Chapter 109

  Jordan.

I walked back to the club and rushed to my car. I climbed in and ignited the engine, driving onto the road.

I dropped my phone on the empty seat next to me and pulled the gear.

What my dad said kept replaying over and over in my mind. Why was mom back from Maldoria and what happened to her?

This place wasn’t too far from the coven so I would get there in 15 minutes.

I heard my phone ring again and I looked sideways, grabbing the phone.

  It was Dad again.

I picked the call and dropped the phone, looking back at the road.

“Dad, I’m on my way already,” I said.

“Alright, hurry up,” his voice echoed out of the phone before he cut the call.

What could have gotten mom so injured tjsy she couldn’t heal herself with Magic?

Soon, I slowly drove into the territory of the coven. I rolled down the windows to show myself to the guards and they regarded me with nod, letting me drive through.

I reduced the speed as I approached my father’s house.

I pulled up before the building and I took the keys out of the car, climbing down. The front door opened and my dad stepped out to meet me.

He would have sensed me coming metres away already.

“Dad-“ I muttered and pulled him into a hug.

“Where’s mom? What happened to her?” I asked as we broke the hug. I was so worried right now and ny dad looked terribly pale.

“She’s in her room with your uncle Garr,” He said, pointing into the building.

  “Uncle Garr is here?”

“Yes, he brought your mom here with a portal from Maldoria this evening,” He replied and I quickly walked into the room. I hurriedly walked towards my mom’s room.

“…… when that happens, you have to use that last option,” I heard my mom’s voice and I walked to the door way, looking in to see her lying on a bed and talking to Garr.

Garr looked in my direction as he noticed me and I walked closer to them.

“Mom! What happened?” I asked and she looked at me. Her face was pale and her hair kept sparking.

“J..Jordan,” she muttered softly and I held her hand. I looked at Garr inquiringly, hoping that he knew what happened to her and how he could fix it.

“What happened to her?” I asked.

“She came to me at Maldoria looking like this. I asked her, but she also didn’t tell me anything except that I should bring her here,” Garr replied and I looked back at my mom.

  “Mom, what ha-“

“Jordan,” She interrupted me and her pale lips quivered.

“Jordan, I need to see Valerie,” She muttered softly.

Valerie, Valerie, Valerie! Why is she ever the only one she cares about. Ever since we were little, she was always so protective of Valerie and she gave her all the attention in this world.

“But M-“ I tried to protest and let her know that she needed to explain what happened so we can find a solution to this, but she interrupted me again.

“Jordan, I need to speak to Valerie,” she said again and I sighed.

  “Alright. I’ll call her.”

I blinked as we stepped out of the portal before a large mansion. Immediately, we were surrounded by Werewolves who were ready to attack.

“Hey, hey, calm down will you?” I said, gesturing with my hands for them to calm down.

“Who are you and what do you want here?” One of them asked with a threatening glare.

“We’re friends of your Alpha,” Lycian answered and I nodded. The man raised his eyebrows suspiciously.

“You can go confirm,” I said and he nodded. He walked into the mansion and we waited there with the dozen other men surrounding us.

I looked up again as Xavier showed up in the doorway and I waved.

Let them pass through,” he said in a demanding tone and they all moved aside. I looked at all of them and smirked before walking up the stairs to the front door.

Xavier moved aside so we could walk into the building. I expected to see Valerie standing beside him, but she wasn’t here so I stopped to face him.

“Where is Valerie?” I asked him.

“I wanted to make sure it was you guys,” he replied with an assuring nod, “this way.”

He led them towards the a room and as soon as we appeared in the door way, Valerie looked relieved to see it was us. Hearing that a portal opened must have gotten them to have doubts.

It could very much be another one of those Mages here to pursue their mission.

“Jordan, are you okay? You look so pale,” Valerie said worriedly and walked towards us. She touched my face in concern, but I shrugged it off and smiled.

“I’m fine, it was just some Wizards trying to get your location from me and Lycian’s mind and that’s why we had to come here?” I explained and she nodded, moving back a bit. I noticed Xavier looking at me inquiringly and I realized he might be worried that those Wizards now knew their location.

  M

“Don’t worry. I had no idea where this place is and Lycian’s mind is protected,” I assured with a nod.

“Jordan, how far did they try to dig, are you okay?” Garr asked in concern.

Immediately he asked that, I remembered everything I had seen in my mind. I remembered the dream about thr fight with that dark replica. I also remembered the dark replica’s image flashing in my mind and me acting strangely, but it was probably nothing and I didn’t want them to worry over an illusion.

I shook my head. “No, I’m absolutely fine.” I smiled and I noticed Xavier staring at me like he wasn’t convinced.

I was sure it was nothing, but if I noticed it getting out of hand, I would raise it once Valerie was finally safe from those Mages.
