Edna's pov

　　The dinning was very tense, I could sense Daniel was still fuming after hearing what Alpha Darrel said to him. No one said anything while we were eating. I kept stealing glances at Hope to see her facial expression, and shockingly she didn't look bothered.

　　"What did you promise Albert?" Daniel asked all of a sudden and everyone's ear opened like they were waiting for Daniel to ask the question.

　　Alpha Darrel turned to look at me, I knew a day would come when this topic would come up, I was wondering why he has asked any question all these while.

　　"Why would you ask such a question?" Alpha Darrel asked Daniel. Daniel was quiet for a minute when he heard Darrel's response to his question.

　　"You know I have been wondering why he has always been too hard headed towards me, that day just confirmed my doubts, now I know that he was working for you." Daniel said. He was really trying to bring up Aiden's name during dinner.

　　"Can you stop talking about Aiden, I have nothing to say to you, if you have anything you want to know i'd advise you go see him yourself." Alpha Darrel replied angrily.

　　"Who do you think you are?" Becky asked. I realized the misunderstanding was already getting worse especially with Becky's I intervention. "Why does she always try to get involved?" I muttered angrily.

　　"I am the son of Dagger and the rightful heir to everything he own." Becky made a first angrily, I could tell from the look on her face that she was fuming already.

　　"You are nothing but a concubine son, who forced herself into dad's life." Daniel said with his teeth, he was losing his mind already when we are yet to start with the plan.

　　Alpha Darrel laughed out when he heard what Daniel said, which is a reaction I was not expecting from him.

　　"Is that what your mom told you? Or you just chose to believe that story." Alpha Darrel asked. I could tell Alpha Darrel was confident about the question because the story was totally different from what Daniel just said.

　　Daniel suddenly became calm and turned to look at his mom, from her facial expression he already knew he was going to lose.

　　"Yolie, that's what mom used to call you." Hope looked shocked to hear what Alpha Darrel said. Which means Becky used to be a maid in the pack house before she became the Luna.

　　"I hope you can now tell who forced her way into this house after my mother's death." Alpha Darrel said angrily and walked away. I stood up immediately and followed behind him.

　　I knew he was hurt especially when they had such disgusting thing to say about his late mother, they shouldn't have brought her name into the conversation but they chose to be so heartless.

　　When he got to the room. I was about to walk in bug I stopped myself, I knew this moment was not only hurtful but also embarrassing to him, so it'll be best I give him some time to feel better.

　　I took some steps back and headed to Lily's room. When I got to the room there was no one there, I laid on the bed thinking really hard then I placed my hand on my belly.

　　"Oh my goodness, what are you doing here?" Lily asked the moment she walked into the room. I sat up when I saw her and rested my head on her shoulder.

　　"Do you think returning here was a good idea?" I asked calmly. Lily took in a deep breath and sighed after hearing what I said.

　　"Were you expecting things not to go this way?" Lily asked. Its not like I'm surprised with how things are going, I am only scared because of my child and the environment is getting too toxic for my baby, we would have to find the proof as fast as we can do they can leave us alone.

　　"I really don't know anymore." I said calmly.

　　The next morning. I would myself in Lily's room, I can't believe I slept off here, Alpha Darrelmight think I don't care about him because he was going through a tough time last night and I was able to sleep without checking up on him.

　　"I'm such a bad person." I muttered to myself several times and finally stood up from the bed after contemplating for too long.

　　I headed out of the room and the moment I stepped it I met Daniel standing in front of me. My heart skipped, when I saw him.

　　"What are you doing here?" I asked him with my hand on my belly hoping my shock wouldn't affect the baby.

　　"Can we talk."Daniel asked. I felt sick the moment I heard him ask that question because what else does he want us to talk about.

　　For old times same I decided to hear what he has to say. We both headed downstairs and walked towards the resting area in the sitting room, where we sat down, I requested for a cup of coffee, which the maid got for me and I took a sip.

　　"What is it you have to say?" I asked him and dropped my cup of coffee.

　　"I noticed you didn't spend the night with that loser." I brushed my hair backward with my hand and smirked when I heard what he said. I knew he wouldn't have anything reasonable to say, he's only trying to prove a point to Darrel.

　　"You amuse me Dan." I said to him and heated a sigh. It still feels like yesterday when we just got married, then the world revolved around me and I could only think about the future with Daniel, if only I knew things were going to end up this way, I wouldn't have done something I did in the past.

　　"I want you to break up with him." Daniel announced.

　　I couldn't believe my ears, I don't know what made him feel he has the right to tell me what and what not to do.

