Writer's pov
When Daniel and Becky were finally out of the pack after being sent on exile they felt like their life had been turned upside down, they lost everything in one night and Hope is suddenly nowhere to be found, she couldn't even wait for some days before she left.
"Mom, do you think we are being punished for our sins?" Daniel asked Yolanda as they were walking in the woods, they had nowhere to go. Their Accounts are frozen already, packs heard about their downfall so no one wants them in their pack.
There's absolutely nowhere for them to go.
"We are not, we were just surrounded by wicked people." Becky replied to him. She still felt she didn't do anything that bad that'll make them get punished the way they were punished. Daniel had a little flashback of the smile on Darrel's face when they were cheering him as the new Alpha. "Looks like he's been dreaming of this day all his life." Daniel said angrily.
They found a place to sit because Becky was already tired and she couldn't move again. She realized Camilla made the best decision when she talked about leaving the pack. "I should be home with her." Becky said almost in a whisper. "And leave me here?" Daniel asked childishly. Becky glared at him angrily and rested her head properly.
"If you hadn't given him the keys to your dad's room all this wouldn't be happening." Daniel realized how stupid he was again.
"How was I supposed to know such important information? Why didn't you tell me about it?"
"Because I didn't know the exact spot it was, he told the doctor before he died that he left the file in his room, but I couldn't hear where he said it was because I only overheard the conversation, he never confided in me to tell me about it. He always saw me as the devil in his life, he deserved what he went through." Becky cursed angrily.
There was a short silence between both of them as Daniel was about to ask his mom a question that has been bothering him.
"Mom, were you really an Omega?" Becky opened her eyes wider than normal when she heard the question Daniel asked her. She has been telling him a different story all along. Maybe now is the right time to tell him the truth.
"I was his mom's personal maid, she trusted me with everything which made me get close to the Alpha, my father was a Rogue and my mother an Omega, it felt like there was no future for me with my background so I had to find a way to put myself in the situation that'll change my story." Daniel looked shocked to hear how far his mother can go when she needs something.
"I spent the night with Alpha Jak when she was still unable to give him a child. Few days later I took in, and that was how it all started. I wanted the Luna position so badly that I didn't realize she was also pregnant. She left the pack and traveled to a far away place, your father hated me so much because he thought I was the cause of her disappearance." Daniel was surprised to hear the story, he never imagined something like this happened in the past.
"Is that why he returned all by himself? And was accused of killing his mother?" Daniel asked curiously. He was still very young when all this happened, even though he was a year older than Darrel, Alpha Darrelknew the whole story better than him because all his life he has thirst for revenge.
"I forged the story so that he could be kicked out of the pack." Daniel opened his eyes wider than normal.
Becky did so much just to get everything and now it has been wiped away within a blink of an eye. Daniel realized how desperate his mom was when he was younger, he also treated Alpha Darrel badly because of the different story his mom told him, but hearing the truth doesn't change anything because he's going to get everything back.
"I did so much to make sure you achieved everything but look at how you ruined it all in one day. I did a whole lot of dirty things to get us to where we were but you turned it all into a nightmare for me.
Daniel was in deep thought while listening to his mom, his thirst for revenge got worse while his mom was talking to him, he realized the same way Alpha Darrel returned to take everything back should be the same way he would return to the pack to get everything back, he just needed to have a starting point.
He looked around the woods as he heaved a sigh, there was nowhere to start from as he was looking around the woods.
Daniel decided not to rush himself, they better spend the night in the woods then tomorrow they will continue their journey before they can find a start point for their revenge.
Meanwhile, Edna was still mad at Darrel, she wasn't saying anything to him even though he already apologized to her. He regretted speaking to her the way he did so he apologized but she was not ready to take that apology.
"Are you going to stay mad at me?" Alpha Darrel asked her as he was approaching her where she was seated. Edna folded her hands around her chest angrily, she knew he was definitely remorseful for what he did which is why he was coming towards her but she was still mad at him.
"I'm sorry if my words were too harsh, you know I wouldn't want to offend you or make you feel bad intentionally." Alpha Darrel said to her while her hands were still folded angrily.
"Do you know how hurt I was when you kept talking to me in such an annoying manner, you didn't even care if I was fine with the way you were talking." Edna explained her anger.
"And what was that you said again? I'm always playing the victim? Seriously Darrel?" Alpha Darrelrealized it might be harder than he thought to make her feel better because she kept counting the things he said to her during their argument.
"I'm sorry." He said almost immediately trying his best to make her forgive him. Edna was no longer upset with him but she just wanted him to feel she was upset because of the way he spoke to her. If he had sounded in a nicer way she wouldn't have been this upset.
"Do we always have to misunderstand each other? To be honest it's draining, most times you fail to understand and I fail to unders you too, then we just get into a misunderstanding." Edna explained how she's tired of them having a misunderstanding almost all the time. Alpha Darrel was calm because she wasn't telling a lie.
"I understand what you're saying and I clearly know my fault, I will try and be better," Alpha Darrel said to her, assuring that there will be less or no misunderstanding between both of them for a long time.
Edna stared at him without saying anything but she couldn't hide the grin that was getting very obvious in her face.
"It's fine." She said to him and stood up to give him a hug. Alpha Darrel was very happy to see that she had forgiven him, he never imagined their misunderstanding would get this far in the first place.
While they were hugging each other Lily sighted both of them when she was about to go meet Edna on the sitting room but she were back to her room trying not to disturb their moment.
Lily has been having a serious mental breakdown for the past few days though she has been masking it very well with a smile on her face.
She has been trying to reach Albert on the phone but he wasn't picking her calls, she thought of giving up several times but she just couldn't help but call him.
"I feel sick." She muttered and laid on the bed, she really wanted to open up to Edna this time but seeing her with Alpha Darrell She couldn't disturb them so she returned to the room, she was feeling worse because she hasn't told anyone how she really feels, she's been trying to mask it with fake smiles so Edna doesn't worry too much about her.
"Maybe I'm being punished by the moon goddess, he's supposed to be my fated mate but he doesn't even care about me," Lily muttered angrily, she was slowly getting over him each day that passes but she wanted to hear his voice just one time so she can be sure of how she's really feeling.
She suddenly remembered their moments together and sat up. "Stop it Lily." She said to herself several times while hitting her hand on her head so she stops honking shout her moments with Albert.
"Are you okay Lily?" She paused what she was doing the moment she heard Edna's voice.
