpha Baron to be so friendly with him like he was, he thought it would be hard to have a conversation with Alpha Baron but fortunately it was a very easy one.

　　They were done eating and preparing to leave the restaurant.

　　"Now that we have had this conversation I want to invite you to our little gathering, that way you can meet with your wife." Aliha Darrel was pleased to hear what Alpha Baron said.

　　"Sadly I have somewhere to be on that day, I cannot meet her." Alpha Baron was a little disappointed but he was fine with Alpha Darrel coming, what matters is that he will be seeing the lady he wants to get married to.

　　The meeting was a successful one and they had to return to the pack house. Alpha Baron excused himself first because he had something urgent to attend to.

　　"Can we leave now?" Alpha Baron asked Luna Becky and they both stood up and headed out of the restaurant.

　　"Mrs Arthur." Edna called tiredly and asked if she was walking around the house.

　　"Good morning Edna." Mrs Arthur greeted with a smile on her face. "You look so tired." Mrs Arthur said to her with a smile on her face.

　　"Do I? Couldn't get enough sleep yesterday." Edna replied and collected the glass of milk from Mrs Arthur.

　　"Why couldn't you sleep? What was bothering you?" Mrs Arthur asked, sounding worried." Edna gulped the milk and dropped the glass on the counter.

　　"I was searching social media trying to find what it feels like to be married and how to behave as a married woman," Mrs Arthur couldn't hold in the laughter when she heard what Edna said to her, she couldn't believe Edna was going through all those stress just to behave well as a married woman. She could tell Edna was worried.

　　"Edna, you don't have to do all that, there is no point checking the internet on how to be like a married woman, you can still keep being you when you are there." Mrs Arthur tried to convince Edna, Edna was not exactly convinced by what Mrs Arthur said to her.

　　"I know, but you know how I am with people, I was just lucky to be loved here, all my life I have never been treated with so much kindness." Mrs Arthur was beginning to see where the worry was coming from, it's stuck in her head that no one can treat her well and it was messing with her mental state.

　　"Edna, you're stressing yourself too much, have you forgotten that you are now Alpha Baron's daughter? No one has the right to treat you badly." Mrs Arthur said to her. Edna felt relieved to hear that part Mrs Arthur said to her.

　　She let out a soft smile and finished the glass of milk.

　　"Why were you calling me earlier?" Mrs Arthur asked her.

　　"I missed you." Edna replied almost immediately and they both laughed. Edna was calling her to tell her something different but she changed her mind after seeing her, she thought there was no need to tell her what she was planning to tell her.

　　Mrs Arthur knew that Edna was trying not to say what was on her mind, but she was curious to know what was on Edna's mind ahd why she was stopping herself from saying anything.

　　Edna stood up and headed back to her room. When she got to the room she closed the door immediately and fell tiredly on the bed.

　　It's been up to one year now that she has been staying here and she is yet to join the company, just when her dad brought it up the marriage conversation happened.

　　Edna was worried about her status, she was thinking too much about it because she felt her dad didn't tell her to start working because he still felt she was not capable of handling things there.

　　As little as Amber is, they still feed her into some thing that has to do with the company. "At the end of the day, I'm just an adopted daughter." Edna muttered and rolled herself on the bed with the duvet covering her from her head to her toe.

　　While she was folding herself she heard a knock on the door, she was wondering who it was and she thought it cannot be Mrs Arthur because she just finished having a conversation with her, or else she has something important to say.

　　Edna stood up from the bed and rushed to open the door.

　　"Mrs Arthur." Edna called her name in disbelief, she was wondering what must have brought Mrs Arthur to her room all of a sudden.

　　"Your dad wants to see you, he has something important to say to you." Edna was surprised to hear what Mrs Arthur said.

　　"I'll be there shortly." Edna said to her and closed the door.

　　Edna was wondering what it was this time, did the suitor reject the marriage proposal? Edna was almost always filled with negative thoughts because of how her life has been. She never believes that good things can come her way.

　　Edna arranged her dress properly and stepped out of the room to go answer her dad. While she was on her way to the sitting room she couldn't stop thinking what the reason for calling her would be.

　　When she got there she sighted her dad sitting on the couch, she decided within her to take whatever he was going to tell her the best way possible because at the end of the day she's used to getting bad news.

　　Edna said on the couch in front of her dad, the seriousness in his face was killing her, the moment she sat down a man wearing suit walked in, the first thing that crossed her mind was that the man us her suitor, she looked at his face very well and she was totally not in support of getting married to such looking man.

　　"Good day dad." She greeted abs and faked a smile. The young man dropped the files he was holding and raised his head to look at Edna. He was not good looking. Edna couldn't stare at him for too long so he doesn't think she's in love with him already.

　　She looked at the file and started wondering if it's going to be a contract marriage. The silence between her dad and the young man was killing her.

　　"Edna." Her dad called her name while moving the file closer to him. "This is Barrister Carlos." Edna opened her eyes wider than normal, though she was relieved to know that he's not the one she would be getting married to.

　　"He is here to get your signature," My heart skipped a beat when Edna heard what her dad said. She was wondering why he would say She should give the lawyer her signature. What are they planning?

　　Edna stretched her hand and immediately Barrister Carlos locked hands with her. "It's a pleasure meeting you." They released their hands and Alpha Baron brought out the papers from the file bag.

　　Edna was very curious, she would have thought they want to trace her real family but he's a lawyer not a doctor, she was nervous and excited at the same time.

　　When he finally brought out the papers. Edna stared at her father's face trying to figure out through his expression if the file contained good things or not.

　　"Edna has been added to the family register. So now you have the right to the company." Edna was taken by surprise, she left her mouth open, she found herself speechless and unable to say any more words to her dad after hearing what he said.

　　"Dad, are you saying that I am now a part of the company?" Edna asked her dad so she could clarify she heard correctly. Her dad nodded his head and stretched the file to her so that she could add her signature.

　　Few minutes ago Edna was talking about not having access to the company and how she's always hired at home, little did she know that her adopted father had plans for her.

　　"Thank you so much dad, I really don't deserve you." Edna said to him and hugged him warmly.

　　"What's the occasion?" Aaron's father said the moment he walked in and saw the family lawyer seated In the sitting room.

　　Edna turned to look at him and wiped her tears immediately. She knows that her uncle will not be pleased to hear that she has been added to the family register.

　　"I just added Edna's name to the family register." Alpha Baron said to him. Aaron's dad rolled his eyes and walked away. "Good for her." He said as he was heading upstairs.

　　"That is totally unlike him." Edna muttered.