　　"I will not." I replied him almost immediately. I was very upset with him for thinking he has the right to tell me such a thing.

　　"Why?"

　　"We are expecting a baby together." Daniel looked shocked to hear what I said to him. "What?"

　　Alpha Daniel's pov

　　The news of her pregnancy was so shocking that I couldn't sleep all night. I kept thinking of how they met and when they got so close that she's expecting a baby already. It seemed really hard to believe, I didn't want to believe it but on the other hand she had no reason to lie about it.

　　"Looks like you're still worried about the love of your life expecting another man's child." Hope said to me. How is she still asleep by this time?

　　"Can you please mind your business and stop trying to piss me off every time." I said to her angrily and rested my head properly. I could tell she was very happy about the news of Edna's pregnancy.

　　"Remember you ruined what you two had before, stop trying to get what you can't have." She said to me and finally went to bed. I angrily looked at her and stopped myself from saying anything to her because it won't change anything if I begin to exchange words with her.

　　I decided to go to bed and think of what to do during the day because there's no way I'm going to let him have her.

　　The next morning.

　　I headed out of the room very early because when we used to live together Edna used to be the first to always wake up so I was trying to meet up so we could have a conversation and maybe she would end up changing her mind and accept me back into her life.

　　When I got to the sitting room there was no one there. I sat on the couch waiting to see if she would walk down the stairs but she didn't come.

　　While waiting I requested that the maids offer me a cup of coffee that'll help me stay awake and wait for her.

　　I waited for about two hours and she was not still downstairs. While I was still waiting I saw Alpha Darrel walking down the stairs, the day was getting brighter.

　　"Oh no." I muttered angrily when I saw him walking down, I can't believe he's the one I'm seeing after waiting for so long.

　　"Good morning brother." Alpha Darrel greeted and headed towards the fridge and brought out a bottle of water. He opened the bottle and started walking towards me. "Why is he coming this way?" I whispered to myself when he was getting closer.

　　"What are you doing here all by yourself?" Alpha Darrel asked and sat in front of me. I glared at him trying to chase him away with my unfriendly look, but after doing that several times Alpha Darrel didn't move an inch.

　　"This is my house, I choose to stay where I want and anytime I want to be there." I replied to Alpha Darrel angrily.

　　I kept checking the stairs even when he was already sitting in front of me because I know that Edna will still walk down the stairs, that's her normal way, or else eyes will change.

　　There was a short silence between both of us and I kept wondering what he was still doing seated in front of me.

　　"I want to go into dad's room." Alpha Darrel said to me. I opened my eyes wider than normal when I heard what he said, what does he want from a dead room, I mean it has been locked for years now and no one has ever gone there.

　　"What do you want from there?" I asked curiously. I know Alpha Darrel to be such a cunning person so I know he's definitely up to something.

　　"I didn't have enough time to spend with dad, which is why I want to go in there and feel his presence one more time." I chuckled when I heard what Alpha Darrel said, he sounded like a child to me because why would he be requesting to see dad's room just because he misses him?

　　I had no reason to say no to him because it's not something that'll affect me or bring me harm, I better let him keep living in his delusions.

　　"When you're ready, I'll give you the keys." I said to him and crossed my legs.

　　"I'm ready." He said almost immediately like he's been waiting for me to say that. I stared at his face wondering why he was so desperate. Though I have always known him to be a very desperate person, I shouldn't be surprised.

　　"Fine." I said angrily had requested the maid in charge to get me the keys to that room.

　　I still stared at him trying to figure out why he's so desperate to be in that room. That room has been abandoned for a very long time so there's nothing reasonable there.

　　The keys were handed to him and he excused himself from the sitting room, I figured out he only came to meet me because he needed the keys which kept me wondering why he was so in need of the keys, but I couldn't figure out anything so I decided not to bother myself about the Keys and keep waiting just maybe Edna would show up in the sitting room.

　　I heaved a sigh and turned to look at the frame on the wall, it was just me mom and dad. Staring at the frame made me realize how much I have forgotten what dad looks like. It's been years and we were never best of friends, he used to prefer Alpha Darrel all the time and would take his side in everything.

　　Then memories flashed back, when we saw his will and how he was going to give everything he owned to Alpha Darrel when he was ill, if mom wasn't smart enough I would have been left with nothing.

　　"Did you hate me to such an extent, after I did everything to make you love me but you never, you always showed to Alpha Darrel that he was your favorite.

　　"If only you were nice to me, you would have definitely lived longer." I muttered to myself and gulped the coffee left in the cup.
