While Edna was still in the hospital, Alpha Darrel was trying his best to find out the truth and know who tried to kill her by drowning her in the pool.
It's a new day, and Alpha Darrel could barely get enough rest last night because he was trying to find out what happened and why the person tried to do it.
Even after trying really hard he still couldn't find a trace of the person. He stood up from the bed and yawned tiredly because he barely got enough sleep. Edna was still in the hospital and he has to go see her.
He stood up tiredly from the bed and walked into the toilet. He washed his face ahd when he was done he walked out.
Alpha Darrel sat on the bed tiredly before going into the bathroom for a proper bath. After bathing he dressed up and when he was all set he walked out of the room. Alpha Darrel found himself more concerned about Edna. He couldn't even fight himself to stop worrying.
He walked out of the room and headed downstairs. When he got downstairs his mom was already seated at the dining eating breakfast because she had somewhere important to be. At first she was planning on ignoring him before leaving but seeing that her son was not Interested in talking to her Luna Becky had to forget about pride and just speak to him.
"Are you still mad at me?" Luna Becky asked her son. She noticed that there was a little wall between both of them so she was trying to break it and have her son back, he seemed serious about not speaking to her which made her feel bad.
"Darrel, I'm speaking to you." Sue said to him with a louder voice when he was not responding to her no matter what She said to him.
Alpha Darrel turned to look at her and sat down for dinner.
"I wasn't mad at you." Alpha Darrel said to her ahd started eating breakfast, he brought four his phone and made a call across to the hospital telling them to make sure to take good care of his wife because he will be there soon.
"Are you going to the hospital this early?" His mother asked him worried, she thought he was going too early.
"Yes, my wife is still there." He replied to her. Luna Becky was not pleased with the fact that he kept referring to her as his wife and the way he kept talking about it really pissed his mother off.
"Is it not too early?" His mother asked abs immediately a call came from Edna's family. Alpha Darrel looked at his mother and finally picked the call.
"Good day Alpha." Alpha Darrel said the moment he picked the call, he was wondering why the Alpha chose to call him very early in the morning. Luna Becky paused eating when she noticed who her son was speaking to on the phone.
Alpha Darrel was calm all through the call and his facial expression was worrisome to his mother, he didn't seem pleased all through the call, his mother could already tell that the call was not a friendly one.
"What's going on? What did he say to you?" Luna Becky asked Alpha Darrel the moment he dropped the phone. Alpha Darrel did not respond to his mother, he looked like he was still In shock after the call.
"Say something Darrell." Luna Becky said to him when he was still not responding to her.
"How did he find out what happened to Edna last night, he just threatened that if anything happens to her we won't get the last laugh." Luna Becky was not expecting that reply from Alpha Darrel; she was shocked to see how much Edna is loved and how far they're ready to go just to see that Edna is living well.
If anything goes wrong between both families Alpha Darrel had more to lose which is why he was ready to do what it takes to make sure that both families are on good terms.
"Mom, I have to leave," Alpha Darrel said to his mother and stepped out of the house. The call was still ringing in his head and how the first time Alpha was not nice with his words, he sounded like he already knew she was not treated really well over here.
Alpha Darrel was getting scared and he started feeling bad for leaving her in the hospital last night all by herself, he thought he was supposed to spend the night with her no matter what. Alpha Darrel kept checking the time as he was on his way to the hospital.
He already took a break from work for a few days do that he could take good care of her in the house and try to make sure something like that never happens In the pack house, if words get out people will say that he doesn't take good care of his family which is why something like that happened.
After a short drive they finally arrived at the hospital. When they got to the hospital Alpha Darrel got out of the car and headed inside the hospital. The moment he got to her ward he saw that she was already awake. He was relieved to see her in good shape.
"Hey," He said to her calmly and looked at her face very well, he was trying to see if she was fully recovered already.
Edna nodded her head and let out a faint smile as she stared at him. "Heard you brought me here last night." Edna said to him with a faint smile, even though she was already awake she still felt weak so she could barely say anything too much to him.
"What happened?" Alpha Darrel asked, he thought it was too early to ask her that kind of question but he too curious to hear what really happened in the pool area last night.
"I still don't understand what happened last night, I was on the phone with my cousin when a hand pushed me into the pool." Alpha Darrel was confused because the CCTV was cleared meaning the person had access to that side of the house. Not everyone In the pack house can go to that side of the house.
"Did you see the person's face?" Alpha Darrel asked. Edna shook her head because she was unable to see the person's face, she could only tell that he owes on gas a really tough hand but still didn't feel like a man.
"I don't think it's a man, she was wearing a ladies bracelet." Alpha Darrel was shocked. He was relieved to hear that she couldn't see the person's face because he was scared it was his mother that did it.
"Good thing you're fine now." Alpha Darrel said to her and the hospital served her breakfast, Edna sat properly so she could eat the breakfast served to her. Alpha Darrel handed her phone back to her and excused her. He needed to meet with the doctor and confirm if she was in the right shape to be discharged.
While he was heading to the doctor's office he remembered what Edna said about the person that pushed her into the pool. His mother is not one to wear a bracelet at night so she might not be responsible for what happened.
"Good day Doctor." Alpha Darrel greeted with a smile on his face and sat down on the chair In the doctor's office.
"Good to see you Alpha Darrel." The doctor said with a huge grin on his face . "Last night could have been worse than that, good thing she was brought here fast, she shouldn't go into the pool for a while." Alpha Darrel could not say anything to the doctor because he was avoiding telling the doctor that someone pushed Edna into the pool.
"I would make sure of that," Alpha Darrel replied with a smile on his face. The doctor was pleased to hear what he said. He prescribed some medicine and told the pharmacy to get it ready and bring it to the ward for Alpha Darrell.
"Lastly, please tell her to refrain from anything that'll stress her for the time being, she doesn't need stress now." The doctor added Alpha Darrel excused himself from his doctor's office.
Alpha Darrel was on his way back to Edna's ward when he heard her on a phone call, he paused walking so that he could eavesdrop on her conversation, though it wasn't an intentional move.
"Daddy, I'm fine, why do you think I'm not, I just told you I'm in my room." Edna said to her dad trying to sound fine, Alpha Darrel didn't know why she was lying to her dad but He felt better hearing her say good things about him and his family even though she was lying to him.
Edna said so much lie to her dad and Alpha Darrel didn't know why she was doing it.
After the call He walked away, He had to avoid going back to the ward after hearing what she said to her dad.
Alpha Darrel walked to the reception and found somewhere to seat,
His soft spot for Edna was growing wider as she was showing him so much that He didn't know about her. She made him see a different side of her and He couldn't help but admire her.
"Why did she defend us on the phone?" Alpha Darrel asked himself.
