Edna pov

　　"I..I didn't mean it that way, I was only.,"

　　"It's fine Lilian, you know it's okay to wish but the moment you start wishing for what you can never get that's when the problem happens." Lilian blinked her eyes several times like she was about to cry when she heard what Alpha Darrel said to her.

　　"I don't understand what you're trying to say." She said to him and took some steps back while he was moving closer to her.

　　"I know very well how you feel about me, and I have known for a long time, when you wrote that not to me and said it was Edna that sent you." I was shocked to hear what he said because he never told me about it.

　　"So why did you not accept my feelings?" Lilian asked Darrel, from the way she was talking I could tell she genuinely loved him but nothing can change from here, I have stolen his heart and there's no way he would love both of us.

　　"Because I saw you as a friend, I never had feelings for you and will never develop any." Tears welled down Lilian eyes, this is the hurtful truth she has been hoping not to hear and finally she was hearing it from him with Edna by his side.

　　"Why? What does she have that I don't? Why do you love her and can't love me?" Is there anything wrong with me?" Lilian asked with tears welling down her eyes. It was such an embarrassing sight and I was embarrassed on her behalf, I never knew she had such strong feelings towards him that she's even crying just because he said he can't love her back.

　　"You are not Edna." Lilian chuckled and wiped her tears away, she scoffed and turned to look at both of us. "This is so embarrassing." She said almost in a whisper as she was laughing.

　　"Seriously? I am not Edna?" She asked to confirm if she heard him correctly. Darrel nodded his head confirming that he knew what he was saying when he said that.

　　"Maybe if you had tried to give my feelings towards you a consideration you would have known if I am anything like Edna." Lilian said. She was slowly beginning to sound stupid, I can't believe what I just heard her say.

　　"Lilian that's enough, you are embarrassing yourself right now." I said to her calmly so that she can stop what she was doing.

　　"Watch and see, I will make sure you end up regretting what you said to me today, I will make sure you pay for wasting my feelings towards you because of her." Lilian said angrily and walked away. The moment she walked away I turned to look at Darrell, I can't believe she just spoke to an Alpha in that manner.

　　"She must have really lost it." I said to Alpha Darrel and he nodded his head agreeing with me. Darrel and I headed towards the dinning. I almost forgot that we had a misunderstanding last night, the talk with Lilian really made me forgive him just like that.

　　"You look really healthy today." Darrel said to me. It was a lovely sight that I am now better after the food poisoning, I suddenly remembered the loss of my baby again, I can't believe she went to such lengths just to hurt me.

　　"I'm done with my meds, I can now eat whatever." I said to him excitedly. So much gas happened that I no longer know how to stay made for too long because I never know what would happen within the next few hours. I turned to look at Darrel.

　　"So where do we start from with your investigation?" Alpha Darrel asked looking really concerned, I was wondering how he knew I had plans of investigating the issue.

　　"Don't be surprised, I know you too well to know that you are definitely going to find out the truth about what happened with your mom and Luna Becky in the past." Darrel said to me and I let out a bright smile. There's really nothing I can hide from him at this point.

　　"First I have to find out what killed her and then I will find out if she really had an affair with your dad." I said to him and he nodded his head.

　　"Let me be your private agent, we would do it together." He said to me with a bright smile on his face, I would need his help so there was no point pretending not to need it.

　　"Welcome on Board agent Darrell." I said to him and stretched my hand for a handshake, we both laughed after shaking hands.

　　While we were at it we sighted Lilian carrying her luggage downstairs, we both turned to look at her and stood up from the dining area, I never knew she was planning to leave after saying such horrible things.

　　"Where would you go?" I asked her, even though we were no longer as cool as we used to be, I know very well that she was an orphan so there's no way she would have a place to stay when she leaves here.

　　"Why do you care?" She asked angrily and turned to look at Alpha Darrell, it looked like she was waiting for him to stop her from leaving because he was standing on her way.

　　He shifted giving her the free passage to leave the house. Luna Becky was quite disappointed because she was slowly genuinely liking Lilian, she thought Lilian reminded her too much of her younger self. She clicked her tongue and walked back inside her room.

　　Lilian heard out of the house without saying any more words.

