　　I walked towards one shelf and pulled out a file, looking through it. It contained the name of every inmate that had ever passed through here.

　　Wouldn’t do a thing, I thought and dropped the file on the floor. I took out another file and as I went through it, I looked sideways as I heard strange sounds at the other side of the door.

　　The door opened and the file fell from my hand as I saw Bale standing there with about 20 guards behind him and they were all holding huge silver ray guns.

　　How….How? Nathan compelled him.

　　He smiled wickedly and glanced at the six of us one after the other.

　　“Well, well, well.” His lips curled up into a wicked smile as his face finally landed on him.

　　“No need to be all surprised,” he said with an icy voice and I glared at him. Nexus Services must have found a way to protect himself against compulsion and he only pretended like he was under the influence so we wouldn’t attack him and so he could bring reinforcement.

　　“It was just an insurance I tapped into.” He chuckled and we all stood at alert, preparing to attack.

　　“Don’t be so quick to attack cause you’re not leaving this place either way.” He shook his hand.

　　He gave a nod signal to one of the guards standing behind him and the guard walked to the corner of the room where they were.

　　There was a huge red lever there and I didn’t have an idea of what that would do if they activated it.

　　The guard grabbed the Lever and pulled it down. That instant, I felt the supernatural force leave me.

　　Bloody Hell. Another EMP device.

　　I glanced at the others behind me and judging by the look on their faces, they had also lost their powers.

　　“Take them,” Bale said and the guards strapped their silver ray guns to their sides. Since we had become normal humans, the silver rays wouldn’t affect us.

　　We were six men used to fighting with powers against 20 men who had all undergone thorough training in fighting normally.

　　Could the odds get any worse?

　　I raised my clenched fists in front, my left fist raised higher than the other and the right fist in front of my face.

　　I grunted as I threw a punch at the guard in front of me and he raised his arm to protect his face. I tried throwing another punch at him, but he bent sideways and planted a kick in my side.

　　I grabbed my side with a groan and I almost lost balance.

　　Everyone else was fighting someone.

　　Before I could regain balance, another guard kicked my leg from behind and my knees gave way, causing me to forcefully kneel to the ground.

　　The guard before me threw a punch in my face, and punched me again almost immediately.

　　I groaned and touched my hurting face, feeling the liquid on my lips. I looked at the blood on my finger and muttered a curse beneath my breath.

　　I was fucking bleeding.

　　I glanced at Bale standing with his arms at his back and watching all of us fight with a wide grin on his face. He was a psychopath.

　　I groaned as I stood up on my feet. I grunted and tried to kick the guard standing before me. He moved backward with a tease.

　　“Not so tough without your powers, hungh?” A third guard chuckled and threw a punch in my chin.

　　My face forcefully faced the other side and blood spurted out of my mouth as I groaned.

　　Facing the other side, another guard threw a punch at my left chin and my heard forcefully turned again. I spotted Elijah rush towards the lever at the corner of the room and a guard tried to stop him.

　　He shouted as he threw a heavy punch at the guard and I watched the guard stumble backward.

　　Before someone else could stop Elijah, he grabbed the lever and pulled it up.

　　I immediately felt my powers return and before the guards could pull up their silver ray guns, I moved as fast as I could go l and hit every single one of them close to me.

　　The others did the same and in thirty seconds, all the guards in the room were lying unconsciously on the ground.

　　I spat on the ground, my saliva colored red from the blood. I felt the bruises heal up and I looked up to see Elijah stand before Bale who was looking terrified.

　　Bale slowly moved backward as Elijah kept moving close to him. Elijah raised his hands to grab Bale, but I stopped him.

　　“Wait.” Elijah dropped his hand turned around to face him. If any one deserved to punish Bale it was me.

　　“He tortured me,” I explained and Elijah nodded before stepping aside. I walked towards Bale and stared at him with a threatening glare, my eyes turning red.

　　He shook and took little steps backwards, and I smirked. He flinched as I placed my hand on his shoulder to stop him and he sighed silently as he saw I didn’t attack.

　　“Nobody to protect you now,” I said with a threatening tone. I noticed that the others behind me were already searching through the shelves already.

　　“You…..you… can’t hurt me, Nexus Services will….. will…come after….you,” he stuttered and I chuckled.

　　“Well it’ll shock you to know that Griffin doesn’t give a damn!” I yelled and lifted him up by the neck before smashing his head against the wall. I watched as he went limp and slumped to the ground.

　　If he survived that, he’ll never be himself again.

　　I turned around and saw Dave raise up a file.

　　“I’ve got something,” he said and I walked towards him. Everyone else walked to him and he opened the file for us to see, flipping through the documents.

　　It contained documents of all their illegal abductions and the things they wanted from them. It also had the laboratories they were to and the locations.

　　That was enough proof to bring them down.

　　“Let me see something,” I said and Dvse handed me the file. I flipped through every document and I finally stopped as I spotted Valerie’s name on the last page

　　It had all her info under and her name was tagged, ‘PRIORITY’

　　I quickly read through the information and my eyes widened in surprise as I saw something. I glanced at Nathan and he also looked surprised to see the information.

　　Valerie was a Hybrid. She was half Witch and half Vampire.
