Edna couldn't believe what just happened with Alpha Darrel as he was so sure she cheated on him when she had never done anything like that. She felt like he was trying to say something because he said something about her doing it again.
"I have never done anything like that, where did he get that assumption from?" Edna asked herself ahd angrily sat outside. She thought it will take a while before she forgives him because he kept making reference to her past and even added her mother.
Alpha Darrel and his mother never miss any opportunity to say something stupid about her mother. They are always trying to defame her and make it seem like she was a body hawker before she died. It was so bad that people started thinking she died of an illness as a result of the way she sold her body to men.
Hearing Alpha Darrel speak about her mother that way made her feel really bad.
"I can't forgive him this time." Edna muttered and folded her hand across her chest.
While she was seated outside. Alpha Darrel joined her. Edna pretended not to see him seated beside her.
"What are you doing here?" She asked him angrily. Alpha Darrel knew that he had nothing to say for what he did, there was nothing to justify his action.
"I am sorry about earlier. I shouldn't have said so much to you at the dinning, I was being insensitive." Edna was Impressed to hear him apologize but that was not enough for her to forgive him.
Edna still said nothing to him because while he apologized she realized the gravity of the word he said to her.
"You made mention of my mother in such light and you think an apology is enough. That's my mother we are talking about." Alpha Darrel was speechless after hearing what Edna said. She could tell he was trying not to annoy her again but she needed explanation, he said so much that cannot be overlooked.
"I'm sorry about that, I don't know what came over me." Alpha Darrel apology was not helping out at all, he just kept apologizing which was more annoying.
"I have somewhere to be. Don't look for me." Edna said to Alpha Darrel and walked away. She realized the conversation was only upsetting her and not making her feel better at all.
Alpha Darrel didn't know what to say to her; he just kept her walking away as she pleased.
Edna had to go see Alicia's mom after last night she didn't call her or know how she's doing, so she thought of going over there.
Even though the story Alicia's father was telling is the truth, what hurts the lord is that a little child lost her life.
While she was heading to Alicia's house she remembered what happened between her and Alpha Darrel a few minutes ago and the only thing she could think about is why he added her mother to the conversation.
She stopped a cab and the cab headed to her destination. While Edna was in the car she placed her head on the car window and kept sighing.
She couldn't wait to return to the pack where she could easily distract herself with a lot of things. Over here she has to be careful with every step she takes because she might be caught.
After a while they arrived at Alicia's house. Edna stepped out of the car and headed into the house.
The moment she stepped in she sighted Alicia's mom. She was wondering why there was no one in the house with her. No family, no friends, no neighbors.
"Why are you here all by yourself?" Edna asked worriedly.
Alicia's mother turned to look at her and sighed.
"There is nothing I can do about it. I had only her. When her dad left us, everyone left too. They thought I was cursed because my husband left my child and I in the hospital." Edna was shocked to hear what Alicia's mother said she was wondering why humans would be so vile towards their fellow humans.
They both headed to the mortuary and did everything right, both of them did the burial together and wished she Rest In Peace.
Alicia's father watched them from afar as they paid the little girl her last respect. Alicia's mother didn't shed a tear, obviously she has cried too much already.
Edna and the woman headed back to the house. When they got home, Edna helped prepare something she would eat but she refused to eat.
"Please, you have to eat something. Lily would love that too." Edna said to her while trying to make her eat.
Alicia's mother was not in the mood to do anything, she just sat down on the couch in deep thought without saying anything to Edna. Edna was trying her best but the woman was not moved by her words.
"Please, you have to eat something," Edna said to Alicia's mother trying to tell her to eat. Edna knew his thought the whole thing was on Alicia mom but her starving herself was not a good option, it would not change anything Instead it might only worsen things for her.
"Alicia wants you to be strong for her not to starve yourself like you are doing right now." Edna said to her. Alicia's mother was not interested in listening to anyone; she just wanted to go and meet her daughter.
Edna was with her the whole day and when it was getting dark she had to go home, but Alicia's mom was still not going to eat anything.
Edna was about to leave but she still didn't feel comfortable about leaving Alicia mother like that.
"Thanks for coming, I found a friend in you." Alicia's mom said to Edna. Edna walked away from the house and stopped a cab the moment she stepped into the cab she sent a message to Alicia's dad.
"Hopefully they sort things out." Edna muttered to herself as she was heading back to her house. She rested her head on the car window and heaved a sigh.
Edna and Alpha Darrel had to return to the pack because of something urgent that came up.
It was only Luna Becky's plan of bringing them back to the pack.
They got back at night and still weren't saying anything to each other.
"I'm sorry Edna." Alpha Darrel said to her ahd held her hands. Edna felt warmth from him and suddenly craved to spend the night with him. They both locked lips and ended up on the bed.
