Chapter 111

  Jordan.

  8 Months Later

  They did.

They bought the lie and it was already 8 months since Valerie was put into hibernation. Uncle Garr returned to Maldoria to resume his teaching job at an academy there while Lycian left the Moon Edge Pack so he could continue monitoring his companies and look over the island folks.

Half of the Mage population stayed on earth since it had now become habitable for them.

And I? Well, as much as I would have loved to stay at the Moon Edge Pack to ensure that Valerie was safe, I just couldn’t live with those snubbing Werewolves.

Plus, that coffin would never open until Valerie was about to give birth and I needed to have my own life.

By the time I returned, my boss at my work place handed me my termination letter and he already had my things packed out of he office.

I couldn’t blame. I suddenly disappeared without informing him or asking for permission.

I had a different job now though. A job that allowed me to always be with the man I loved; the CEO of Crescent Consolidated. Lycian Hale.

Lycian was ready to give me any job I wanted and had knowledge of, but I rejected it and I decided to take Stefan’s job instead and be his personal assistant.

I signed the file in my hand and stood up from the chair. I walked into the elevator and went to the ground floor.

“Have this files sent to Steve. The Starnex supplies have been authorized,” I said as I dropped the files on the desk of the secretary.

“All right,” the secretary replied and grabbed the files. I walked away and went back into the elevator. Lycian’s company dealth in the building, transporting and supplying of engines, parts of vehicles, aircrafts and some other engineering equipments.

I went back up to the executive floor and I waited in Lycian’s office. There was nothing to do now and Lycian was in the middle of a board meeting.

I pulled out my phone and began to go through the internet. I saw a message from Jenna and I clicked on it.

I had sent her a message earlier to ask if everything was okay over there.

  Jenna; Everything’s fine.

Jenna; Can I hire you on my wedding day for something?

And yes, Nathan had proposed to Jenna and they were already engaged. Their wedding would be in two weeks time.

I scrunched up my nose, trying to find out what it was and then I texted her back.

  Jordan; Hire me?

  Jordan; What is it?

I saw as the messages got ticked as delivered and I went to check my feed so I could laugh at some meme or see what other posts any of those celebrities had up.

Soon, my phone buzzed again and a notification popped up on my screen. It was a reply from Jenna.

Jenna; My mom travelled back home today and I went to see her.

Yes? I stared at the signal that she was typing, waiting for an explanation.

  Another text popped up.

Jenna; She introduced me to her boyfriend and I can’t have that man walk me down the aisle on my wedding day.

Okay? I was beginning to get what she wanted me to do.

Jordan; Is she dating an horse?

  Jenna; Lol. No.

Jenna; I just don’t like him, he’s Russian and he gives me this mafia-king pin vibes.

  Jordan; ??

Jenna; I don’t like him, but he’s got his hands wrapped around my mom’s head.

Jordan; Fine, what do you want?

Jenna; Unless you walk me down the aisle, he’s going to.

Jordan; I hate wearing tuxedos or suits. I can’t.

Jenna; I told my mom someone else is doing it already, and Xavier is already Nathan’ best man.

Jenna; You have to do this for me please?

My fingers hovered above the keyboard for a while as I thought about it.

  Jordan; Fine. I’ll do it.

  Jenna; Great. Thanks so much.

  Jordan; Wlcm.

  Jenna; Got to go.

I continued my roaming through the internet and I looked up when the door of the office opened. Lycian walked in and I dropped the phone on the desk standing up.

“Uurgh, I’m so exhausted,” he complained and loosened his tie.

“Mrs. Cranfield is a real pain in the ass.” He frowned and I walked towards him, helping him to loose his tie.

Yeah. That woman was an ass. An Ass that needed to be endured since she was one of the major shareholders in the company.

I heard that woman got divorced to three men in a year and she got half of the assets of all three men. Lycian mentioned that he was always extremely careful with that woman and he mentioned that she once sued a man who accidentally rested his hands on her laps to support himself after slipping for sexual assault.

She was really an annoying bitch.

“Well, you’ll only have to see her once or twice in a month,” I said and helped him pull off his tie.

“You know what I’ll be seeing everyday in a month?” Lycian asked and I stared at him inquiringly..

“Your sexy lips,” he said and suddenly pressed his lips against mine.

I kissed him back and slowly pushed him against the wall. He moaned as I nibbed on his lips and traced the shape of his lips with my tongue.

The telephone in the office rang and we broke the kiss, both of us glancing at the telephone.

  “Let’s ignore it,” Lycian said.

“It could be inportant,” I said, but he shook his head.

He grabbed my hair from behind and slowly began to trail kisses down my neck.

I moaned in pleasure as he loosened the upper buttons of my shirt and kissed me down from my neck to my collar bone.

I began to unbotton his shirt when someone suddenly knocked on the door.

Lycian roaned in frustration and the two of us broke apart. We quickly buttoned back our shirts and I adjusted the wrinkled part of my shirt at the front before going to open the door.

  It was the secretary.

“Mr. Hudgens, some men from Sanctum are here and they want to speak to you,” the secretary said and I glanced at Lycian, the both of us looking surprised.

  Sanctum?

Since Nexus Services was taken down, supernaturnals still needed a law guiding them so Sanctum was formed. This time, it wasn’t just politicians and supernatural hating humans there.

It was an open public body and it was headed and controlled by Supernaturals and Humans.

“Bring them up,” Lycian showed himself tothr secretary and she nodded.

I closed the door as she left and stared at Lycian.

Why could Sanctum officials want to see me.
