Garr.
Maldoria.
I stepped out of the portal and snapped my fingers, closing it as I stepped into the building of the Gemini Clan. This was the clan that Miranda belonged to when she came to Maldoria.
I had moved to Maldoria long before every other Magician did so I was in a different clan. I came to Maldoria then to take up a teaching job at a Magical institution in South Maldoria.
I heard some years later that a particular dark Mage had committed some abominable dark magic arts that polluted Earth’s magical environment and Maldoria’s population increased by two times.
I greeted the Mages that passed by me with a slight nod as I made my way towards the green chamber. I was here to see some few friends of Miranda who could help me find some answers I needed.
I was about to turn into the last corridor that led to the green chamber when someone stopped me.
“You!” A Witch pointed her fingers at me and I turned around to face her, adjusting my hood.
I looked at her and recognized her as one of the Witches who came to the island and threatened to attack unless Valerie was released to them.
“You look familiar, have we met before?” She asked.
Only Miranda was known here. I hardly came to this side of Maldoria since I was always away at the Sentient Academy of Magical Arts where I taught as a a professor.
“I…..it’s likely,” I said and she stared at me inquiringly.
“I come here sometimes to see my sister, Miranda Griffin,” I said and she nodded in realization..
“Oh. Sorry, about your loss,” she said and I nodded, watching as she walked away.
I sighed in relief. It wouldn’t be good if anyone here recognizes me for helping the Hybrid escape.
They wouldn’t escape to crucify me and dig Valerie’s location out of my mind.
I continued walking and I spotted the golden arches doors of the Green chamber up ahead.
I opened the door of the chamber and looked inside. The chamber was made with glass walls and there were green plants climbing up the walls with blossomed flowers.
The chamber was very large and I scanned through it until my face stopped on the table with the group of people I just needed to see.
I walked over to them and as I stopped by their table, they looked up at me.
They looked at me for a while like I was a stranger and I sighed.
“I’m Garr Griffin,” I said, but they still looked like they didn’t know who I was.
I sighed again. It had been long I’ve been here and no one probably remembered me.
“I’m the brother of Miranda Griffin,” I said and the two men sitting at the table suddenly burst into laughter.
What?
“We knew you before, we’re just pulling you leg,” the first one said. He was huge and he had really bushy beards and goatee.
I think his name was Grendel.
I nodded with a smile and I pulled the chair he pointed out backward, sitting on it.
“So, Garr, why are you here?” The other one, Franco asked.
“It’s about Miranda,” I said and they all looked curious.
“I wanted to ask if any you know what happened to her before she showed up injured?” I asked and they glanced at each other.
“We don’t know what happened to Miranda,” Grendel replied.
“When we and the others all went on the Journey, we all had the places we would be going to planned out, but when we were done and supposed to come back, she told us to leave without her,” Franco added.
“It was several months later that she showed up and she was terribly injured,” he continued and I sighed.
I wanted to know what Miranda was afraid of exactly and what happened to her. She looked so scared when she came to me and I had to open her a portal because she wanted to quickly see Valerie on earth.
She also told Valerie to find a man named Magnus, but she didn’t mention who he was and why. She only mentioned that he could be found in the second plane.
“Okay, do you know anyone named Magnus?” I asked, “did she ever mention that name to you?” I asked.
They shrugged and shook their head.
“No.” Grendel replied and I sighed in frustration.
“We weren’t able to speak to Miranda for so many months and we were also shocked to hear that she was dead,” Grendel added and I nodded, before standing up.
I suddenly stopped again, and sat down again. One last thing.
“Do you either you have any idea of how to break the spell of a locked supernatural part of someone?” I asked, trying not to give too much information or give them any ideas of who I could be talking about.
I don’t know what their stand on this issue was so I had to be careful.
“No,” they replied together and I sighed in frustration, standing up again.
“But you can check with the librarian and see if there are any old Grimoires with the spell,” Franco suggested and I nodded.
“Okay. Thanks for your time,” I thanked them before walking away. I walked out of the chamber and adjusted my hood on my head again.
I had no idea why Miranda locked out Valerie’s Witch side and hid her true nature from everyone, but the only way to know that is if I could help her unlock it.
Maybe then, we’ll find answers on everything Miranda did. I looked at the left and right and decided to take the right path to find the library.
I suddenly stopped walking as I felt a spell I made activate. Someone just knocked on the door of my room back at the island on earth.
I decided to come back to complete my search later and I stretched out my hands to create a portal in the air.
As soon as the portal fully formed, I stepped into it.
What could they want?
