CHAPTER 102

  Edna pov

It still felt like a nightmare to me that Daniel has finally moved out of the house, the revenge I have been waiting to carry out finally happened, he lost everything including the house, I don't care what his next step would be, I'm rather excited about the little victory I got.

"Come here." Alpha Darrel said to me and we hugged each other for a very long time. "I'm so happy and I know mom would be happy too." Alpha Darrel said almost in a whisper while he was hugging me. We released ourselves and sat on the couch then Lily walked towards me with a glass cup and wine on the other hand. She wants us to celebrate our victory.

"Why don't we call Albert over." Lily suggested, today is supposed to be a happy day but I guess it had suddenly been ruined because of the news Alpha Darrel is about to break to Lily.

"What? It's fine if you want it to be just us." Lily said with a smile on her face, though I could tell she was not as happy as she tried to make herself look.

"Albert left to attend some important matters." Alpha Darrel said to Lily, who seemed to not believe what Alpha Darrel was saying to her.

"It's fine if you two don't want to see him with me because you don't trust him, and I appreciate that you care, but lying to me just to make him look bad is what I cannot tolerate." Lily said to both of us angrily. I know that I have been the most negative with anything that has to do with Albert but this time I wasn't telling a lie.

"Lily, come on, why would I lie about such a thing? You should know better than anyone that I wouldn't lie to you like that." I tried to explain to her so that she would stop thinking that I'm lying to her and see little truth in what I was saying to her.

"Where did he travel to?" Lily asked.

"The crescent moon pack," Lily looked shocked so was I when we heard what Alpha Darrel said, I was only aware of his absence but I didn't know he went that far. It's the farthest pack from here.

"My goodness, and he couldn't even tell me about it." Lily said while laughing as she poured herself a full glass of wine, I was a little scared of her reacting because I was expecting her to be mad or cuss him out angrily, but she was doing the complete opposite of what I imagined.

"I don't think he knew he would be going that far." Alpha Darrel said to Lily trying to make her feel better, but it seemed like she was not as hurt as we thought she would be.

"I'm not mad at him, it's not like we made it official," Lily said with a faint smile on her face, I could tell she was trying to be strong which made me hate Albert even more.

"Do you think I'm too clingy?" Lily asked all of a sudden. I didn't know what to reply to her because I know her to be a very clingy person which is why I avoided her when we first met, but with her present state I can't tell her the truth because it'll only hurt her more.

"Why would you ask such a question?" I asked her, trying to make her stop thinking that way about herself. "Let's not ruin the mood with the sad questions, we just achieved something big." Lily said while pouring us a glass of wine. We cheered and took a sip, I kept watching her and she gulped the complete glass in one go. I could tell she was not as fine as she made it look.

She poured herself another glass and gulped it all immediately . I realized if she continued like that she would get wasted. "Lily, that's enough already, come here." I said to her calmly trying to stop her from drinking, but she didn't look like she was going to stop even with the way I was talking to her.

"Leave her, she might feel better after drinking." Alpha Darrel said to me when she refused to stop, I wasn't comfortable about not stopping her because I knew she isn't the type to drink too much on a normal day.

I decided to listen to Alpha Darrel and let her be, but my eyes were on her, she was already tipsy and it's just a little time before she'll get wasted.

"Do you think he'll be back for her?" I asked Alpha Darrel because the reason why he traveled is because he wanted to hear his life back together. He felt he was getting lost at some point, so he chose to go somewhere else, where he can try to find himself again. Even when Alpha Darrel tried to stop him from going he insisted on going there. Little did I know he was going as far as the Crescent moon pack where we can't have access to him or else we choose to travel such a long distance.

"Do you know the crazy thing?" Lily suddenly asked while laughing. I turned to look at Alpha Darrelwho was also looking at me as we were both wondering why she was laughing.

"He went to the pack I was banished from." She said and continued laughing. It's the first time Lily was telling me this part of her story, she only told me she was banished but she never told me it was the Crescent moon pack.

I covered my mouth with my hand and turned to look at Darrel. "That's his mom's pack, she was the Alpha's youngest daughter," I felt like I was going crazy hearing these truths from Darrel, how am I just finding out about it? Why did I not know all these all along?

"What?" I was surprised to hear what Alpha Darrel said to me.

I can't believe there's so much I'm yet to know about the people around me.

"Maybe he found out I'm a Rogue." Lily muttered and gulped the glass of wine again. Alpha Darreland I couldn't drink anymore because the mood in the house isn't as bright as it was the moment Daniel and his mom left. We both watched Lily drink until there was nothing left in the bottle.

There she slept off. Alpha Darrel helped me carry her to her room, we made sure she was okay before we left her room.

The moment Alpha Darrel and I got back to the room we laid on the bed and I heaved a sigh. I have never seen Lily in such a state, she seems to be losing her mind slowly, I never knew she liked him to such an extent.

"Are you going to tell him about what happened tonight, I mean how she reacted to hearing about his absence?" I asked Alpha Darrel curiously, both of them are as close as brothers so it kept me wondering if Alpha Darrel is also in support of Lily's liking towards Albert.

"Lily is a great girl, but you know I don't have the right to say much because I don't know what's on his mind." Alpha Darrel said to me trying to avoid asking the question. I didn't want to push it because I know he isn't in the position to decide for Albert but seeing Lily in such a state hurts me badly. She's such an Angel and doesn't deserve such a heartbreaking situation with someone she loves so much.

"It's fine, I understand." I replied to him and we both laid on the bed properly.

"How's my baby doing?" Alpha Darrel asked as he placed his hand on my belly. A smile clouded my face the moment he asked the question with his hand on my belly.

"Doing great." I replied to him almost immediately.

"Be good." He said almost in a whisper while his hand was on my belly like he was trying to talk to the baby.

"Looks like you no longer care about me, you don't care about your unborn child." I said to him with a spur look on my face. He didn't bother to ask how I was doing, he only cared about the baby which made me really sad.

"Were you upset?" He asked. I folded my hands around my chest without replying to him. I was too upset to tell him the truth.

"You don't have to try to make me feel better, it's obvious that the baby is now your priority." I said to him again, still insisting that he was being partial.

He suddenly stood up from the bed. At first I thought he was upset and I wanted to call him back but I stopped myself and closed my eyes angrily.

"Hey." He called gently almost in a whisper when he returned to the room. I opened my eyes and saw him holding a box. I looked at his face and tried to hide the grin on my face but it was almost impossible.

"What is this?" I asked curiously.
