Chapter 95

  Xavier.

I grabbed the door knob of my room and opened the door. I stopped as I looked into the room and saw that my arrangement of the room had been changed.

  Who the hell did this?

I looked at the side as a Werewolf approached. He looked surprised to see me and I stopped him, by raising up my hands.

“What happened to my room? Who used it while I was gone?” I asked.

“It was Alpha Alex. He moved to this room,” he replied.

  What? Alpha Alex?

“Alpha what?” I asked in surprise.

“You heard him right,” a familiar said behind me and I turned around to see Alex.

His lips were called up into a wide smirk.

I suddenly dashed at him and I grabbed his neck, smacking him against the wall and pinning him down.

“You dare to show your face here after betraying us!” I bellowed angrily and my eyes turned a bright golden color.

“No. You dare show your face her after abandoning the pack!” He yelled back at me and growled suddenly pushing me off him. I groaned as I crashed into the opposite wall. I looked sideways as Valerie’s door opened and she stepped out to see what was happening.

She looked surprised to see Alex and to see me sitting on the ground. I grunted as I stood up.

Alex was much more stronger now that he had been accepted as Alpha.

People began to walk towards the corridor and I saw Jenna and Nathan also come to see what was happening.

“You don’t deserve to come back here!” Alex yelled at me and I saw several people begin to nod in support.

“Alex, what are you doing?” Nathan asked, stepping forward.

“Oh, so the two of you want to come back and claim your positions after abandoning the pack in the middle of an attack because a Vampire!” He yelled and pointed at Valerie.

“She doesn’t even deserve to be here!” He said and dashed towards Valerie. Before I move forward and try to stop him, Valerie kicked him him in the abdomen and I watched as Alex crashed against the wall. He didn’t just hit the wall, but the wall crashed down and he landed in the room behind the wall.

What? I looked at Valerie in surprise. How the hell was she so strong?

I watched the pack members and walk towards her, but I quickly went forward to stand before her.

“Don’t you dare!” I threatened angrily and I looked sideways as Alex stood up with a grunt and walked out of the rubbles.

“I didn’t abandon any of you, it was Alex who betrayed us and lied to all of you!” I said and Alex scoffed although he looked like he was in pain. It was still surprising what Valerie did just now.

“I didn’t do any of that just because of Valerie! I did that because of all of you! All of us!” I continued and looked at Alex who was dusting the rubbles on his clothes away.

“Don’t listen to him. He’s just trying to save his face,” Alex said, trying to convince them not to listen to them. I needed to sound more convincing as their loyalty would naturally be to whoever was their Alpha.

I looked at the men standing there and spotted the two people I was looking for.

“You and you,” I pointed at them and everyone faced them..

“Didn’t I send you two to help me spy on Nexus Services?” I asked and they nodded in affirmation.

“And did any of you recently see any video of Rippers attacking supernaturals and humans randomly?” I asked again and they all nodded in confirmation..

“Well, I discovered that Nexus Services was illegally abducting both Werewolves and Vampires and performing experiments on them,” I stated and they all looked surprised..

“They wanted to create those things so that they could wipe all of us out. Valerie was what they needed to complete that plan,” I explained.

“We left with Valerie that day so that they won’t be able to achieve this and so that they’ll stop the attack once she was no longer here,” I said and some of them already began to look convinced.

“As long as she was here, they would have continued to kill every one of you so we left and came back after putting an end to their illegal activities,” I added.

“If you never brought a Vampire here, the attack would have never started in the first place,” Alex retorted loudly with his fingers pointed accusingly at Valerie.

“You don’t deserve to talk because you brought the attack here in the first place,” I said angrily and pointed my fingers at him.

I could hear a surprised, ‘what?’ here and there.

“Nexus made you lead those Rippers here to get Valerie after promising to make you Alpha King,” I accused bluntly and Alex was already looking scared.

“You. You don’t have any proof about this!” He yelled at me and I scoffed, “you’re just saying rubbish to save yourself!” He continued and suddenly looked bold as those watching nodded.

I stared at them in disbelief as they even continued to belief him despite everything I just said.

“I do.” I heard Jenna say and I turned around to face her.

Alex scoffed and chuckled, “an ordinary human like you does not deserve to talk here,” he said, but she ignored him and walked away.

She came back about thirty seconds later, holding her phone.

She walked closer to all of us and I watched when look for something on her phone, scrolling through it.

She finally stopped on something and looked up.

“The other day, I was recording my audio diary before the attack. Listen to this,” she said and played the audio.

At first, it was Jenna’s voice recording things about what happened to her that day.

“Sorry,” she said and skipped all that part.

“Alex, who put you up to this?” I heard my voice from her phone.

“You’re only making things worse by going against Nexus Services,” Alex’s angry and determined voice echoed out next. I glanced at him with a triumphant smile and he looked scared.

  “And what were you promised?”

“I would be able to do what you’re too weak to do, I’ll be able to lead this pack the right way and the rest of Washington werewolves!” Alex yelled.

“Whether you like it or not…” Jenna stopped the audio and everyone looked at Alex.

  “No……no…they are.. lying.” Alex babbled.

“Give it up Alex,” Nathan said, but Alex shook his head.

“No. It’s all because of that Vampire!” He yelled and suddenly pulled out a silver dagger. He rushed at Valerie and before I could stop him, he stabbed Valerie in the stomach.

  “Valerie!!!!”
