Alpha Darrel pov

　　The next morning.

　　I woke up and met Edna, already all dressed up for work, I can't believe she is this excited to resume work to the extent she is already dressed up for work.

　　"Good morning." She greeted with a smile on her face. It's been a while since Edna greeted me with such a smile on her face.

　　She picked her bag and walked out of the room. I stood up and followed her behind so I could stop her from leaving the house because I'm yet to tell the staff that she's the new manager, they might be shocked to see her and possibly embarrass her.

　　"Can you wait for us to get there together?" I said to her trying to stop her. She put her breakfast into her bag and turned to look at me.

　　"Don't worry, I know how to handle everything myself." She said to me and stepped out of the house.

　　"This is not something you can handle." I muttered to myself and rushed into the room to get dressed for work. While I was in the bathroom I couldn't help but laugh when I thought of how she might be embarrassed in the company when she gets there.

　　When I was done bathing I walked out and got dressed up for work. I stepped out of the room when I was all set for work.

　　"Darrel." I stopped on my tracks the moment I heard her call my name, i turned to look at her and Lilian was still beside her. "What is this now? Are you her sidekick or pushover? You are always with my mother everyday." I said to her angrily. My mother looked upset to hear what I said.

　　"Darrel, stop, I didn't call you to hear you insult me," my mother said to me angrily. I couldn't believe my ears, so now insulting her sidekick means I'm insulting her as well.

　　"Mom I can't remember saying anything to you, I was talking to Lilian." I said to her and walked away.

　　"Let's talk." She said to me, I couldn't leave the house as early as I thought, I wonder what's going on with her in the workplace right now.

　　"Hopefully they're nice to her." I muttered and joined my mother on the couch.

　　"Mom, you have to be fast i have something important to take care of." I said to my mother and stared at her face.

　　Writer pov

　　While Edna was on her way to the office she was very excited. She kept checking her face through the car mirror, it's the first time she's introducing herself to Alpha Darrel staff at work. They will be stunned to see her, that's why she wore the dress her dad bought from France specially for her.

　　Edna couldn't hold in the excitement so she placed a call across to her dad telling him about her new work and the position she was going to handle.

　　"Hello dad." Edna said to him with a smile on her face.

　　"It's getting scary now, you called yesterday, and now you're calling again." Her dad said to her

　　"Dad, why are you making me feel bad?" Edna said to him with a calm voice. Alpha Baron smiled, he wasn't serious with what he said.

　　"Your dad still has a good sense of humor." He said to her with a bright smile on his face. Edna was relieved to hear what her dad said, she realized he was not serious when he said what he said few minutes ago.

　　"I am on my way to work." Edna said to him excitedly. She was waiting to hear what her dad would say and his reaction to the news.

　　"Hmm, is that what you want?" Surprisingly he asked a question she was not exactly happy to hear.

　　"Yes dad, that's what I really want, it's boring in the house all alone almost all the time." Edna said to her dad trying to assure him that she was the one that requested to work. Her dad was relieved to hear what she said.

　　"If that's what you want, then I'm happy and proud of you, wish I was there to see you," He said to her with a smile on his face.

　　"I'm wearing the clothes you got me from France last year." Edna said to him with a bright smile on her face. Alpha Baron was happy to hear what she said. He wished her luck and ended the call. The moment he ended the call she looked up and saw the name of the company. She's never been here since she got married to Alpha Darrel.

　　She got out of the car and headed inside the office. When she got in she was not allowed entry until the staff area. Edna was confused, then she remembered what Alpha Darrel said to her when she was about to leave the house.

　　"How should have fucking called the people here to avoid this embarrassment." Edna muttered to herself angrily. She was really pissed and trying not to lose it completely.

　　People passed by and they couldn't stop staring at her dress. They all called it a limited edition and also added the brand name. Edna felt very embarrassed and was about to leave when he finally arrived. She looked at Alpha Darrel angrily and was finally allowed entry. They all tried apologizing but she was not interested in what they had to say.

　　"If you knew I was going to be embarrassed like this, why didn't you stop me from leaving the house?" Edna asked him angrily When they got into the elevator. Alpha Darrel was confused because he could remember clearly when he told her to wait for him but she refused to wait and insisted on going there by herself.

　　"I can remember very well that I tried stopping you but you were adamant about going and you didn't want to hear anything from me." Alpha Darrel said to her and Edna went mute immediately. She couldn't say any more words because she knew she was in the wrong by leaving the house without waiting to hear what Alpha Darrel had to say.

　　They finally got to the third floor and walked out of the elevator. Alpha Darrel took Edna to her office and introduced her to the rest of the staff that she is the new manager and also the pack Luna. Edna introduced herself and she was happy to be welcomed very well by them. She was shown her office and immediately her name was added on her desk.

　　She couldn't be more happy, she is finally living the kind of life she has always wanted.

　　Edna sat on the chair and put her blazers on the top of her chair. She felt very comfortable for a first timer, but it's because she's been waiting for this moment.

　　Her personal assistant lied into the office and Edna was shocked to see who it was. "Petra?" Edna still looked shocked to see her, she never imagined Petra was already working in the company, or did he bring her because he felt bad for what his mother did?

　　"What are you doing here, I mean how did you get the job?" Edna asked Petra, feeling very excited to see her in her workplace.

　　"I'm so happy to finally see you again, I know we separated in a very embarrassing way. " Petra said to Edna and they both walked to the couch. Edna sat down and stared at Petra's face.

　　"I know you didn't do it, I just hated myself because I couldn't do anything to help you win the fight." Edna said to Petra and picked the glass of coffee that was served to both of them by the staff.

　　Petra was relieved to hear what Edna said to her, she thought Edna was still upset with her for what she was accused of doing.

　　"I know you were not in the best position to help me which is why I didn't blame you for not being able to stand for me, actually at a point I thought you didn't trust me.

　　"How have you been coping since you left the pack house?" Edna asked Petra, a little worried about her. Petra smiled and turned to look at Edna.

　　"One person trusted me because he saw what happened that day." Edna was confused at first and then when she thought about it again and realized it was Alpha Darrel she was talking about.

　　"He believed you? So why did he not say anything, you were accused of stealing something that belonged to his mother." Edna said, sounding very upset, Petra smiled when she saw the way Edna was reacting. She was so happy to see Edna again that she couldn't pretend.

　　"Lilian stole it and she was sent by Luna Becky. Alpha Darrel didn't want to embarrass his mother in front of everyone by calling out Lilian, that's why he pretended not to know anything and just remained quiet about it.

　　Edna couldn't believe her ears, she finally found out how low Luna, Becky and Lilian can go just to humiliate the person they don't like.
