Valerie
Gina growled and ran out, towards a vehicle. Before I knew it, Xavier had disappeared from my side as he zoomed out of the door and stood in Gina’s way. His eyes turned a bright golden color and he looked so frightening.
“You’re going nowhere!” He growled at her and Gina seemed frozen in place, her gaze locked onto Xavier’s.
He was controlling her with his Alpha’s order. Some called it Alpha’s Aura.
If she was really filled with determination; the determination to escape, he would not be able to hold her for so long.
And if she broke free, she might escape as I don’t think Xavier would be so willing to hurt her.
I glanced at Nathan and he looked so hurt from the powerful kick she gave him.
I quickly looked around and I looked at the silver railing of a window. I zoomed towards the window and grabbed the railing, yanking it out with vampire strength.
I zoomed out of the door and as Gina remained frozen, I put her both hands behind her and wrapped the silver metal around her hands.
At that moment, she brike free and she tried to struggle, but the silver bit into her skin and restricted her.
She turned around to face me and three her leg to kick me, but I grabbed her leg and flipped her over in the hair.
Just as she landed on the floor, I threw a punch in her face and she went unconscious immediately, falling into Xavier’s hand.
Bitch.
I walked back into the building, and looked at my bleeding palms as they slowly hesled themselves back up. Jenna whose hand was her neck since finally took her hand away and I gasped as I saw the deep cut in her neck and the blood flowing out of it.
Her eyelids slowly closed and she slowly fell to the ground, but Nathan ran forward and caught her as she went unconscious.
I walked out of the bathroom as I finished drying my hair and I wrapped my towel around my body.
I walked to my closet and picked a blue dress, putting it on and packing my hair into a pony tail.
I walked out of the room and closed the door. As I stepped out, Xavier’s door next to mine also opened and be stepped out of the room.
Our gaze met each other and we stared at each other for a while before I suddenly changed my expression to a sassy, I-told-you-so expression and I walked past him.
“Valerie, I’m sorry,” his voice ehoed behind me, but I kept walking, ignoring him. I soon began to hear his footsteps as he ran after me.
“I just didn’t ever think that she could do such a thing,” he continued and I suddenly stopped walking, turning around.
He suddenly stopped running as he nearly collided into me and our noses were touching. I swallowed and moved backward.
“And you couldn’t just try to find out the truth?” I asked and he sighed, placing his palms on his waist.
“She’s been my friend for a long time. Who would have thought that she would betray me,” he said and I scoffed, shaking my head.
“I did.” I retorted, “I did, but when I told you, you made me sound like a nagging, jealous girlfriend.” I stared defiantly into his eyes.
“Valerie-“ He started, but I stopped him by raising my hand and before he could talk again, I turned around and walked away.
I heard him sigh and a few seconds later, the sound of his footsteps gradually disappeared.
I soon arrived at the healer’s dorm and I walked in.
I looked up and saw Nathan seating by a bed. He was blocking my view of the bed, but I was sure that was Jenna’s bed.
I walked towards the bed and glanced at Raphael who was attending to another patient and I nodded at him.
“Hi.” I waved at him and he smiled.
“How are you now?” He asked and inspected the eyes of his patient. I wondered what happened to this one.
Vampires? Rogues?
“I’m fine. Thank you.” I nodded and walked past him, going to Jenna’s bed.
“You outdid yourself. She could have killed you,” I heard Nathan say and grab Jenna’s hand.
“I’m alive and we caught her,” Jenna smiled and she looked at me and I reached them.
“How’s your neck?” I asked and she smiled.
“It’s fine.” She replied and Nathan face me.
“I had to go look for drugs in the city. Tell her not to do something so dangerous next time,” Nathan said and I chuckled.
“But that’s exactly why I’ve been training,” Jenna said and I chuckled.
“Yeah. That was a pretty badass kick you gave her,” I said and Nathan sighed, rolling his eyes. He suddenly stopped moving as if he was listening to something and he nodded before facing us.
“There’s a pack meeting at the hall and Xavier wants everyone to be there,” Nathan said and I folded my arms across my chest.
Nathan stood up and gave me a look that said Xavier wanted me too to be there. Jenna was about to stand up, but he faced her and held her hand.
“No, not you. You need to rest,” he said, but Jenna protested and shook his hand off.
“No, it’s just my neck. My legs are fine,” She said and climbed down from the bed.
“Fine.” Nathan gave up and walked towards Raphael, the two of them discussing as they walked.
I glanced at Jenna by my side and gave her a teasing smile.
“So, Nathan. Hungh?” I said in a low voice and nodded in Nathan’ direction.
I smiled as I saw color fill Jenna’s cheek and winked at me.
“You always get the guy,” I chuckled, but she quickly shushed me up, pointing her hands to her year and mouthing, “enhanced hearing.”
We continued walking for a while before finally arriving at the hall’s entrance. I stopped by the entrance and swallowed nervously. I could smell every single wolf in the room and that made me feel unsafe.
I was a Vampire and I should never be among so many Werewolves.
I swallowed and summoned up courage before walking into the hall. The instant I stepped in, every one, male and female alike turned around to face me.
