　　There was total in the jet as we flew to Lycian’s island. I glanced at him and he also happened to face me at the same time. Our eyes met and I looked away.

　　We explained everything that happened to him and how Nathan had told us to come here.

　　He didn’t look happy to hear that Nathan was left behind. I also felt bad about this.

　　Nathan and every other member of the Moon Edge Pack were not supposed to be going through this. It was all my fault. They probably had nothing to worry about and all lived peacefully until I came into the picture.

　　I looked out the window and saw that the jet was descending. The small looking island slowly got bigger and bigger as we flew lower to the ground. The jet finally landed on the ground and after a while, the door was opened.

　　I faced Jenna and watched Xander help her out. As I climbed down, I saw two men walk towards us.

　　Lycian walked towards them and he nodded at them as they greeted him.

　　“She’s injured, you to carry her to the med bay,” Lycian instructed and they nodded as he walked past them.

　　They walked towards us and they paused for a while to look at me before past me and going to take Jenna from Xander.

　　Of course, I was a Vampire and all the hate would repeat itself. Maybe I was just being paranoid though, those men only looked surprise, I didn’t see any hate in their eyes.

　　They walked past me carrying Jenna and I felt Xander place place his hand on my shoulder. I looked sideway at him and he gave me a reassuring smile before we both followed them.

　　The island was beautiful and there were beautiful trees among all the modern houses.

　　Three were two cars parked a distance away from the jet and the men carrying Jenna put her in one of the cars before driving away.

　　Xander and I joined Lycian in the second car and the driver started the car, driving the car.

　　In about 10 minutes, the car came to a halt and Xander opened the door, climbing down. I did the same and look at the mansion before me. It was as big as the one back at the Moon Edge Pack, but the architecture was way better.

　　I looked at the car Jenna was in drive towards the building next to the mansion and stop.

　　“She’ll be fine,” Lycian said and I faced him.

　　“I’ll have someone take you to your rooms so you can rest,” He continued and I nodded.

　　It was early in the morning already and the sun was just coming out of the clouds.

　　I took one last glance at the side and the men helped Jenna into the building before I walked into the mansion.

　　As we walked in, a man walked towards us and greeted Lycian with a nod, “Welcome Mr. Hale.”

　　“Thank you. Alfred, these are my guests and I want you to show them to their room,” Lycian said and Alfred nodded, stepping aside for Lycian to walk by.

　　“Welcome, I’m Alfred,” Alfred introduced himself with a smile and I smiled back at him.

　　“I’m Valerie,” I said and received the hand he stretched out to me into a handshake.

　　I could sense that he was a Vampire. That might explain why no body seemed to care about my presence. How many more Vampires were here?

　　Xander introduced himself and we followed Alfred as he showed us around the mansion.

　　He finally stopped on a corridor and pointed at two rooms.

　　“These are your rooms, if you need anything, I’ll be in my room and Mr. Hale’s room is just down the corridor,” Alfred said and pointed at a room down the corridor.

　　We exchanged nods and he walked away.

　　“Have some rest, we’ll see later,” Xander said with an assuring smile and I returned it with a bleak smile before grabbing the door knob of the door before me and opening it.

　　I glanced at Xander one last time before walking into the room and closing the door. I stretched my neck and my shoulders. I was tired.

　　I walked to the bed and threw myself on it.

　　I stirred out of sleep and slowly opened my eyes. I yawned loudly and stretched myself on the bed. I climbed down from the bed and got into my sleepers, I looked at the wall clock on the wall and it was 1:38 am in the morning.

　　I needed to take a bath. I glanced at a door at the left wall and I walked towards it, opening it. Just as I guessed, it was the bathroom. I closed the door and walked to the closet in the room. I opened it and found some neat towels folded in the closet.

　　I grabbed a towel and dropped it on the bed before starting to take off my clothes. I went on to take my bath and I walked out of the bathroom with the towel wrapped around me.

　　I went back to the closet after brushing my hair and picked a blue dress. Everything in the closet was too elegant and there was no simple cloth or jean.

　　The blue dress was the most simple one and I put in on before wearing a sandal.

　　I decided to go see Jenna at the med bay and I walked out of the room. I glanced at both sides of the corridor before walking in the direction Alfred had brought us through this morning.

　　I greeted those I came across on the way with a nod and they responded equally.

　　I looked up as I saw Xander and Lycian standing by the door and I walked towards them.

　　They faced me as they saw me approach and they smiled at me. I smiled back and looked at the both of them inquiringly.

　　“Valerie, Lycian had his men investigate what happened after we left,” Xander explained and I faced him curiously.

　　“Nathan is okay, but he was arrested by Nexus Services,” Xander continued and I sighed in frustration. Of course, they most have arrested him and moved him to one of those crazy facilities.

　　Those crazy bastards.
