Alpha Darrel pov

　　I woke up very early because there is an important meeting that I need to take care of at work today. After getting up from the head and all dressed up I turned to look at Edna on the bed.

　　She was still sleeping, she didn't even care to wish me luck considering the type of meeting I will be attending. She knows how tough the investors can be most times since she used to work at her father's company.

　　I decided to consider the fact that we are not living like real married couples. After all, we are not in love with each other.

　　I angrily walked out of the room and headed out of the house. Had to stop breakfast because I was upset.

　　"Darrel." I stopped the moment I heard her voice. It's my mom again.

　　"You didn't even bother to take my blessings before leaving for the meeting, that's very wrong of you." My mother said to me a little upset. I was in no mood for her silly talk so I just faked a smile and excised myself.

　　"Such an unfilial son." She said aloud so I could hear her. I walked into the car and immediately the driver started the car and zoomed out of the compound. While in the car I noticed a bag.

　　I was curious to know what was there. I gently opened the bag and it was breakfast. I was impressed by my mother's new skill of trying to put a smile on my face. The fact that she thought of surprising me made me feel good.

　　"Good luck on your meeting, I trust you will do great." The note was a little different from what my mother would write on a normal day which got me a little confused.

　　I couldn't think of any other person that would make me breakfast, I remember clearly that the chefs are yet to make breakfast so the person prepared the breakfast herself.

　　"My mom told you to drop this here, or did she drop it herself?" I asked the driver while opening the meal.

　　"It was my your mom." I was shocked to hear what the driver said but when I opened the good I was no longer shocked.

　　"Was that why she didn't wish me luck?" I asked myself when I recognized the food she made.

　　When we were younger I told her that was my good luck meal, because anytime I eat it I always feel good for the rest of the day.

　　"I can't believe she remembered." I muttered while staring at the food.

　　"Luna prepared it, she said u should make sure you don't go for a meeting with an empty stomach." The driver added. I was quite impressed. I didn't know what to do about the huge grin on my face because I couldn't help myself to stop.

　　I took a bite and the taste was so beautiful, I couldn't help but take more. It made me feel really happy. After a while we arrived at the company.

　　I was done eating the food Edna prepared for me. I got out of the car and headed inside for the meeting. While walking inside I used to be nervous on a normal day, but I found myself feeling confident for the first time, maybe because I now have someone that always believes in me.

　　"Good day Alpha Darrel." My Beta greeted the moment he saw me at the company. We both headed to my office.

　　"They will be here in a few minutes, " I heard Edna's father put in some good words for you, on his daughter's request." I nodded my head when I heard what he said. I didn't feel too good about it because I wanted her to trust him and believe in me but her dad putting In some good words for me airway made me feel like I can't do it by myself.

　　"Okay, any call from them, let's know if they're close or not." I asked as I started taking care of some documents that he attended to.

　　"Tracked their last call and I could tell they are three hours away from here." My Beta replied to me.

　　I was relieved to hear what he said. I still have a few minutes to prepare well. "Is the showroom ready?" I asked.

　　"Still in progress." He replied, I have to be done working on these papers fast so I can inspect the showroom before the arrival of the investors. We also are working on the fashion brand because that's the only one that needs more exposure among my many businesses.

　　After making sure the documents are well taken care of, I stood up and we both headed to the showroom. The moment we got there I watched them start the showcase.

　　I watched everything and I was impressed to see what they were doing.

　　"This is perfect." I said to them while clapping my hands. "Good job everyone." I said tivthemmajd walked away.

　　"We would work a little on the lighting, it shouldn't be too bright." I said to my Beta and headed into my office. He immediately went back to the showroom to get that taken care of.

　　The moment I got to my office I sat down and sighed tiredly. I have just a few minutes to rest before they arrive. While I was seated I picked my phone and mistakenly opened my gallery, the first person I saw was Edna.

　　It's a picture we took together during our honeymoon. We mostly didn't speak but the pictures we took were so beautiful. I hated myself for not being able to get her off my mind, I kept thinking about her which was driving me crazy.

　　Then I remembered the breakfast she woke up very early to prepare for me. Thinking appointed to all his then I remembered how she cheated on me which I'm yet to confront her about, I have never been able to ask her about it since she did that.

　　"I must be losing my mind." I muttered, My Beta walked into the office and I immediately turned off the phone so that he wouldn't see me checking out her pictures on my phone.

　　"Everything is good now." He said to me, now all we have to do is wait till they arrive.

　　I was very confident about the meeting and hoped that the meeting would go well. I need to make her proud.

　　I found myself trying everything to make Edna proud of me for the success of this meeting which is not supposed to be that way.

　　"Place a call across to them so that we can see where they are now." I said to Albert and he immediately placed a call across to them. Immediately after the call I am waited patiently to hear what he has to say.

　　"One hour away." Albert said to me and adjusted my tie. That few minutes already. They will get here in less than an hour if I'm not mistaken.

　　I started getting nervous when I realized they would be here sooner than I thought. While I was struggling to get over my nervousness, I sighed at someone walking into my office. "What is she doing here?" I asked myself as she walked in.

　　"Hey." She said to me and crossed her legs with her bag on the table and glued to her phone.

　　"You know you didn't have to be here." I said to her,

　　"I guess you would need to tell that to your mom, she literally chased me out of the house." Hearing Edna say that made me feel some type of way, I know my mom is very dramatic but I never knew she would go as far as sending her here.

　　I couldn't say any more words to her, I just let her continue using her phone.

　　"Will you be joining me at the meeting?" I asked so I could be aware of the main reason why mom sent her here.

　　"That's the reason I was chased out, so definitely I'll be there." She replied and raised her head to look at me, our eyes met and we stared at each other for a while.

　　"Alpha Darrel I…" When he sighted Edna he couldn't complete his statement.

　　"Good day Luna." He greeted me with his head low.

　　"I will excuse you two, let me take a look around the company." Edna said to us and excused herself from my office. I heaved a sigh of relief the moment she walked away. I can't believe my mom sent her here, I was nervous I would face the investors, now I have to be careful with my words so that my wife will be impressed.

　　"They're driving me nuts." I muttered and placed my hand on my head tiredly.

　　"What is it you wanted to say?" I asked Albert who seemed a little lost all of a sudden.

　　"They request something before they get here?" I raised my head curious to know what it is they want.
