Edna pov

　　After making Alpha Darrel a good luck breakfast I went back to sleep, though I wasn't asleep when he was leaving but I pretended to be so I don't wish him luck.

　　I'm sure he was mad at me when he was leaving for work. When he left, I took a nap and got up after a few minutes. I headed downstairs to get myself a bottle of water when I sighted Luna Becky. She looked at me and shook her head.

　　I just knew she was about to say something stupid.

　　"Look at how comfortable you are when your husband is doing his best to make sure the company has this partnership." She said to me ahd sipped her coffee. She was having breakfast for dinner. I know Alpha Darrel was going for an important meeting which is why I made him breakfast myself, well she's not aware of that.

　　"If I had known you were Edna I wouldn't have let my son get married to you in the first place." I rolled my eyes when I heard what she said, she's said this line over a million times.

　　"We would have been saving each other from this mess." I replied to her and headed upstairs, I knew it was going to piss her off badly which is why I said that to her. The moment I got to the room I sit the door and fell tiredly on the bed.

　　She couldn't even let me finish my water before trying to taunt me. I dropped the water on the table beside my bed and closed my eyes. I needed to clear my head and think a little. There is nothing I would do to make her like me. She's hated me forever.

　　While I was trying to think, I heard a knock on the door. I stood up immediately to check who it was.

　　"Good morning Luna." She greeted and lowered her head. I was wondering why Lilian visited me so early. It's usually unlike her.

　　"Luna Becky said I should inform you to prepare for the meeting as well." I was confused, what meeting?

　　I looked at Lilian struggling not to laugh before shutting the door. This woman sure knows how to piss me off really bad.

　　"How am I supposed to prepare for a meeting I don't know anything about?

　　I headed into the bathroom and had my bath. When I was done I walked to the closet and dressed up, after dressing up I sat in front of the mirror so that I could apply something on my face.

　　I stared at myself in the mirror again and realized I would be visiting his office for the first time, I have only visited there once when I was still a maid for them. Luna Becky didn't forget to humiliate me that day.

　　Recollecting that day, I had a change of heart, I stood up and walked to my closet again. I picked something luxurious and wore the shoe Amber got me. After dressing up I did a thing with my hair and applied a little touch to my face.

　　I was comfortable with my look when I was done.

　　While I was walking downstairs I could tell when the maids were stunned to see me, I sat on the dining and my breakfast was served. Luna Becky pretended not to see me.

　　"Looks like someone is going for a show off," She mumbled, though I could still hear her.

　　I pretended not to hear what she said and just focused on eating my food before leaving for the meeting I was forced to attend.

　　Lilian walked past me and our eyes met. Since I returned from my honeymoon I realized Lilian has been keeping her distance from me. She was even assigned to serve me but she ended up declining it a few days after I got here.

　　I thought she couldn't accept that I was now in a better position than her.

　　There was a heavy silence at the dinning as Luna Becky and I were eating breakfast. I brought out my phone and started going through it. I know how much it annoys Luna Becky when I'm with my phone, maybe I was actually looking for a way to piss her off.

　　"You know the investors are on their way there right? What sort of a wife are you? You don't take anything about your mate seriously and that's unfair." I felt sick to my stomach as I listened to her rant. I can't believe she's trying to make me the bad person right now.

　　"You're literally chasing me out of the house." I said to her,

　　"If that's what it looks like, fine." I scoffed. I couldn't eat peacefully because she kept asking me questions and saying things that'll puss me off.

　　I stood up from the dinning and picked my bag so that I could head out of the house. I can't believe she's kicking me out of the house because she wants me to join her son at work, not because she likes me but because she thinks my presence would be a plus for her son during the visit of the investors.

　　The moment I entered the car, the driver drove me to the company. I rested my head on the car seat as we were heading to the office. I could already imagine the expression on his face when he sees me at his office.

　　I can't believe I'm actually going there. Alpha Darrel and I have been avoiding each other and I started it, now I'm on my way to his office trying to be a wife all of a sudden.

　　Few minutes later we arrived at the company. I couldn't get out of the car immediately because I was still thinking if it was okay to step out of the car or not.

　　After thinking for a while I finally stepped out of the car and headed inside. While I was walking inside all the staff turned to look at me and I could hear murmurs, I wasn't surprised, it's my first time showing up as his wife after all.

　　They bowed their heads greeting as I walked past them until I finally arrived at his office.

　　I took a deep breath before opening the door. Alpha Darrel looked stunned to see me, he couldn't even hide it.

　　The investors were finally present and it was time for the meeting. Alpha Darrel and I stood up and walked outside to welcome them.

　　"Edna?" One of them asked. I was shocked to hear that because I never imagined they would know my name.

　　"Your dad said so much about you." The young man said to me and hugged me. It felt good to be the popular one among them.

　　We all headed inside, I couldn't tell if Alpha Darrel was happy about it and I didn't care.

　　We got to the board room and the young man kept staring at me. "Kelvin Jackson," He said to me with a bright smile on his face. As an over-thinker I started finding what he was doing a little too much.

　　"You are beautiful." He added. He looked intrigued by me, I wonder what dad said to him, that has made him this lost.

　　"Can we move to the reason we are here?" Alpha Darrel cuts in. I couldn't tell if he was just being a boss, or a jealous husband.

　　The meeting started and I just sat there a little blank headed, I couldn't tell what was going on because I didn't know much about the company, but from the review I could tell some things were not being fair to Alpha Darrel, Kelvin company would have more profit if they signed this deal.

　　"If the review is okay by you, let's sign this and move to the showroom." Kelvin said with a huge grin on his face.

　　"Why don't you amend the profit." I said to Kelvin. I was stopping myself from talking but I guess I couldn't hold it in for too long.

　　"What are you talking about?" Kelvin's secretary asked me. I sat properly and started explaining to them, I didn't know why I was doing this, maybe I just don't like when things are not fair.

　　When I was done talking I raised my head and noticed Kelvin was lost with a huge grin on his face as he was staring at me.

　　"Mr Kelvin." I called his attention and he immediately snapped out of his thoughts.

　　"We will go with what you have said." I doubt he heard what I said properly, his secretary was also shocked to hear him give such a reply. "Sir are you sure…" I stopped his secretary by raising his hands.

　　"I like her idea, and I'm going with it." Kelvin said with a bright smile on his face.

　　"Can we end this meeting already," Alpha Darrel said, sounding pissed.
