Mr. Hudgens, some men from Sanctum are here and they want to speak to you,” the secretary said and I glanced at Lycian, the both of us looking surprised.
Sanctum?
Since Nexus Services was taken down, supernaturnals still needed a law guiding them so Sanctum was formed. This time, it wasn’t just politicians and supernatural hating humans there.
It was an open public body and it was headed and controlled by Supernaturals and Humans.
“Bring them up,” Lycian showed himself tothr secretary and she nodded.
I closed the door as she left and stared at Lycian.
Why could Sanctum officials want to see me.
I looked at the door as it was knocked again and I glanced at Lycian before going to open the door.
The secretary was at the door and behind here were two men and a lady.
“Thank you, you can go Stephanie,” Lycian said and the secretary nodded before leaving.
“Come in,” I said to the Sanctum officials, looking at the badges and emblem on their uniform.
The walked into the office and I closed the door behind.
“We were told you wanted to see me,” I said and they nodded.
The man who looked the oldest camw forward and took out a sheet of paper out of nowhere.
“Yes, Mr. Jordan Hudgens right?” He asked and I nodded in affirmation.
“Yes.”
“We have a warrant of arrest for you, Mr Hudgens,” he said and held the sheet of paper towards me. I glanced at Lycian in surprise.
What the hell did I do?
“What?!” I exclaimed.
“Did you just say arrest?” I asked.
“Mr. Hudgens, you need to follow us to our office now and we’ll explain everything when we get there,” he said and I slowly reached out to take the arrest warrant from him.
They were right, they had a warrant to arrest me, but what did I do?
“What did he do wrong?” Lycian said, stepping forward. I had totally no idea of what crime I might have committed.
“You have the wrong person, I didn’t do anything wrong,” I said and shook my head.
“Mr. Hudgens, you have the right to remain silent, everything you say can and will be used against you in the Sanctum court of law,” he said and he gave a signal to the other two.
The two of them came forward and the lady took out silver handcuffs and grabbed my arms before me.
“No, what are you doing?!” Nathan shouted and wanted to push her off me, but her partner pushed him back by the chest.
I stared at them in bewilderment and couldn’t do anything as she strapped the handcuffs around my hand.
The older official took out a small device and he switched it on, a small signal blue light lighting up.
Blue waves flowed out of the light and began to whirl in the air. They were opening a fucking portal from a device.
“Fine. I’m coming with you,” Lycian said and they faced him.
“Yes, he is. He’s family,” I said and they nodded before looking back at the portal.
The portal fully formed and I muttered a curse beneath my breath, sighing as they made me walk into portal.
Walking through the club, I constantly avoided getting hit by people as I searched for her. I couldn’t find Nicole anywhere. I decided to go search for her in the restroom.
The noise reduced as I walked towards the restroom and I heard a groan. I got curious and walked towards the sound of the groan.
I gasped as I saw Nicole feeding on a man’s neck. She raised her head up as she noticed me and her face was covered in blood.
I looked at the battered neck of the man and his body slowly fell to the floor..
“He….he’s dead,” I stuttered in surprise and Nicole wiped her mouth.
“Jordan-“ she started, but I raised my hand to stop her.
“The fact that we are Vampires doesn’t give us the right to kill,” I said angrily and I took a look at the dead man again. This was the second time I’ll see her killing a human while feeding on them.
“It’s just one man,” she said and she didn’t even look remorseful.
“Yeah, him and the man at the restaurant and the several others you must have killed,” I retorted.
“Jor-“
“It’s okay. I don’t want ever see you again near me. I can’t be in a relationship with a murderer,” I interrupted her and walked away in anger..
I never wanted to have anything to do with her again.
I walked out of the restroom and walked into the main club, the insanely loud music even adding more to the anger I was feeling.
I realized I hadn’t paid for what I bought and my car keys wasn’t with me. I walked back to the bar and looked there, but my car keys were not there and the barman who attended to me wasn’t there.
He seemed to know Nicole well so I couldn’t leave without paying him. I didn’t want to owe them or give them any reason to come after me.
My car keys were also with Nicole.
I saw another Barman walk up to me and he stared at me inquiringly. He was human so he probably didn’t know about the blood sale.
“Sorry, I’m looking for the Barman that was here earlier. He’s tall and huge,” I said, raising my hand up to describe how tall he was.
The Barman seemed to realized who I was talking about and he pointed at a place behind the bar.
“He went to his store room,” he said and I nodded, muttering a thanks.
I walked to where he pointed to and the volume of the music got lower and lower. It also got darker and darker.
I finally spotted a door and I walked towards it. I could here some sound inside and I slowly opened the door.
I gasped as I saw what was happening inside the room. Nicole and the Bar Man were standing over three dead bodies, one of them being the man Nicole killed in the restroom.
Nicole and the Bar Man looked up, surprised to see me and the Barman looked very angry..
The dead men were not so dead after all. I could hear their hearts now beating, but that was not all, they now smelt Vampire and not Human.
Nicole and the barman were turning them!
“What is your guy doing here?” The barman asked Nicole in an irritated tone.
“I don’t know. I thought you were leaving?” Nicole asked, standing up straight.
“Why are you turning this humans?” I asked and Nicole was about to talk, but I raised up my hand to stop her.
“You know what? I don’t want to know. I don’t want to have an idea of what this is,” I said, shaking my head.
“I came here to get my car keys,” I said, stretching out my hand. Nicole nodded and reached into her pocket, took out the car keys and handed it to me.
I faced the Barman, “how much for the blood.”
“You don’t have to pay, just keep your mouth shut about what happened here or we’ll get you,” the Barman said in a threatening tone and I scoffed.
“It’s none of my business. I just don’t want you around me again,” I retorted and took a glance at the transitioning Vampires before walking out of the room.
