The dead men were not so dead after all. I could hear their hearts now beating, but that was not all, they now smelt Vampire and not Human.
Nicole and the barman were turning them!
“What is your guy doing here?” The barman asked Nicole in an irritated tone.
“I don’t know. I thought you were leaving?” Nicole asked, standing up straight.
“Why are you turning this humans?” I asked and Nicole was about to talk, but I raised up my hand to stop her.
“You know what? I don’t want to know. I don’t want to have an idea of what this is,” I said, shaking my head.
“I came here to get my car keys,” I said, stretching out my hand. Nicole nodded and reached into her pocket, took out the car keys and handed it to me.
I faced the Barman, “how much for the blood.”
“You don’t have to pay, just keep your mouth shut about what happened here or we’ll get you,” the Barman said in a threatening tone and I scoffed.
“It’s none of my business. I just don’t want you around me again,” I retorted and took a glance at the transitioning Vampires before walking out of the room.
I didn’t trust Nicole and that Barman at all, and I knew that whatever it is they were doing, it was illegal and it could put me in trouble.
I made a mental note never to come back to this club and to stay as far away from Nicole as possible.

I blinked as I stepped out of the portal. We were in a large building and I looked up to see the white ceiling several metres up.
There were different floors in the building, but the centre had no seperation. There were Sanctum agents walking around, or floating in the air..
“Leave me you jerks!” I looked sideways to see two Sanctum agenta dragging a female Vampire they had handcuffed. She was struggling to break free from them, but it looked like they had a tough grip on her. One of them was a Vampire, the other was a Mage.
“You bloody motherf*cking as*holes are gonna pay for this,” She screamed at them, “you can suck my ass!” I watched as they dragged her away and disappeared into an elevator.
“Let’s go,” the lady beside me nudged me to move and I followed them, taking a look at everywhere as I walked.
We finally walked into an elevator, and as it closed, I expected the normal elevator speed, but the elevator seemed to zoom and almost immediately, the elevator opened again.
I sighed as I had nearly lost balance and I followed them out of the elevator. We were on another floor and I could see the ground floor several metres below, by looking over the short glass walls at the edge.
We continued walking and they all finally stopped before an office. The door opened on it’s own as we stopped before it and we walked into the office.
There was a desk at the far end of the office and a man was sitting behind it, looking at some files on his desk.
He looked up as he noticed us walk in and he took off his eye glasses, dropping it on the desk.
His gaze landed on me and he looked at me up and down before smiling.
“Take off the handcuff please?” He asked and the lady took the handcuffs of my wrists. I sighed and massaged my hurting wrists.
“I’m Dyrell, have you sit,” he said and he pointed at an empty chair before his desk. I nodded and walked forward, pulling thr chair backward, and sitting down.
He looked behind me and his gaze landed on Lycian.
He looked at him inquiringly, squinting his eyes, “are you here with him?” He asked.
“Yes,” Lycian replied.
“Oh. Okay, you can have your sit too,” Darrell said and Lycian also walked forward, sitting next to me.
He grabbed my hand in and smiled with a reassuring nod before looking back at Darell.
“I was showed a warrant of my arrest and I was brought here,” I started and swallowed. Darell nodded.
“I’ll like to know the reason for my arrest because I don’t think I’ve done anything that goes against the supernatural law,” I said and Darell smiled. He was about to talk when a phone rang out.
I looked sideways at Lycian and he began to search himself before taking out his phone from a pocket in his jacket.
“It’s Stefan,” Lycian said.
“Excuse me,” he said and stood up, walking to the other corner of the room.
“Yes?.......okay…….we’re at the Sanctum headquarters…….. I’ll explain to you later….yes, take care of it for now.” Lycian finally cut the call before walking back to us and sitting.
“Sorry about that,” he apologized and Darell brushed it off with a wave of his hand.
“You were arrested for the illegal break in and stealing of blood,” Darell stated.
What? The heck?!
I don’t remember stealing blood at all. I get every blood I take from the Sanctum rations or my hunting ticket. All of this started too within these eight months.
“What?! I never did that,” I said, shaking my head in disapproval of that accusation.
Darell nodded with a gentle smile and he faced the laptops sitting on his desk. He typed rapidly on it before turning the laptop around for us to see.
“This footage was taken 10 months ago at the Nectar Blood Donation Center,” Darell said and played the video.
I looked at the footage of me packing bloodbags from a refrigerator and hurriedly putting it in a bag I was holding. Then a guard walked into the room and I stopped. The video continued and I was confronted by the guard and a doctor.
Darell stopped the video as I was seen zooming out of the room, appearing as a blur.
I sighed and muttered a curse as I remembered when Jenna and I stole those blood bags so I’d have enough strength to break into that Nexus Services facility.
Why the hell were they bringing this up now!!
