　　“Yes.” I nodded, “I have a meeting with a client, so I’ll come back in the afternoon,” I said and he nodded.

　　I walked past him and was about to open an elevator when Jax talked.

　　“Jenna, what are you up to?”

　　I stopped walking and turned around to face him.

　　“Jax, what do you mean?” I asked.

　　“It’s been long I heard Nico talk about you or see you with him,” Jax said and I tried to hide the uneasiness in my eyes..

　　“You’ve come here only twice and he’s never around when you come,” He continued.

　　Well, the first one was targeted, but this one was a coincidence and a risk. I quickly chuckled, trying to laugh it off.

　　“Jax, are you saying I’m avoiding Nico?” I asked, chuckling. He didn’t look any convinced.

　　“No, I’m asking why you’re really coming here?” He said and the smile on my face disappeared.

　　“The other day you came here, you asked me to help you get somethings, but I later fo ofund it in the thrash after you left,” He added and I chuckled.

　　“Oh. I….I didn’t want to disturb you on that day, but I don’t use that particular brand you bought,” I lied trying to convince him and at the same time, wanting to get out of here before Nico arrives, “It causes irritations!”

　　Jax remained silent for a while and I prayed within me that he would let me go.

　　“I hope you’re saying the truth.” Jax nodded, “go ahead.” He said and walked into his office. I sighed in relief and walked into the elevator.

　　As soon as I stepped out of the building, I walked towards my car and got in. I ingnited tahe engine and drove off, not sure of where I was going.

　　I couldn’t just go back to the hotel. Not like that. I needed find where Nathan was exactly. Nexus Services had advert facilities and I wasn’t even sure how I’ll be able to break into only one.

　　How come non of those files were on Nico’s computer. Uuuurgh, I groaned internally and quickly avoided colliding with a car.

　　What if Nico didn’t have these information on his work computer because it was information that was very classified.

　　He must definitely have access to information Jax has and it’s not on his work computer, he had to have it somewhere that’ll be hard to access by others.

　　His house!

　　I suddenly drifted to the left as I changed my destination. I needed to go to Nico’s house and get access to his computer.

　　His house was only a 10 minutes drive away from the office and I remembered the place so well.

　　I looked at the time and it was already past nine. I want to make the most of today and get a lot done on time.

　　After finding Nathan location, I have to handle finding out how to break into the facility.

　　I soon got to Nico’s mansion and I slowly pulled up some metres away from the house. I turned off the engine, and grabbed my handbag, taking out the keys and climbing down from the car.

　　I took a glance at the building and closed the door before walking towards the building with a wavering confident smile.

　　Sure, the staffs in his mansion still recognize me, but it’s been long I came here.

　　I walked to the gate and the guards there looked at me in recognition.

　　I smiled at them and one of them stepped forward towards me.

　　“Miss. Lake, Mr. Russo is not around,” he said and I smiled like I knew and came anyway.

　　“Yeah, I’m supposed to wait here for him,” I said with a smile, “my car broke down on the way here, so I think I’ll be staying overnight.” I smiled and he nodded.

　　I smiled as he opened the gate and I walked into the compound. I took a quick glance around and I saw that it hasn’t changed at all. I held on tighter to my handbag and walked into the building.

　　The maids in the house greeted with a nod as I walked in and I regarded them with a nod before climbing up the stairs.

　　I looked around to make sure that nobody was in sight. I quickly stole towards Nico’s room and was close to his room when someone talked behind me.

　　“Miss. Lake,” I turned around to see Nico’s butler, Kyler.

　　“Hey Kyler,” I smiled trying my best not to look nervous.

　　“It’s been long I’ve seen you here,” Kyler said with a light smile and I pretended to be my usual self absorbed self as I kept flashing my eyelashes and twirling my hair with my fingers.

　　“Oh yes, after the vacation with Nico in Miami, I went for a long trip to Paris,” I said with a wide smile.

　　“I came back yesterday evening and called Nico immediately. He’s at work now, but I’m to wait for him till he comes back,” I lied.

　　“Okay, I thought you and Mr. Russo had ended things,” Kyler said and I brushed it off with a smile.

　　“Oh Kyler, you’re funny. Anyway, I’m tired right now and I need to rest,” I said and twisted my neck to both sides, pretending I was really tired..

　　“Yes, you can go to your old room, I’ll have the maids make you something to eat,” he suggested.

　　“Thank you.” I said and walked past Nico’s room. I grabbed the door knob of my old room and opened the door, watching as Kyler walked away.

　　I waited by the door shortly before gently opening the door again and I walked back to Nico room. I looked at both sides of the corridor to make sure no one was looking before grabbing the door knob of Nico’s room.

　　I slowly turned it and was about to open the door when I felt an heavy force on my head.

　　I groaned in pain and let go of the door knob. The person hit me on the head again and I groaned as I fought the darkness overcoming my eyes.

　　I was hit the third time and the last thing I heard before going unconscious was ‘Bitch’
