Writer's pov
It was finally time for Edna and Alpha Darrel to leave the pack, she was done putting her things inside her box when she sighed and sat on the bed.
"Can't believe I'm leaving tomorrow." Edna muttered with her hands on her box. She enjoyed her moment in the pack so much that she didn't want to leave again. She looked around her room and knew she would miss her life in the pack again.
While she was in deep thought Alpha Darrel walked into the room. She heaved a sigh when he walked in and stood up from the bed.
She continued moving her other stuff into the second box.
Alpha Darrel and Edna did not say anything to each other they just packed their stuff into the box and when they were done Edna walked into the bathroom while Alpha Darrel sat on the bed waiting for her.
He felt they still have a lot to talk about and try to straighten their relationship the best way they can.
When Edna was done bathing she walked out of the bathroom with a towel tied around her chest. Alpha Darrel was distracted for a moment while staring at her bare skin. They looked at each other for a while before Edna stopped it by walking closer to the closet. She picked out her night wear and dressed up.
After dressing up she headed to the bed and sat down. Alpha Darrel was still unable to say anything to her. He just kept staring at her while thinking of how to start the conversation.
"Is there anything you want to tell me?" Edna asked when she noticed how restless he was. Alpha Darrel let out a soft smile and sat down properly.
"I was waiting for you to get a little comfortable before I bug you with this conversation." Alpha Darrel said to her behaving nervous.
Edna looked at the way he was rubbing his hands and she could immediately tell he was not bold enough to say what he had in mind. Which means it must be something she doesn't want to hear.
"I'm free now, let's talk." Edna said to him and sat down properly looking prepared to hear what he had to say.
"We're returning to the pack and you know how mom can be, she has always been against both of us and she's not going to change that anytime soon." Edna listened to him but she was not getting him clear, she couldn't comprehend what he was trying to say to her because he kept beating around the bush.
"I don't understand anything you just said, yes I know we've not had the best relationship because of you mother, that shouldn't be a new thing to you, why talk about it now?" Edna asked him, sounding already frustrated, this is why he was avoiding having the conversation because he thought she might not take it well.
"I know it's not a new thing but I would like us to build our relationship better than it already is." Edna was shocked to hear what Alpha Darrel said. It's the first time he's acting concerned about both of them. Since he returned to the pack they became strangers, down to the time when he banished her from the pack and now he wants them to work on their relationship.
It's something she never imagined to hear him say to her which is why she became speechless.
"Did you hear what I said?" Alpha Darrel asked Edna and she immediately snapped out of her thought and turned to look at him.
"Ohh, I heard what you said. Let's do that." Edna replied to him and laid on the bed. Alpha Darrel was not satisfied with her reply because he thought she was not fine with what he just said to her.
They both went to bed after thinking about each other for a while.
The next morning.
Alpha Darrel woke up and noticed Edna was still asleep. He couldn't help but stare at her face while she's asleep.
"She's so cute." He muttered and laid properly so he could watch her well. While he was looking at her he noticed she was about to wake up then he closed his eyes pretending to be asleep already.
Edna stood up from the bed and walked out of the room. The moment she stepped out Alpha Darrel opened his eyes. "That was close." He whispered with his hand on his chest.
It felt like time was flying as the day got brighter, Alpha Darrel and Edna were all dressed up and ready to leave.
Amber didn't feel bad this time because she was also moving to another environment and there she will be meeting new people. Dad decided to take her to aunts house.
Her mother's younger sister. "Do you really have to go this early?" Amber asked. Edna bent down and held her hands.
"It's a very long way." Edna said to her. "Can't you at least go after me?" Amber asked, still being persistent about leaving before Edna.
Edna was getting tired of explaining but she still somehow needed to convince her.
"You're going by air, I'm leaving by road, they are two different means, yours is faster than mine." Amber finally understood so she didn't bother Edna anymore.
"Be a good girl to aunt, and make sure you call everyday." Edna said to Amber trying to make her feel enough love from her. Amber knew it would take a very long time for her to see her sister again which made her almost tear up.
"Are we ever going to see each other again?" Amber asked. Edna has been struggling not to cry but the moment she heard the question Amber asked, knowing the truth made her emotional.
"Amber, trust me, you two are going to meet sooner than you think." Alpha Darrel said to Amber trying to make Edna feel better. Edna hugged her dad and finally said goodbye to them.
"Uhh, why does it feel like we're saying out final goodbye to her." Edna's father said with his hands in his pocket and sighed while watching the car drive away until they were out of sight.
