Valerie.
As we walked towards the cars that would take us to the main pack mansion, all I could think of was how things would ha e been different I has discovered I had magical powers.
I would entirely locked my Vampire side and I would have had a normal peaceful life. Maybe I would have moved to Maldoria too. I had been there only once and it was the most peaceful and beautiful place I’ve ever seen.
Everyone took care of the surroundings and you could feel the power of nature in the air.
I was certain that my mom knew something about why I didn’t know I was part Witch or why I have never accidentally used magic for once in my life. I let out a deep breath as I observed the feeling of my own blood.
All I could feel was the Vampire power and heightened sense coursing through my body. I couldn’t find any other form of power or feel any magic in me. I touched my stomach and my mind went to what that Witch said about my baby.
An imbalance in nature. How was he an imbalance in nature. Magicians only used that term when they felt that something was too powerful or invisible and there was no main weakness for them.
What could my baby be.
I looked up and we suddenly stopped walking as a gust of wind began to form in the air before us. The gust of wind became bigger and bigger and gently moved backward, looking away to prevent something from blowing into my eyes.
“Valerie.” I felt Xavier grab my shoulder and I faced me. He made me stay behind him for safety and I watched from where I stood as the gust of wind turned to blue waves that whirled in the air to slowly form a portal.
I watched as two Wizards suddenly stepped out of the portal and we all moved backward, looking at them cautiously.
My eyes darted to the left as I noticed Lycian try to reach into the bag he was holding for something. Spotting him too, one of the Wizards pointed his hand at Lycian and the bag left Lycian’s hand, reappearing in the Wizard’s hand.
“What do you want?” Xavier asked them with a rough, coarse voice. I could already guess what they wanted and I touched my stomach, worrying about what they would do to my baby.
I watched their gazes travel over to me and that confirmed what I had suspected. They weren’t going to give up untill they actually hurt my baby.
“We want to make sure that abomination is never brought into this world,” the other Wizard replied.
Abomination! Would they all just stop calling my baby that. What did an unborn child ever do to them. From where I stood, I could feel the heat of Xavier’s anger rising. My eyes darted to his hands as his claws extended from them.
“Don’t you call my child an abomination!” He sounded so furious and I placed my hand on his shoulder to calm him down.
I took my hands off as I saw one of the Wizard’s hands began to glow and green waves sparked around his fingers. He pointed his hands at Xavier and I moved backward, scared about what spell that could be.
Before he could cast the spell, Xavier growled and slashed his claws at the Wizard. The Wizard appeared to be an illusion for a while as Xavier’s claws passes through him, before he rematerialized.
“Celeste.” The Wizard chanted and I watched as Xavier got flung away as invisible force hit him, a groan escaping his lips as he crashed to the ground.
My heart raced as I looked up at them. Xavier was no longer standing between us and I could feel their heated gazes piercing my skin.
One of them was about to reach out to grab me, but they stopped and looked up. I stared at the purple waves whirling in the air to form a portal and I gritted my teeth in frustration, my right hand still on my stomach.
More Magicians!
A Wizard wearing a hood suddenly jumped down and he blasted the two Wizards away with purple light blasts. He was backing me and I couldn’t see who it was.
The aura I could feel coming off him seemed familiar and I wondered why he was fighting off against the Wizards. I thought all Magicians all worked in unison once they had a set goal.
“Moticus Incidium.” He chanted before the Wizards could react and they suddenly began to glow brightly before disappearing.
What the hell? Who was he.
I watched as he turned around to face us and he slowly took of his hood to clearly reveal his face.
“Uncle Garr!” I and Jordan exclaimed together. He was my mom’s half brother and it had been long since I saw him.
He went to Maldoria even before everything Magician was forced to go there.
He smiled at us and nodded.
“Hello, I’ve missed you two,” he said, facing me and Jordan.
I looked at the side as Xavier stood up from the floor with a grunt.
I was so happy to see him and I had so many questions that I knew he would be able to answer to some extent.
I saw his eyes glance at my stomach and I looked at my stomach too. He knew.
“Miranda told me about your child and that’s why I’m here,” he stated and I nodded of course.
“Do you know why they are all after the baby?” I heard Xavier ask beside me and I nodded in support.
Yes. Why?
“Because they’re afraid of it and what it might do,” he replied, but I still didn’t understand.
“Afraid of it?” I asked.
“You see, several Magicians saw a vision or let’s say a precognition of what Draco would do to the world,” Garr explained and every word he said got me baffled, “your child is supposed to be a Tribrid and he would end all the worlds,” Garr continued.
A Tribrid? Wait. A Tribrid. As in three creatures.
“An part Vampire, part Werewolf, part Wizard, that’s what Draco would be,” he affirmed.
“See, an entire Mage Coven sacrificed themselves to purge earth and make it survivable for Magicians,” Garr stated.
“So trust me when I say they mean this and they would stop at nothing to see that Draco isn’t born into this world.”
