Chapter 112

  Jordan.

“Good night, Dan,” I greeted Dan who was sitting on a desk across my office. I took out my keys as I locked the door and I dropped it in my bag. I walked into the elevator and pressed the button for it to take me down to the ground floor.

I stepped out of the elevator as soon as it hissed open.

“Good night Jordan,” the receptionist greeted from her desk and I waved my hand at her with a smile before walking out of the building. I went to the parking space and walked towards my old Hyundai. That car had served me for almost four years now and soon, I would have to let go of it. I opened the car and climbed in, igniting the engine.

The engine started and I moved the car, driving onto the main road. The drive from my place of work to my apartment was just 5 minutes and I soon arrived. I slowed down as I got to the drive way and I parked the car in the garage.

I turned off the engine and climbed down from the car, dropping the car keys in my bag.

“Good evening Mr. Hudgens,” I heard Mrs. Bill’s vibrant voice and I looked at the house next to mine to see Mrs. Bill sitting at the front porch with her dog.

She was a simple woman in her early seventies and she was a widow. She had a daughter who visited her occasionally and her only companion was her dog, George.

I waved at her with a smile, “Good Evening. How’s George?” I asked her.

“He’s fine now, the Vet gave him some injections and he’s getting better,” she said with a smile and I nodded as I inserted my house key into the front door and opened it.

I walked into the house and switched on the lights as I closed the doors.

I sighed as I dropped my bag on the couch and I loosened my tie. I took off my coflins and dropped them carefully on the table next to the lamp.

I suddenly felt a sudden movement and saw the quick flashing of a shadow on the wall in front of me.

I turned around and immediately, someone grabbed me by the collar of my shirt and kissed me.

  Nicole.

“You scared me, when did you come in?” I asked as I broke the kiss. She smiled at me seductively and bit her voluptuous red lips.

“I just came in through the windows,” She said and I frowned.

“I don’t like leaving the windows open, I forget to close them most times,” I shook my head.

“We’re Vampires and we have nothing to be scared of,” she stated and grabbed me again, pressing her body against mine.

I moaned as I claimed her lips in mine, and she slammed me against the wall. She began to nibble at my lips and I felt a sharp pain in my lips as she bit it.

Her tongues circled my lips, licking the blood off them.

I pulled her hair from behind and began to trail kisses down her neck. She moaned loudly as I grabbed her butt from behind and moved her closer to me, my erection in my pants pressing against her stomach.

I suddenly broke apart from her and she made a frustrated sigh.

“I’m thirsty,” I said and she sighed again. It has been long since I’ve had blood and even though it was easy to get, I had just been lazy.

“I know a club we can go to,” Nicole said and walked towards the couch. She reached into my bag and pulled out my car keys.

“I’ll drive.” She said and stepped out of the door. I walked to the door too and switched off the lights before closing the door.

Nicole was already in the car and she started the car. I opened the door and as I sat next to her, she slowly drove out of the garage.

She slowly reversed into the drive way and once she was safely on the road, she pulled the gear and zoomed across the road.

I looked out the window at the busy nights. There were stores, shops and restaurants on the road and cars were passing by us every second..

I felt the car finally pull off and I looked up to see a club building.

“We’re here,” Nicole said and pulled out the car keys. She climbed down from the car and slammed the door shut. I climbed down too and I followed her towards the club building.

The guards at the door regarded her with a nod and they let us into the club.

The club was noisy, flashing with bright disco lights, and super crowded with people.

I looked straight up, following Nicole and she finally stopped at the bar.

I pulled up a chair and sat next to her. A barman walked up to us and she smiled at him.

“Hey NIC,” he greeted her and grabbed the glass cups on the counter, passing it to someone else.

He looked at me and his gaze lingered on me for a while like he was scanning me. I smiled at me and he looked back at Nicole.

“Who’s this one?” He asked and I fake smiled as he talked like I wasn’t sitting here.

“He’s Jordan and he’s thirsty, can you get him some special?” Nicole asked with a flattery smile.

The bar man looked at me again before disappearing behind the bar stand. He came back a minute later and he dropped a metal cup on the table so the content couldn’t be seen.

I looked inside the cup and saw the thick red liquid in it.

I grabbed the cup and slowly gulped down the blood. It wasn’t just blood though. It was stronger and it burnt my throat.

“What’s this?” I asked and Nicole smiled.

“Blood, gin, and plasma, so much stronger and better?” Nicole smiled and stood up.

“I’ll be right back,” Nicole said and stood up, disappearing into the crowd.

I stood there alone and the bar man looked at me again before going to attend to another customer.

I looked at my wristwatch as I began to get tired of waiting for Nicole. I stood up so I could go look for her.

Walking through the club, I constantly avoided getting hit by people as I searched for her. I couldn’t find her anywhere. I decided to go search for her in the restroom.

The noise reduced as I walked towards the restroom and I heard a groan. I got curious and walked towards the sound of the groan.

I gasped as I saw Nicole feeding on a man’s neck. She raised her head up as she noticed me and her face was covered in blood.

I looked at the battered neck of the man and his body slowly fell to the floor..

“He….he’s dead,” I stuttered in surprise and Nicole wiped her mouth.

“Jordan-“ she started, but I raised my hand to stop her.

“The fact that we are Vampires doesn’t give us the right to kill,” I said angrily and I took a look at the dead man again. This was the second time I’ll see her killing a human while feeding on them.

“It’s just one man,” she said and she didn’t even look remorseful.

“Yeah, him and the man at the restaurant and the several others you must have killed,” I retorted.

  “Jor-“

“It’s okay. I don’t want ever see you again near me. I can’t be in a relationship with a murderer,” I interrupted her and walked away in anger..

I never wanted to have anything to do with her again.
