Valerie.
I stirred out of sleep and opened my eyes slowly. I looked around and I saw that I was lying on a bed in a cold dark room. I sat up on the bed and looked around I’m confusion.
I climbed down from the bed and as soon as my feets touched the ground, the room I was in faded into a large, open meadow.
The sun was shining and there were no clouds in the sky.
The smell of freshly cut grass drifted across the meadow with the clippings scattered over the turf. The branches of the giant oak tree swayed to and fro in the wind, shaking the leaves, so they fell like raindrops, their green color fading and replaced by patches of brown.
The meadow was spacious, with a collection of trees and bushes guarding the perimeter.
I noticed a swift movement behind me and I quickly turned around, but there was no one there.
I felt a shiver in my skin as fear crawled beneath it and I folded my arms against each other, rubbing it.
Where was I and what the hell was happening? How did I get here?
“Valerie.” I heard a voice call me and I turned around. There was a bright blinding blue light up ahead and I raised my hands to my eyes to protect my eyes from the bright light.
I slowly walked towards it out of curiosity and the light slowly dimmed, revealing a figure.
“Mom,” I muttered as I saw my mom appear out of the light. What’s happening here? My mom was dead.
“Valerie,” she said, walking towards me with a light smile.
“H…How…….. how are you here?” I asked out of curiosity. I don’t understand what was happening and that curiosity and feeling of ignorance was taking the place of the happiness I should be feeling right now for seeing my mom.
“Valerie, don’t forget what I told you,” she said and I tucked a strand of my hair that blocked my face behind my hair.
I still remembered what she told me when she was dying. She wanted me to find a man called Magnus.
“Yes mom,” I affirmed with a nod.
“But I need an explanation. Who is Magnus? Why do you want me to find him? And wherr can I find him?” I asked, hoping that she’d give me the answers to my questions.
“And where am I?” I asked, taking a look around and rubbed my arms together. I couldn’t help the eerie feeling and fear crawling beneath my skin.
“You can find Magnus on Earth of the second plane,” she said and I stared at her with wide open eyes.
Plane? Earth? Another Earth?
“Mom-“
She interrupted me and held my hand, “and Valerie, you need to protect your child. You need to protect Draco,” she said with pleading eyes.
My child? Draco?
I saw a dep fog appear behind her with the bright blue light shining from within it.
“Mom, what are you saying? I don’t-“
She interrupted me again, “Valerie you are a-“
Suddenly the fog began to pull her towards it and I held on to her hand.
“Mom. Mom!” I shouted as she pushed my hand away and let herself get sucked into the fog.
I looked up as dark and heavy clouds filled the sky, covering the sun completely.
A huge gust of wind began to form and slowly accumulated into a tornado.
I began to move backward as the tornado headed my way. I tried to run with my Vampire speed, but I didn’t have my powers.
I covered my face with my palm as the tornado whirled at me.
*
I gasped and jerked up. I panted heavily and saw that I was lying on a bed in a room in the same dark room as before, but I was not the only one here this time.
There were Witches and a few Wizards standing at the corners of the room.
I thought Witches couldn’t practice magic here again.
There were candles surrounding the bed I was lying on and all of these Magicians were all quietly chanting magical words I didn’t understand.
Magicians didn’t usually do all of these: candles and chants. They just had to cast a spell by thinking of it and throwing their hands.
Why all this traditional things and why was I abducted.
I was not restricted to the bed by chains so I tried to climb down from the bed and I groaned as an invisible force held me in place.
I grunted and gave up, lying on the bed and breathing heavily. I tried again and groaned as I tried to stand up, but the invisible force held on to me.
I saw a Witch come forward and look at me, specifically, at my stomach.
She was a middle ages woman with a long red hair and bright blue eyes.
She grabbed a candle and rotated it over my stomach, chanting silently.
“What am I doing here? Why did you abduct me?!” I shouted, hoping that someone would just give me answers so I can know what I put myself into.
The Witch looked at my face and remained silent for a while.
“You’re not here because of you, you’re here because of the baby in your womb,” she replied and I mouthed a surprised, “what?”
I looked at my stomach and glanced back at the Witch. She gave me a affirmative nod and I left my mouth open in surprise.
My mom also talked about my child in the dream. Oh My God. I’m pregnant.
Wait. Then what the hell did they want with my baby.
“What do you want with my baby?” I asked, gritting my teeth.
“You don’t know what your child is,” the Witch said and I stared at her curiously.
“Your child is dangerous and he will be the end of us all,” the Witch said and I scoffed.
Was she crazy? He was just an unborn child!
“I don’t know what vision or prophecy you got, but you can’t point fingers at an unborn child,” I hollered at them.
“And he will remain that way. He will die in your womb,” The Witch replied and I gritted my teeth. I groaned as I struggled to get up again and I became more violent this time, throwing my legs and arms.
“Be still,” the Witch said and I gasped as I forcefully calmed down against my wish.
“We won’t allow an imbalance. We won’t let you bring that abomination into this world.”
