Valerie.
*The frown on my face came back up as I spotted the hand bag sitting on my couch. Before I could regard it, a familiar voice hit my ears and I looked up the stairs to see Becca climb down with a wide smile on her face.
“Nol!” She caressed her long black hair packed into a neat ponytail, her attached eyelashes batting too many times.
“I didn’t know you’ll be back so soon,” I said with a cold expression, but Becca, she doesn’t seem to get moved or get the message.
“Awwn. You missed me so much.” She flipped her hair backward with a smile.
“Paris Fashion Week was fun, but I figured you’d be alone.” She said, her eyelashes moving too many times.
“Hmn.” I nodded indifferently.
“So, I need some money to buy some new hair,” she said with a demanding expression and I scoffed.
“What about the credit card I gave you last week, don’t tell me you exhausted it.” I sighed.
“I did. Paris fashion week was crazy and I couldn’t let Jasmine out shop me.” She rolled her eyes, but I was sure she didn’t expect the next words that came out of my mouth.
“Take your bag and get out of my house,” I said, putting my hands in my pocket.
She looked stunned for a bit before her lips curled up into a wide grin.
“You must be in a good mood today to be making a joke.” She teased with an annoying Grin.
The opposite actually, all thanks to Eve.
“I said get out of my house!” I yelled this time and she flinched backward. The grin on her face disappeared as she realized I was serious.
“Nol-“ She started, but I didn’t let her finish, “I’ll call the guards on you. Get the hell out now!”
She hesitated as she went to pick her bag and I continued shouting.
“Becca, get out!” I yelled and she suddenly looked enraged.
“It’s not Becca you idiot! It’s Rebekah!” She yelled as she struggled to adjust in her heels.
“I’ll get you for this Nol!” She yelled as she got to the door and I scoffed.
“It’s Nolan!” I shouted and hissed.
Perfect thrashing. Good job Nolan.*
I looked over my shoulder at Jenna who was reading a novel I had borrowed her.
She came to my room so early in the morning and told me that she had a nightmare. She said she wanted to stay here because she felt scared.
That was unlike Jenna, but I definitely cannot refuse so I gave her a novel to help her pass time.
I wanted to return to the book I was reading, but I stopped as I noticed something was off about her. She looked very uneasy and she didn’t look like she was reading the novel in her hand. It felt like she was just staring at the pages. She looked up for a while and saw me looking at her.
“I’ll be back, I have to pick up something in the training room,” she said and dropped the book on the bed.
I nodded and watched as she walked out. What was it?
Did she have a fight with Nathan?
I shrugged, deciding to forget about it and I looked back at the book I was reading.
I shut the novel I was reading and glanced at the wall clock. It had been long since Jenna left and she hadn’t come back..
Maybe she finally got better and decided to stay at the training room as usual.
I stood up and stretched my arms before walking to the windows and opening the window blinds to let light in.
I removed the pin in my hair, letting my hair fall to my shoulders as I prepared to go have my bath.
I was about to unzip my dress, but I stopped as I felt something strange.
I honed my hearing abilities and my senses.
Strange. I couldn’t hear any sound, or sense any presence. If people were in the building, performing activities, I should be able to sense things.
I took my hand away from my zip and adjusted my legs in my sandal before walking towards the door.
I opened the door and walked out, glancing at both sides of the corridor before locking my door.
Still the same thing. I couldn’t sense anything.
I glanced at Xavier’s door and walked towards it, knocking on it. There was no reply so I grabbed the door knob and tried to open the door, but It was locked.
What’s happening?
I decided to check the training room as it was always busy. On my way to the training room, I still couldn’t sense anybody and I expected to be hearing grunts and groans coming from the training room.
Getting there, I looked in and frowned as I saw that it was empty.
I walked back again and on the way, I stopped by Jenna’s room. She said she wanted to pick something at the training room. Maybe she returned to her room.
I knocked on the door and once again, there was no reply. The door was also locked.
I glanced at the entrance door to the building and hesitated for a while before walking towards it.
I opened the door and stepped out, glancing around. I noticed that all the cars usually parked in front of the building were all gone.
Wait. Did everyone go somewhere without me?
I looked over my shoulder as I felt a presence all of a sudden.
Who was it? That’s the first person, I’ll be sensing.
“Who’s there?” I asked and my voice echoed down the corridor. I got no reply and I walked back inside, closing the door.
I thought I sensed someone.
I looked at the corridor on my left and before I knew it, a uniformed man was rushing towards me.
My eyes darted to his hand and I saw the bottle spray of holy water and the silver club in his hand. My instincts kicked in immediately and before he could reach me, I zoomed out of the way.