　　"Watch your back," She whispered to Edna while she was walking away. Edna placed her hand on her chest a little concerned because of the way Lilian said it to her.

　　She knew that Lilian was not making an empty threat because of the look she had on her face.

　　Writer's pov

　　Darrel was also surprised because he knew very well that got that what was going on is very different from what he had now say to him few hours ago.

　　"Yesterday evening few hours before she might have driven out of the house we had a conversation and I explained to her how and why I want us to settle our misunderstanding we call it out and that was all she never said anything about stepping out which is why I was surprised which is why I was surprised to know that she stepped out of the house few hours after we spoke." Becky explained to the commissioner the commissioner nodded his head after listening to everything that Becky had said to him.

　　Darrell quietly listened and realized Edna was not lying when she said they settled their differences.

　　After some hours the commissioner was done asking both of them questions so he stood and prepared to take his leave. The moment is stood up he shakes hands with Darrel and walked out of the house.

　　Daniel followed him outside immediately and curiously he had a question that was Lingering in his head and he needed answers to the question that is the only way he would feel at peace.

　　The commissioner turn back when he noticed that real was rushing to catch up with him.

　　"Commissioner, thank you very much for coming. I really appreciate your loyalty towards me and I will make sure to pay you back very soon." Darrel said to the commissioner with a faint smile on his face the commissioner smiled back and was about to leave when Darrell called him back.

　　"While you were asking my mom some questions, did you notice anything strange because I could tell you kept asking her so many questions?" The commissioner was surprised to hear the question that Darrel asked him; he was wondering why Darrell would ask such a question.

　　"I was only curious because there were some questions I thought I should ask her." The commissioner said to Darrell.

　　The commissioner did not just ask her questions because he felt he needed to, he asked her those questions because he felt she was the only one that would answer because she has the answers he knew very well that Becky was not as genuine as she knows and she might have a hand in what is wrong with Edna.

　　Darrell bidded goodbye to the commissioner and headed back into the house. When he got back into the house Becky was no longer in the sitting room Darrel heated so much that he was suspecting his mother. He knew that it was wrong for him to feel this way but she gave him reasons to feel that way.

　　He sat on the couch rested inside on the chair tiredly.

　　Maybe if she had a good relationship with Edna he wouldn't be feeling this way. Darrell stood up almost immediately and headed out of the house he needed to clear his mind and his head over with a few drinks at his favorite bar.

　　When he was driving there he suddenly couldn't drive anymore he stopped the car on the highway and worked out of the car it felt like he was losing his mind the fact that there was still no news and the police was yet to get into serious action was driving him even more crazy.

　　Darrel placed his hand on his head. He was wondering if she will be safe when she is. If only you could hear her voice he would feel a little at his. Just there he heard his phone ring, Darrell picked the call immediately and shockingly it was a call he really needed.

　　He was wondering why they suddenly called him. Maybe they knew he was desperate to hear her voice.

　　"What do you want?" Alpha Darrel asked the kidnapper over the phone the kidnapper didn't say anything instead it was Edna's voice he had Darrel rushed back into his car so that he could speak with her very well from the way she was talking he could tell she was still safe but he didn't know how long it would last he wanted to see her so bad and hug her and he loved again because she has been to so much in the past few days.

　　"Where are you and how did you get kidnapped?" Darrel asked worried.

　　He knew that there is no way she would be very okay but at least he wanted to know that they haven't done anything to hurt her and he was ready to ask them what they want in order to let her go.

　　But judging from the way they gave her the phone immediately he would already tell that they were not interested in getting anything from him, they were more after Edna which made it obvious that they were paid for the operation.

　　Edna could only say few words to him before the call was ended Darrel hit his car steering angrily several times as he was frustrated.

　　He was wondering how she will be doing and how how she would be there he wondered his they were treating her well especially with the way the ended the call and really if they were paid for the operation then what are they after do they want to kill her or they just want to punish her those were the question to kept asking himself.

　　Darrel had so much questions that he needed answers to but no one to give him answers to his questions he buried his question since in his mind and sobbed badly because there was little or nothing he could do to help even though he had all the power he's still has been unable to do anything to save his woman.

　　Darrel couldn't help but worry there was so much going on in his head that he couldn't even sit at a place for a long
