Xavier.
Valerie handed the dagger back to me and she raised up her hand. She bit her palm and as it bled, she held it to Raphael’s lip.
Raphael gently drank the blood and after a while, Valerie took her hand away.
I looked at Raphael, waiting for what would happen and all of a sudden, I saw color begin to return to his face and he opened his eyes widely.
What?
How was this happening? How could the blood of a Vampire heal a Werewolf. It had never happened.
All this things happening now began to make me wonder how powerful our child would be and I began to see why the Mages were after it’s life.
The prophecy about our child ending us all was the confusing thing though. Why would our child become evil.
Weren’t we around to train our child and lead our child in the right way.
Raphael who just looked like he was about to die now looked vibrant and filled with life. He sat up on the bed and looked at all of us, before stopping his gaze on Valerie’s bleeding palm that slowly healed up.
“H….how?” Raphael stuttered in surprise.
I and Valerie glanced at each other and remained staring as we thought of what to do.
Valerie gave an approving nod and I also nodded. Raphael could be trusted. At the moment, it would be better if not many people know about Valerie being pregnant. The more people know about it, the more people the Mages can use to get to us.
I walked to the door of the dorm and looked at both sides of the corridor to make sure that no one was there or eavesdropping on our conversation.
I walked back inside the dorm and closed the door.
“Raphael, Valerie is pregnant,” I said and Raphael looked surprised, facing Valerie.
“That’s…. that’s great,” he said with a congratulating smile, but the smile morphed away slowly and got replaced by a confused look.
“Still, how did her blood heal me?” He asked in confusion.
I faced Valerie again before looking back at Raphael. How do I start explaining? I thought to myself.
“Raphael, we discovered that Valerie is an Hybrid, an half Vampire, half Witch,” I explained and Raphael’s eyes widened his surprise, his mouth handing open.
“Is that even possible?” He asked dumbfoundedly and I nodded.
“Yes, and the Mages are after our baby because they consider him an abomination and imbalance,” I added and Raphael looked confused again.
“How do they know that she’s carrying a baby?” Raphael asked.
“And why do they think the child is an imbalance?”
“Because the child is going to be a Tribrid,” I replied and Raphael adjusted his sitting position on the bed.
“Tri… Tri what?” Raphael asked in surprise.
Yeah. Anybody who heard that would also be surprised. It had never been an actual word until now. No one has ever seen an Hybrid like the case of Valerie, but it had always been rumored of.
There was a slim possiblity that Hybrid’s existed and they were very rare. But no one has ever imagined one person having three different blood running through the person’s veins.
“Yes. He’s a Tribrid. Part Vampire, Part Werewolf, Part Mage,” I casually explained.
“We think that’s why Valerie’s blood was able to heal you,” Nathan said and Raphael faced him.
“Previously, Valerie wasn’t affected or injured by Silver,” he added and Raphael looked mind blown.
He climbed down from the bed and then looked like he had remembered something.
“Alex,” he muttered softly and he looked angry.
“Where is Alex? He attacked me, where is he?” He asked and I looked at his green wolf eyes shine brightly. He looked so angry and of Alex was standing before him right now, he wouldn’t hesitate to tear him apart.
“Raphael, I took care of Alex already,” I said and he faced me. His green wolf eyes slowly shifted to his normal grey eyes and his racing heartbeat slowed down.
I couldn’t blame him. Alex put him through a lot and he would have died if we didn’t come back earlier.
“Where is he? He brought those Rippers here,” Raphael said and his tensed breathing calmed.
“Yes. And he also tried to turn the whole pack against us, but Raphael, Alex can never hurt anyone ever again now,” I said.
“I killed Alex.” He looked surprised immediately I said that, but then it disappeared and changed into an approving look.
“He got what he deserved.” Immediately Raphael said that, the door to the dorm opened and I saw Roderigo step into the room.
He looked at all of us in the room, especially Raphael before looking back at me.
“Alpha, a portal just opened in front of the mansion and there are three people claiming to know you,” he said and I faced Valerie.
She also looked like she had realized who they could be, but it was better not to take any chances. It could be more Mages here to continue their attempts at taking our child’s life.
“I’m coming,” I replied Roderigo and nodded. I faced Valerie and placed my hand on her shoulder.
“I can go check,” Nathan said as he also knew the risk that was involved here and he was about to step forward and walk towards the door, but Jenna stopped him.
“No. Don’t you risk you life again,” Jenna shook her head in disapproval and she placed her hand tightly on Nathan’ shoulder.
She looked determined not to let him go and she glanced at Valerie.
“I also need you to be safe.” She was looking at Valerie even though she was talking to Nathan. It seemed that she and Valerie still hadn’t fixed things up since the last time when Nathan let himself get arrested by Nexus Services.
Nathan faced me with an apologetic look, but I gave a nod that said it was okay. I faced Valerie and placed my hand on her shoulder.
“Wait here, I’ll call you if it’s safe, but if you hear me howl, you have to run immediately,” I said and she nodded.
I took my hand off her shoulder and faced Roderigo, nodding at him for us to go.
I hope it was just Garr, Jordan, and Lycian.
