Griffin.
Present Day.
I put on a blank expression as I climbed down the stairs, exiting the white house building. I walked towards my car where my driver was already waiting.
I was just coming from a very disturbing meeting with the president and he ranting about how he was disappointed in me and how they would look into everything I’ve been doing and take necessary actions against me if required.
Stupid old man, I hissed and opened the car’s door, climbing in and dropping my briefcase on the empty seat.
As of now, all the Laboratories and Prisons had been raided and shut down. The prisoners were being directly reviewed by other government officials and those who were innocent or unlawfully imprisoned were sent home. Which was actually the majority of them.
They weren’t innocent. No Supernatural is innocent and they are pests that should be wiped out.
Unless someone takes an action, they’ll infiltrate our society slowly and soon they’ll take over. They could even enslave us.
They couldn’t do this to me. I lost my daughter and wife at the hands of those savages and I won’t stop until I fulfill the promise I made to them.
I would avenge them and see that I wipe out those beasts. I didn’t care if I had to use other beasts to wipe them out as long I could control these ones.
As I’ve said, they cannot outsmart me or defeat me. I always have a backup plan and I take every action with precautions and several think over.
They all thought they had successfully stopped all the activities and shut down all operations, but that was not it. I still had one facility I didn’t register in any document. The first laboratory where experiments began.
“Laboratory 01,” I said to the driver and he nodded before igniting the car’s engine. He drove out of the compound and I looked out the window as he drove through DC.
Tears stung my eyes as I recalled the day everything happened. I felt anger boil inside of me as I remembered seeing the Vampire slash his claws through my little girl’s neck and stabbing Vera in the heart.
The pained look on their faces made my heart ache and I took out an handkerchief from pocket, wiping the tears at the corners of my eyes.
It was so painful to think about it and yet, I kept doing so. The images and everything that happened was so perfectly detailed in my head.
What’s worse was that the Vampire wasn’t even killed or punished for it. They blamed it all on the infection and those that spread the virus, saying that he wasn’t in a right state of mind.
I did everything I could to fight against him and see that he got punished, but he still got away. I struggled my way up the ranks till I became the Senate President, and I didn’t stop looking for that man all these years.
Till today, I haven’t found the man. I don’t even know if he’s alive, but if he is, he would be wiped out along with the rest of the Supernatural race. He would lose his life the same way my wife and my daughter did on that day and if he had a family, he would watch them die too.
I looked up as I saw the driver drive into the compound of the laboratory. He came to a halt in a random position and turned off the car’s engine. I opened the door and grabbed my briefcase, before climbing out of the car and slamming the door shut.
I sighed as I took a look and the building before walking towards it. I regarded the guards at the entrance with a nod and one of them opened the door for me.
I walked into the building and headed straight for Dr. Kealan’s office, the sole of my shoe clicking loudly against the white marble floor.
I walked to Kealan’s office and knocked and grabbed the door knob, trying to open the door. The door was locked so I knocked on the door and waited for a response.
I heard the sound of footsteps coming from inside the office and the door soon clicked open.
“Mr. Stufe,” he said and opened the door wider for me to come in.
“I’ve been waiting for the soldiers to come and raid this place all day, but no one has come here,” he said. He looked afraid.
Probably scared that he would be put in trouble when they found out about his involvement in all of these. He didn’t know everything he should know though.
“Why are our laboratories being closed down, I thought the government approved all of this,” he said and I nodded, walking towards the computer on his desk.
I looked at all the experiment wards and all the inmates being monitored through the security footages.
“I’m not here to waste okay,” I glared at Kealan and he nodded.
“So, is the satellite beacon still connected to the Rippers outside of this facility?” I asked and Kealan walked towards me, looking at the computer screen.
“Yes, any instruction sent through them would affect both the Rippers inside and outside of this laboratory,” he replied and I nodded.
“Good.”
“Okay, I need you to release all this inmates and send an instruction for all rippers to kill every supernatural they detect,” I instructed and Kealan stared at me like he has seen a ghost.
“What?” He asked.
“You heard me. Release them and make every Ripper kill every supernatural they come across,” I repeated myself and went to sit on the chair before the desk, dropping my briefcase on the table.
“No!” Kealan refused and I scoffed.
“We can’t let them go about killing people and moreover, they are not yet stable to start functioning properly,” he added defiantly.
I stood up from my seat, “they are not people. They are beasts!” I yelled, but Dr. Kealan didn’t look like he was ready to change his mind.
“I’m not going to do what you’re asking!” He retorted. I let out a deep breath and sighed calmly.
I picked up briefcase and adjusted my tie. “Fine, I’ll be back concerning this,” I said and Kealan nodded before facing the computer screens.
I glanced at a club lying at the corner of the room and I looked over my shoulder at Kealan who was typing something on the computer.
I went to pick up the club and I walked towards me. He looked away from the computer as he saw me coming towards him and before he could do anything, I hit him on the head with the club.
He fell to the ground immediately, unconscious.
I bent down and entered the instructions into the computer. I looked at the verification device and placed my palm on it.
After verifying my identity, it asked for Kealan’s palm and I bent down, grabbing his hand.
I grunted as I raised him up and I placed his palm on the scanner.
I smiled as the computer verified his identity and I stood up straight, dropping Kealan’s palm.
No one is stopping me now.
