Chapter 96

  Jordan’s

I slowly opened my eyes as I regained consciousness. I felt so weak and dizzy. I looked at my hands and saw that they were bound down by silver chains.

I winced in pain as I tried to see how tight the chains were around my hand. I moved my hand to some extent before it bit into my skin as it reached it’s limit.

I looked around and saw that I was in a small dark room. Those bastard Wizards. They really didn’t like to give up.

And when the hell did they begin to chant. Maybe it had something to do with the just purified magical environment.

“Hey.” I looked to the side to see Lycian looking at me. He was sitting on the floor close to me and there were also silver chains strapped around his wrists.

“What do they want?” I asked and he shrugged.

“Well, we’re about to find out,” he said and I looked forward as the door of the room opened. Two Wizards stepped in and closed the door.

They walked towards us and I watched one of them bend down to our eye level.

  “What?” I glared at him.

“We know that the Hybrid escaped from that island,” he said and I scoffed, looking away as his face was too close to me and Lycian’s face in an awkward way.

“You have a smelly breath,” I lied and faked a disgusted expression, hoping to get him to move back a bit.

It seemed to work perfectly as he moved back and breathed into his palm.

I pressed my lips into a tight line as I tried to stifle a laughter. I faced Lycian and he also looked like he was going to burst into laughter any minute.

The other Wizard shook his head in disappointment and made the first one move aside.

He bent down to our eye level and he stood at a distance.

“We’ve been trying to get the location of the Hybrid from your mind but we couldn’t,” he said softly.

“What did you do?” He asked and I chuckled.

“It’s because I don’t know where she is, you FOOL!” I shouted and laughed.

He looked annoyed for a while before calmness returned to his face and he faced Lycian.

  “And you?” He asked.

“I also don’t know where she went,” he replied and I was surprised, but I didn’t show it. He knows where Xavier’s pack is right?

“We are not stupid. We anticipated something like this and only the Wizard who opened the portal knows where she went so you got the wrong people,” Lycian said, staring defiantly for them.

  Wow.

The Wizard nodded before standing up straight. He faced his partner before looking shortly at us.

“No matter how much you try or struggle, that baby she’s carrying won’t survive,” he said with a threatening tone.

“We’ll be back and if you’re not ready to talk willingly by then, you will talk by silver,” he threatened to torture us, before placing his hand on the shoulder of the other Wizard and the two of them walked out of the room.

As soon as the door closed, I faced Lycian, “Do you really not know where they went?” I asked.

“Of course not. I’m psychic to an extent and that’s why they can’t read my mind.” He scoffed and then he suddenly looked like he was scared of something.

“What?” I asked and he rested his head on the wall, facing me.

“He just said he’ll torture us and I’m scared,” he said, looking embarrassed. Why? I thought Werewolves and Vampires were supposed to be used to pain.

“As a Lycan, I don’t heal like other Werewolves and I feel pain much more,” he said and I looked at him in concern.

“I thought it was just your wolf form?” I stated as he had previously mentioned that he couldn’t shift into a wolf because of his ability to read minds.

“I have other abilities too like shapeshifting so the more special abilities I have, the more weakness I have,” he said and I couldn’t help but feel worried for him.

I had never seen him looking like this, although I had only known him for a short while.

I raised looked at the chains on my hand and I raised up my hands slowly, placing them on his shoulder.

“Don’t worry, I’m here and we’ll get through this together,” I assured with a smile.

“I won’t let them touch you,” I added and he nodded. We remained staring at each other and I looked at his bright blue eyes before my eyes flickered to his lips.

He slowly moved closer to me and I also moved towards him before crushing my lips on his.

I claimed his lips, kissing him passionately.

We both broke the kiss and we smiled at each other, before rushing at each other and kissing each other passionately. I moved closer to him and placed my hand at the back of his head, ignoring the biting pain on my wrists.

I felt my jeans tighten as we kissed and I wished this was happening under different circumstances. We finally broke the kiss and I smiled at him.

“Now, let’s find a way to get out of here.”
